Happy Friday, Freelancer! Anthem’s Featured Store received its regular refresh a moment ago and this review will show you the six items that will be available during the weekend, until next Tuesday! There are, two armor packs, a victory pose animation, a graphic, a decal and a material. Before all that, I have a quick update to share with you regarding the Anthem 2.0 September blog from BioWare!
This article combines my usual Featured Store Friday update with what I started a few months ago – a monthly recap and overview of Anthem 2.0 (or NEXT) development news and info. And a few other things worth mentioning!
A note on Bioware’s Anthem 2.0 September update
Before you jump to the regular store items review, allow me a moment to update you on BioWare’s promised for September blog post detailing another segment of Anthem 2.0’s development.
The information was not much and not really worth a separate news article. That makes me sad…
The September Anthem 2.0 update is… late
Christian Dailey did not post much during the month of September and the aforementioned post was delayed. Currently we have no information when it will be ready.
Christian started working on it way back in the middle of August. In one of his few tweets in September he mentioned that the blog will not be ready this month and he will inform us when it is ready and send for approval.
Approval is a tedious and long process for EA. The fact that the blog post was not ready yet even for that phase, is a worrying me a little.

What Christian shared in September
During the past month Christian shared a few concept art images and did not reveal much else. The upcoming blog post will show where the skills and progression systems are heading to for the Anthem Revamp project.
Christian tweeted this funny comment and I remember seeing a few players actually getting worried about the possibility of Anthem transforming into a First-person game.
At the end of October BioWare published a long-delayed blog post revealing a completely redesigned builds system and a new javelin type coming with what might be finally confirmed to be Anthem NEXT, although I keep calling it Anthem 2.0 or Anthem Redesign for clarity.
A new in-depth Interceptor Javelin Guide
Thanks to RubyJavelin, a regular contributor to VULKK.com and a well-known guide-writer in the Anthem community, I am proud to present you the first in-depth Anthem Javelin Guide: The Interceptor!
It features everything you would ever need to know to learn and master the class: introduction to the javelin, overview of all abilities and gear and a great builds section in the end, showing you what you can do with some proper gear and abilities combination.
If you are a skilled player with any of the other three Javelins and want to produce something similar (or anything else Anthem-related not yet covered by me or Ruby on VULKK.com), contact me at info@vulkk.com and we will discuss it!
The Festive challenge that came by and went away
I am not even sure why this has to be mentioned, the challenge is no longer available and if you missed it, you will only get angry possibly.
If you are not an achievement hunter, however, I think you would want to know that ten days ago BioWare added a new challenge to Anthem. The Festive: Fruits of the Hunt was a limited-time weekly that disappeared the next week.
This challenge tasked you with hunting down six types of animals and monsters across Bastion in any game mode. The reward for completing it was 5 Guardian Tokens and 20 000 Crystals.
I cannot tell if this was a left-over from last year’s festivities or BioWare just wanted to surprise the current population of Anthem and see how many would even notice this new challenge. It was not advertised anywhere officially. I didn’t notice any announcements from the studio about it at least.
It’s silly that a simple small challenge that adds nothing new to the game in terms of content is worth writing about in a monthly update, but the current situation and total lack of any other more meaningful news leaves space for such small things to find their place in the light.
I have to admit, I did not enjoy hunting for Wyverns. Reloading several times the Heart of Rage to speed things up and finish the challenge sooner frustrated me a little :)))

To access the store, open the main menu (press ESC on PC) and click on “Featured” tab at the top or simply visit the market in Fort Tarsis and find the vendor called Prospero.

That’s all from the Anthem Store October 2 2020 refresh. The next one is expected in four days – on Tuesday. If there are armor packs, you will have a chance to check them out in full size and various color schemes. in both video and image formats.
Note: This article is not sponsored or endorsed by EA or BioWare. Myself and VULKK.com are not affiliated with EA in any way.
