This is an April Fools post. The information below is not real!
BioWare – developers of the MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic and the looter-shooter Anthem, have combined their teams’ efforts to gain mutual benefits! Anthem will get a ton of non-jedi armor sets and outfits, and the Freelancer will be the first post-launch new class, added to the MMO!
Good news! It’s been over a month since the launch of Anthem and one of the highest complaints from the community has been the complete lack of armor sets and packs both in-game as well as in the real-money store. BioWare announced today that the two teams of developers working on SWTOR and Anthem have been in collaboration for years to bring us something exclusive!
The new SWTOR-inspired Anthem Armor Packs
Anthem has suffered enough from the lack of outfits for the four javelins. SWTOR steps up to help in this desperate moment by donating a huge amount of non-jedi outfits and armor sets to be imported very soon into Anthem and tweaked to fit the javelins of our pilots. Why not the jedi armors? Come on, you know it would not be appropriate. So does BioWare, I guess.
It is rumored that all these will be either a free addition to the game and granted retroactively for completing missions from the Crit Path or be available for obtaining through upcoming new missions. Some may be even added as rewards to Strongholds. If you play SWTOR, you know that the armor sets all have set bonuses. Some of these may be transferred to be used by the Javelins, but will only be an exclusive reward for the Grandmaster 3 difficulty Strongholds and Legendary Missions.
The new Freelancer Class in SWTOR
The new class in SWTOR will be a level 50 exclusive hero type of a class. It will have its own story, but will only have one talent tree (discipline). You will be able to go through everybody’s favorite 25 chapters of KOTFE and KOTET expansions and continue into the endgame with it, because BioWare knows that we all can’t get enough of the Skytroopers.
The new class will be a mix of a healer and Tank. Some players already speculate that it may be mirroring the paladin from WoW’s golden age. In the featured image you can see the new class in action on Ord Mantel.
HAPPY APRIL 1ST, 2019!
I hope you find this fake news inspiring and entertaining! SWTOR and Anthem are the two games I currently play and have no plans switching away from, so I always do my best to cover all the latest news and updates, including this very “special” one!
