Ubisoft brings Episode 1 of the First DLC, Lost Tales of Greece #3, new Ghostly Gear and Naval Packs and new Photo Mode Features to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

The developers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey from Ubisoft revealed what can we expect to be added to the game in the final month of 2018 and a reminder of what the roadmap lists for the beginning of 2019. The highlights fall on the first DLC, which introduces Darius – the Persian warrior, who first wielded the Hidden Blade. Also this month the third quest from the free series Lost Tales of Greece will arrive. To top things of, the devs have enhanced the capabilities of the integrated photo mode, so those of you who like to stop and take a picture of their character, would be happy. Even more – two new Packs will make you look like a ghost and new Weekly Missions ought to keep you busy!

Now, like we always do, let’s get into some more details on each one of these topics!

LEGACY OF THE FIRST BLADE: EPISODE 1 – HUNTED

LEGACY OF THE FIRST BLADE EPISODE 1 - HUNTED

This is the title of the first episode of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s first paid DLC. The Legacy of the First Blade will unfold in three episodes. Hunted was released on December 4th. Episodes 2 and 3 are expected to arrive early in 2019.

The DLC is focusing heavily on story, as opposed to the DLCs for last year’s Origins. Here Ubisoft has opted to not add any new territories. Instead, the action happens on the same map that you have been roaming and exploring for the past few weeks.

Darius is a mysterious Persian warrior, who you will meet almost immediately after the start of the quest. He is the first person to ever wield the legendary weapon of the Assassins – the Hidden Blade. Darius’s blade, however, spawns from the top of his hand and he’s got all of his fingers.

At first it is unknown if he is a friend or foe and you will have to discover that on your own.

As the official announcement says – you’ll acquire never before seen abilities and legendary equipment to battle against unrelenting Persian enemies on both land and sea, as you continue your Odyssey and become a true hero. If you choose higher difficulty and play as a naughty Mercenary (build up your Bounty), you will see Alexios (or Kassandra) in several tough situations, having to fight for his/her life.

To play the first episode, you must complete the Naxos questline in Episode 7 of the main game, and be Level 28 or higher.

LOST TALES OF GREECE #3 – THE IMAGE OF FAITH

LOST TALES OF GREECE #3 - THE IMAGE OF FAITH

After you’ve performed the task of an actor in a theater play and chased myths in the first two quests from the series, the third one – The Image of Faith – will send you off to talk to a sculptor and find out why a village revers you as a god.

The famous sculptor’s name is Polykleitos and he’s located in Arkadia. To start the quest, you need to be on Ellis. The starter quest’s title is “The Measure of a Man” and is for a level 35 or higher character. This quest is available for you even after certain events unfold from the main story, so you have nothing to worry about. Feel free to save this mission for later and play it separately at higher level (like I will :P).

While Episode 1: Hunted is part of the paid Season Pass, this quest chain is completely free to all players who meet the requirements to unlock it.

OTHER NEW FEATURES AND CHANGES

Update 1.1.1 is already live and even though it did not offer new content in terms of quests and story, it is one of the best updates for the higher level players. After reaching level 50, you unlock the Mastery Level System, which allows you to keep spending your Ability Points in a very meaningful way – stacking passive bonuses that increase your stats and performance in combat.

Ubisoft enhanced and improved the Photo Mode, allowing you to create stunning photos with new filters and effects even easier than before. The Fog tool will allow you to increase or reduce the fog in the surrounding, so if you’re looking to add some ambience to your photo, this is the function to play around with. The Bloom feature is best used for light sources, and will make their brilliance truly shine. The subjects near the enhanced light will also receive that extra glow, so make sure to try it out!
The first official Photo Mode Contest organized by Ubisoft starts on December 10th. The theme is the Aegean Sea.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - Tyrrhenian Ship - Ubisoft Club Reward

A new item is added to the Ubisoft Club Rewards section. You can purchase the Tyrrhenian Ship Design for 30 Units. Of course, you need to connect to your Ubisoft Club account to do so.

Check out the Club for other cool rewards before your points expire.  Ubisoft is expected to introduce a time limit to your earned Units before they expire and you lose them.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Celestial Pack

The Celestial Gear Pack grants you a new unique appearance. it consists of an armor set, weapon and a horse.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Celestial Naval Pack

The Naval pack grants you a new skin for your ship, figurehead and crew.

The newly added Weekly Contracts will present new challenges for you as well. By tasking you to use different types of weapons and approaches to your objectives, these missions are hopefully going to further diversify your gameplay and get you out of your comfort zone of “My favorite Armor X and my best Weapon Y”.

The mobile game Assassin’s Creed Rebellion was also recently released for iOS and Android.
