A full list and detailed guide on how to complete all challenges in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla available from Ubisoft Connect for all platforms
The article details specifically the Uplay Challenges available on the Ubisoft Connect PC platform, but the challenges are the same ones and grant the same amount of XP to Console players, because Ubisoft Connect translates to consoles as well. So, here’s how to complete challenges in the game and get rewarded!

What are Challenges in AC Valhalla
Every Assassin’s Creed game comes with a collection of Challenges or Achievements if you prefer. These are specific actions you must take or tasks you need to complete.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla offers currently over thirty challenges and they vary from very easy and related to the main story to some that are more time-consuming and may involve a bit of a grind to get.
Completing challenges reward you with XP. This isn’t in-game XP, though. It’s XP for your Ubisoft Level. Leveling up in the Ubisoft platform grants you a specific currency, called “Club Units”.
Club Units are different from Helix Credits, which you can purchase for real-life money and spend on the Ubisoft Store.
Ubisoft Club Points allow you to purchase items for your favorite games, in our case Assassin’s Creed. These points are the for all Ubisoft games. In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you can purchase mount and bird skins or a weapon from the Rewards Tab.
How to find the Challenges list in AC Valhalla
The Challenges for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are available in the Ubisoft Connect platform. They are the same for PC and consoles players. Thanks to TOR-rob12 for confirming this for me. This guide focuses on the Ubisoft Connect PC platform challenges since I play the game on a PC and have this to use as a source.
Open the game’s page in Ubisoft Connect and navigate to Challenges. You can do this both in the client or while in-game via the Overlay feature (SHIFT+F2 on PC).
List of all Challenges in AC Valhalla
Below is a complete list of all available Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Challenges. I have listed them in the other of which I completed them. This is likely the way most of you will complete them too. It doesn’t matter which challenge you do first and which you leave for later, though.

Tips on how to complete the Challenges
In this segment of the guide we will take a closer look at some of the challenges. I’ll share some tips and suggestions on what you need to do, how to do it and where or when to help you complete some of the more interesting and tougher challenges.
Murdered by Words
Flyting is one of the mini-games available in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. It isn’t hard to understand and is an old version of today’s Rap Battles. You have to beat your opponent by insulting them in rhymes.
You can find Flyting challenges all over the maps of both Norway and England. There are a few tricks to winning, though. Manfred explains all the details of how to win Flyting games in AC Valhalla in his guide.
Tree of Life
To complete this one you need to arrive to England first. In your Settlement there will be a big tree right in the middle. You can customize it with different skins by interacting with the dragon-shaped book-stand in front of it. There are a number of skins you can get by playing the game or by purchasing Settlement Decorations packs from the Ubisoft Store.
The Mighty Warrior
I have a thorough guide to all Abilities in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you can check out to find out what they are, how they work and how to unlock them. In short – abilities can be unlocked by completing certain quests and by finding Books of Knowledge scattered in hidden secret places all over Norway and England.
Amunet’s Gift
As you explore the map of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla you will find all kinds of places and points of interest. Artifacts are initially displayed as white dots and when you approach them they change to a specific icon.
For this challenge you are looking for Roman Artifacts. They are roman masks usually and you find them in or around Roman ruins usually.
If you build the Museum in your Settlement, you will be able to hand in any artifacts you find and get a reward for that. Rewards are usually tattoos or cosmetics.
The Thousand Eyes
This quest will bring Reda to your settlement. Reda’s Shop is a wonderful place for rare and very powerful gear to appear alongside some nice cosmetic items.
Everything Reda offers comes from the Ubisoft Store and can be traded not for Helix Credits, like in that shop, but for an in-game currency called Opal.
Find out more in the guide: AC Valhalla: Reda’s Shop and how to get Opal Guide
Hörgr
Offering Altars are available in a number of places on the map. Their location is marked with a unique icon and they look like a giant stone sitting erect with some food and other remains around it.
Old-Fashioned Social Network
To complete this challenge you need to find a Mystery location called “Cairn”, where you will find a few stones you need to place on top of each other vertically to reach a certain height.
Manfred’s guide on how to find and solve Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will give you a great explanation of how to stack stones vertically to solve these puzzles and complete the challenge.
The Saxon Slayer
Monasteries are available only in England. You cannot complete this challenge before venturing that far into your main story quest. Monastery raids are marked with two red axes on your map. Be careful, though. Each region in England has its own Power Level recommendation and you should not raid monasteries that are in a much higher than your current level region. Don’t forget to loot everything for resources!
Jomsvikings Brotherhood
Jomsvikings are your companions during raids and other group-related content in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. They are generic NPCs that are only different in visual appearance from each other. From the launch of the game you cannot modify or upgrade them. You can choose a captain and pick his or her outfit after you build the barracks in your Settlement.
Your main Jomsviking can hire themselves out to other players. At docks and in big towns and cities there will be a random Viking waiting for you to hire them. Each one will set you back 100 Silver. To complete the Jomsviking Brotherhood you need to hire ten NPCs.
Mead Lovers
Would it be a Vikings video game if it didn’t have drinking and lots of it in it? One of the mini-games in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla demands that you compete against NPCs in a drinking contest. You can find these guys in every big city or town. They are marked on your map with two crossed horns icon.

