With NVIDA finally revealing their RTX 30 series, we finally got a glimpse of what gaming in the future looks like with a special preview of Cyberpunk 2077 in 4K complete with Raytracing and DLSS to make the game an unforgettable experience.

The Cyberpunk 2077 trailer is jawdropping

The Cyberpunk 2077 trailer features all the high end technology that comes with the release of the new RTX 30 series. This includes Raytracing, DLSS and much more. The show what the card is capable of doing and giving you a taste to wet your appetite of all the good stuff that is coming to your gaming screen very soon, CD Red Projekt has released a RTX On trailer online.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is a technologically advanced game capable of generating marvelous visuals. It also boldly spearheads the future of real-time graphics by taking advantage of GeForce RTX 30 Series’ 2nd generation ray tracing and the advanced AI of NVIDIA DLSS. Simulated reflections, lifelike shadows, and true-to-form diffuse illumination and ambient occlusion — they all make my heart beat faster and I hope everyone will share that feeling when the game’s out in November.” – Jakub Knapik, Art Director of Lighting and FX, CD PROJEKT RED”

Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable with all RTX 30 series features such as RayTracing and DLSS effects on GeForce Now, NVIDIA’s gamestream platform which is available on Apple, Chromebooks, Android Devices. Using the GeForce NOW app on PC, Mac, SHIELD TV, Android devices and now Chromebooks, gamers can play their favorite PC titles already purchased from popular digital stores like Steam, Epic Games Store and Uplay.

I have been looking forward to the new Cyberpunk 2077 by following Vulkk’s coverage and while I haven’t preordered the game, the trailer may convince me anyway to buy it. The gameplay looks solid and the story, well it is a CD Red Projekt game so you can expect a deep story with extensive RPG options built into the game. CD Red Projekt is the studio that brought us The Witcher series. Another favorite on Vulkk.com. I am enthausiastic about the game and can’t wait for it to be released. Please let Vulkk.com know if you are going to play the game by leaving a comment in the comment section.

Cyberpunk 2077 features Ray-Traced Diffuse Illumination, Ray-Traced Reflections, Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion, Ray-Traced Shadows, and NVIDIA DLSS.

Next to the amazing trailer, Rockstar Energy Drinks also added a nice trailer to their website:

Oh and let’s not forget to congratulate Keanu Reeves on his birthday. He turns 56 today!

The NVIDIA RTX 30 series unveil

NVIDIA unveiled their latest RTX 30 series last night and they are amazing. A more than solid increase in performance. The GeForce RTX 3080 series will be available starting September 17, 2020 at the price of €719,- while a week later the GeForce RTX 3090 will be released at the hefty price of €1549. In October the release of GeForce 3070 will be released at the price of €519. Prices may very per region / currency.

NVIDIA RTX 3080, all gamers want and need

Nvidia RTX 3080

NVIDIA positioned the 3080 as THE most important videocard for gamers. Furthermore NVIDIA claims that the 3080 is twice as fast as the 2080 at the same price. NVIDIA bases that on having tested the cards on 4k with heavy graphical games. NVIDIA does not show any benchmarks. Which is a shame but we can wait for guys like Jay’s Two Cents, Gamers Nexus and Linus TechTips to give us the actual benchmarks and see if what NVIDIA claims is true.

NVIDIA RTX 3090, the enema of the Titan series

The NVIDIA RTX 3090 is the enema of the Titan series but it doesn’t come cheap. With a hefty price of €1549,- the card comes with 24 gigabyte of GDDR6x, which is currently the fastest memory on the market. Physically the card stands out and NVIDIA claims that the card is made for gaming on a 8K resolution. But do those screens even exist I wonder? Please let me know by dropping a comment.

NVIDIA RTX 3070, the little brother

Nvidia RTX 3070

The NVIDIA RTX 3070 won’t be released until October with no exact date of release at this time. The card has 8 gb of memory but with only just the regular GDDR6 and not the GDDR6X. The card is currently priced at €519,-.

So what do you make of NVIDIA’s presentation of their new line of products? Would you consider buying any of the cards that is listed here? I personally would consider buying one of them. Most likely the NVIDIA RTX 3080, it gives me the most bang for my buck. And since I am dutch, I am proud to say that I am pretty cheap.

I am really looking forward for RayTracing to take off. Games like the rumored remaster of the Mass Effect trilogy. Or upcoming games like Dragon Age 4. Assassins Creed: Valhalla is another candidate on the list of games that I would like to see with full Raytracing and DLSS. Games I can only dream of having it build in standard.

More upcoming titles that I am looking forward to seeing with NVIDIA’s latest tech are Suicide Squad and Gotham Knights. I would add games that are already out such as Shadow of the Tomb Raider but somehow I wasn’t too impressed with the way they handled Raytracing. It could be the RTX 20 series but it could also be because the developers added it afterwards to the game. Maybe the games who retroactively added Raytracing will look better on the RTX 30 series.
