WandaVision has just ended and I am still in awe of that finale. I never suspected it would end this way. We saw the power of the Darkhold. The power of Agatha Harkness unleashed and Wanda still trying to deal with hers. Then we got the kids and dream Vision and White Vision for lack of better names. So much action jampacked in that epic season finale that I just have to write about.
White Vision
White Vision was, as expected, just as powerful and strong as the original Vision. Except that White Vision just didn’t have the personality or memories of the original. Westview Vision made sure that that was no longer the case as he unlocked the memories that were stored inside the android all along. It just needed that Vision touch.
So the White Vision has been a part of the Marvel Universe for ages. And he was assembled, just like in the TV show, by Vision’s old parts. But then again, Vision was actually assembled from the first Torch, Jim Hammond. He was an android but his creator later reimagined him into what was to become Vision.
White Vision in the comics was pretty evil, he was supposed to take down the Avengers from the inside out before regaining the original Vision’s memories with something that looks like the Vision of WandaVision did.
If the White Vision of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is good or evil remains to be seen. You would say good because of the way he fought alongside our heroes but never forget that computer data can degrade and corrupt over time. Who knows what will happen to him…

Wanda from WandaVision
The best part of the WandaVision TV show is that it is actually a soft reboot of the character. We saw her as an enhanced in Age of Ultron and all the Marvel movies she starred in ever since that movie. And then it turns out that she is actually a witch as foretold during the witch trials when Agatha was hung.
The way Marvel told the story actually makes way for Mutants because now we see where Wanda came from, how Sokovians experimented on her and how she became enhanced and then was turned into a witch.
With Wanda going off to her next adventure in the next Dr Strange movie, I can’t help but wonder what Wanda we will get to see considering the ending. Wanda got access to the Darkhold which is also known as the Book of the Damned, The Book of Sins, The Book of Spells and it is a book of unspeakable power.
We saw that her kids are also inside the Darkhold or it seemed that way anyway so this raises the following questions: Is Wanda going dark or will her character maintain the balance and walk a fine line between good and evil? Are her kids the ones that going to be the ones that are crucial in making that decision?
We still don’t know where the kids came from and more importantly what part of the Darkhold are they a part of?
All in all, I am very happy that they rebooted the Wanda character and also fleshed out her background a little more. We saw more about life in Sokovia before the Age of Ultron movie and we saw some of her norms and values when we looked into her past with Pietro and her parents. Obviously the sitcoms played a central role in Wanda’s youth and that was reflected in throughout the show.
Agatha Harkness
Long before she revealed herself, fans already pretty much figured out that Agnes was Agatha Harkness. She was in the show too much and was actually a pretty developed character. Ofcourse when she revealed herself, it was an epic moment. Because it really was Agatha all along trying to sabotage, frustrate and feed that darkness in Wanda.
I myself was very surprised that they picked Agatha Harkness. In the comics she is Wanda’s mentor and friend. In the show however it turns out that she was an evil witch who saved herself using the Darkhold and killed the witches who tried to burn her at the stake.
All she did was try to figure out how Wanda created Westview and then steal that power. Agatha All Along was the best reveal I find in recent TV history. Not was it comical, it was summarized and showed how Agatha manipulated events around Wanda. Like distracting her with fake Pietro from the Fox X-men Universe as the Marvel Cinematic Universe one died in Age of Ultron.
The built up of the character was amazing. We saw her nosying around from day one and never a clue that gave away that she could be behind the evil that struck Westview at times or how she made Wanda’s life miserable. And this just is great television. This is what seperates the classic TV shows from an iconic TV show. And that’s what WandaVision is; an iconic TV show.
Will we ever see Agatha again? Nobody ever dies in the comics so my guess is that we will. Either as a friend or as a foe. In the comics she is a friend so I am hoping that the writers will redeem her character and that she will return.
Monica Rambeau got her powers in WandaVision
When I saw Monica Rambeau back in Captain Marvel, I already knew that we were going to see her one day. And now so many years later she made her debut as an adult. And she is just as tough as her mother. Turns out that Monica is an Agent of SWORD and was sent to investigate WandaVision’s Westview. She went through the magical barrier a couple of times and that is how she gained her powers. Although she is not aware that she has them, I am quite happy with her origin story.
In the comics Rambeau has had several different codenames, most notably: Captain Marvel and Photon. And that last name is something we should definitely pay attention to. She will honor her mother’s name by taking on the name Photon, I am sure.
Her new powers haven’t been fully shown yet but if I am not mistaken she will be able to see several different types of radiation and become that. For instance she can fly at the speed of light, detect infra red or turn into gammarays as well as cosmic radiation. It is going to be interesting on the CGI part when they portray her powers! As it stands, Rambeau will go to space to fight alongside Nick Fury and Captain Marvel. Can’t wait to see how that pans out.
Will WandaVision get a season 2?
With WandaVision ended for now, it is currently uncertain if the series will get a second season. Most fans hope it will but I am actually not sure if the show should get a second season. Why? Simply because this show was so amazing and they have set the bar so incredibly high that it is impossible that top that.
Kevin Feige, creator of the Marvel Universe, recently also weighed in on the chances of the show being renewed. Speaking at TCA, the Marvel studio head said he has no current plans to greenlight WandaVision season 2.
Besides, there are so many good TV shows coming from the Marvel studios that I am wondering if we really do need a second season of WandaVision. For instance, this Friday we will see the premier of Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
A buddy cop kind of TV series that will keep us entertained as well. And then there are several other shows that we have to look forward to such as Hawkeye , She-Hulk and Moon Knight.
Do we even want to have a WandaVision season 2 after watching ALL these shows? I am not sure I do. There are many more aspects of the Marvel Universe that can be explored without having to hang on to one single series. But that’s just me, I am sure that there are many other people who think differently and if you are one of them then let me know by dropping a comment!