The God’s Mark
While exploring England’s lands you will surely stumble upon Stonehenge and few other locations with erect stones. Somewhere around the middle of these compositions there is an Interactable spot. Click on it and follow the instructions.
We have a more detailed instructions on how to find and solve the Standing Stones Puzzles in AC Valhalla, check them out if you need a bit more help.
Eivor’s Saga
Note that this paragrarph contains very minor spoilers of how the story is structured in the game. No reveals of any kind, of course. But to give you a better idea of what and how much you have to complete, I have to mention some locations and such.
The story of the game is quite long. To get this challenge done you will need to complete the main quests all the way from Norway into England, finish all regions in England , then go back to Norway for one final epic mission. Note that there are a few stan-alone stories like the Asgard and Jotunheim story arcs that can be completed separately from the main story and at any point in time. There are a few quests after you complete the main story of the game mainly dealing with the Assassin’s Creed themed epilogue.
Power-Up
The Power-Up challenge requires you to find one of the mysteries known as “Fly Agaric”, eat some mushrooms and solve the puzzle that will spawn before you while you are in this trance from the mushrooms. These mysteries are marked with a unique icon on your map.
Again, we have a more in-depth coverage on the Fly-Agaric mini-game in the Mini-Games Guide. Take a look if you need some extra tips on how to solve them.
Odin is with us!
The Odin is with us! challenge is one that requires you to complete nearly the whole game to get it done. You have to defeat all fifteen Zealots from the Orders of the Ancients.
These Zealots are involved in some other stories and are also part of the journey to get the Thor’s Gear. You can find detailed information on where to find the zealots and how to defeat them in this linked guide. These are tough opponents, so be prepared. Some of them will also be a very high Power Level (300+).
The Definition of Insanity
To complete the Definition of Insanity challenge you need to find and defeat three special bosses in England. They are called Daughters of Lerion and are very high Level opponents.
The Daughters of Lerion drop pieces of Thor’s Armor Set. You can find more info on where to find and how to defeat them in this guide: How to get Thor’s Armor Set and Hammer Mjolnir in AC Valhalla. Note: getting Thor’s gear set is a rather long process, but if you are only after the Challenge and the Sisters, you don’t have to do everything else in the guide.
Market Inflation
Opal is the rarest and very valuable resource to… one merchant only. Reda’s Shop will arrive to your Settlement at a certain point in the story and will start offering you unique cosmetics and very powerful gear that can be purchased with Opal.
To collect Opal your best options are Reda’s Contracts, although you can find it in small quantities scattered all over the in-game world. I suggest you take a look at my AC Valhalla: Reda’s Shop and how to get Opal Guide.
Muninn’s Eye and Huginn’s Eye
These two challenges require you to fully explore England and Norway respectively. You have to visit all sync points (Fas Travel locations) in the game and this includes harbors from what can tell based on my own completion of the challenge (I had one missing harbor before I got it done).
This is a map of all harbors and Highpoints in England:
And here is one of Norway:
D20
D20 is one of the funniest challenges. There’s a mini-game called Orlog – a game of dice (but actually a game of way more than just dice). You can find NPCs willing to play against you in almost every settlement.
To complete the D20 challenge you need to win five Orlog matches. I can’t tell if that’s a fact, but my experience tells me that the lower Power Level regions offer also a lower level of challenge from the NPCs in towns that want to play Orlog with you. If you are after the challenge alone and not after the satisfaction of earning all of the Gods Favors tablets, I suggest you try your luck around the starter regions.
Here at VULKK.com we offer you an in-depth overview and guide on how to win at Orlog. It’s a simple game of luck on first glimpse to some, but it’s actually nearly as deep and complex strategy, similar to what Gwent was to The Witcher 3, if you have played that.
Stinky but Deadly
This is a challenge I have not yet completed myself. It’s an insanely boring grind fest of fishing. If you are a fan of fishing in video games or in the real life, you will probably enjoy this way more than I did.
Fishing is yet another mini-game in AC Valhalla. It’s part of a few story quests, but nothing major. To complete the Stinky but Deadly challenge you need to catch all of the listed items in the Fisher’s Hut in your Settlement. Of course, you have to build that building first.
When you complete all of this, you will get rewarded with a new weapon called Swordfish. This is actually where the title of this challenge comes from.
We have a guide on how to fish and what you get from it in AC Valhalla. Take a look. There are also a few tips in that article where and how to catch the rare fish required for this challenge.
That’s it for now! I hope you found this Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Challenges guide useful and helpful! If you have any more ideas, suggestions, tips or if you want to ask something, please leave a comment below.
