Avengers: Endgame gets re-release with extra footage

Manfred by Manfred|

The Avengers: Endgame is still hunting for the record that is currently in possession of Avatar; The world’s highest grossing box office movie. The record is currently $2,787,965,087 and Avengers: Endgame is at $2,751,033,039. So give or take a few $100.000, the difference between the two is only 36 million dollars. Anyone got that laying around somewhere? I am a dollar short or else I would have helped out. Anything for my favorite movie of all time.

The Avengers: Endgame is going to be rereleased in pursuit of those 36 million of your hard and well earned money. The rerelease will be in theaters in the USA in the weekend of June 28th and will run for a number of weeks. Sadly, they didn’t tell us how long for.

According to Box Office Mojo, Avengers: Endgame will be adding about 1000 screens this weekend in North America for an estimate of 1950+ – well over the estimated 985 screens it played on over last weekend.

I don’t know about the rest of Europe but according to Tweets of the biggest cinema in The Netherlands, we can expect the movie sometimes next week.

Avengers: Endgame releases new footage

Avengers: Endgame rerelease adds an unfinished deleted scene, a video intro Endgame co-director Anthony Russo, you get to watch extra footage of Spiderman: Far From Home before the big premiere on July 2 and the chance to get an exclusive poster (while supplies last). The poster is show on on Marvel’s official Twitter page:

Spiderman: Far From Home leads out Infinity Saga

Speaking of Spiderman: Far From Home, head honcho Kevin Feige confirms that Spiderman’s latest upcoming movie will be the closer of the Infinity Saga as a whole.

In an interview Kevin Feige tells us the following:

“We’ve been working for many years on Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home,” Feige says in the video. “Those were the films that were culminating the entire Infinity Saga of the MCU. And as we were working on Endgame we realized that the true end of the entire Infinity Saga, the final film of Phase 3, had to be Spider-Man: Far From Home, because — spoiler — we lose Tony Stark at the end of Endgame.

“The relationship between Peter Parker and Tony Stark is so special over the five films that Tom Holland has portrayed Spider-Man in the MCU, that we needed to see where his journey went, and see how does Spider-Man step out of the shadow of his mentor, Tony Stark, and become the true hero that he was always meant to be. And it’s for that reason that Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home are essentially two pieces of the same story, and it’s not over yet until Spider-Man: Far From Home.”

With Spiderman being the closer of the entire Infinity Saga, are you looking forward to seeing the ending? How will the world deal with the world five years later? And are you looking forward to watching Marvel’s Phase four? I did a little piece of what Marvel stories can be adapted for the Marvel Cosmic Phase.
