How to get Johnny's Iconic Armor Set in Cyberpunk 2077 Guide

How to get Johnny’s Clothes in Cyberpunk 2077

Vulkk by Vulkk|

This is a detailed guide showing you where and how to obtain all parts of Johnny Silverhand’s Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077!

This guide is up-to-date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3

Please note that with Update 2.0 CD Projekt RED removed stats and armor from almost all clothing pieces. The images showing the clothes in this guide are from before 2.0. The method of obtaining them has not changed, though!

Definition of Clothes, Armor and Outfits Sets in Cyberpunk 2077

The game doesn’t have armor sets with set bonuses like other traditional RPGs have. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Armor Sets are a great example of how armor sets work in such games.

Here in Cyberpunk 2077, you can still get a full set of clothing, but they will each serve their own purpose. There are six slots for clothes you can put on your character, but not all sets include items for all six slots or I have not found them yet at least.

  • Head
  • Face
  • Outer Torso
  • Inner Torso
  • Legs
  • Feet

There is also one additional outfit slot, which is labeled “special” and doesn’t really have an impact on your stats, but it does override all other clothing slots’ visuals. This is the Outfit Slot also known as Wardrobe. You can read my dedicated guide on how to use the Wardrobe feature in Cyberpunk 2077 and create custom outfits for your V.

Who is Johnny Silverhand in the Cyberpunk lore?
One of the most famous names in the Cyberpunk universe is that of the legend rockerboy and front-man of the band Samurai – Johnny Silverhand. He gets killed in 2023 by Adam Smasher and dies in a massive nuke that happens in the City Center, which he set up himself in an attempt to destroy the Arasaka Corporation’s HQ building. You will get to spend a lot of time with him in the game and learn pretty much all about his past, so I will not ruin your fun by revealing any more details.

When can you get the Johnny Silverhand Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077?
You can get any of these sets before or after you complete the main story line of the game. Each item is available in a different place/spot and some times they are gated behind a job (mission) you need to complete to obtain them, but all of this is described in the “Items Locations” section of the guide below.

When should you get the Johnny Silverhand Clothing Set?
As soon as possible. The items are unique and will not change their quality based on your level, so the sooner you go through the instructions below and obtain them, the better your visual style will be.

Each one of Johnny’s items arrives in Rare quality when you first acquire them and you will need to spec into Crafting to upgrade them into Legendary quality, which is what you would ultimately want for the EndGame and Expansions.

Note: All of these items are included in the massive Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary and Iconic Items Locations List and Locations Guide. You can find there more unique and fantastic-looking items for your taste and needs.

Johnny’s Aviators (Face slot)

Johnny Silverhand’s sun glasses are a reward for you from the “Chippin’ In” side mission with Rogue (becomes available in Act 2 of the game’s narrative). The mission is quite long and involves you doing several other things between first talking to Rogue and finally ending up in the Oil Fields near Johnny’s grave.

There is no way to miss the aviators if you play through the mission, so the real task here is for you to understand how to start this mission.

Johnny is a part of your adventures all the time, but you will actually meet Rogue during the main story of the game. She is the key to starting this side job.

Check out the Chippin’ In Side Job Walkthrough for more information. There are many other cool items you get from this chain of missions that spawn within Chippin’ In.

To start the mission, head to the Afterlife club and talk to Johnny and Rogue.

Johnny’s Samurai Jacket (Outer Torso)

This item is also given to you during the course of the Chippin’ In side job with Rogue and Johnny. It’s a replica of the original Samurai jacket, because the original doesn’t exist any more in this world. Rogue had it custom made.

Johnny's Tank Top

Johnny’s Tank Top (Inner Torso)

Johnny Silverhand’s inner torso tank top is another iconic clothing item available from the Chippin’ In side job.

Johnny’s Pants (Legs)

Johnny Silverhand’s Iconic pants are available as a free loot in the bedroom of Kerry’s apartment during the mission “Gig: Psychofan”.

Johnny's Pants

The “Gig: Psychofan” is given to you by Sebastian Padre Ibara when you approach the marked on the map below location in The Glen, in Heywood.

The Gig is locked behind a Street Cred requirement, but I did it after I had mine maxed already, so not sure how high it is. If you don’t have the Gig mission available in this spot, just keep leveling your Street Cred.

Johnny’s Shoes (Feet)

Johnny Silverhand’s iconic shoes are available in the same drawer you need to open for the item that is main objective of the mission “Gig: Family Heirlooms”.

Johnny's Shoes

The mission starts in Charter Hill, Westbrook. You will get a call from Rogue when you approach the location marked on the map below.

It is possible that the gig might not be available to you. If that is the case, level up your Street Cred and check the area again. I do not know the exact requirement for Street Cred Level, unfortunately.

Collecting all of Johnny Silverhand’s items will grant you a special achievement in Cyberpunk 2077 called “Breathtaking”. All of the items you need for this achievement are listed here in this guide.
