Learn how to find all Tombs of the Fallen locations, explore them and grab the treasures hidden in each one of them!

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla 1.4.0 brought four new dungeons filled with puzzles and secrets. With Update 1.6.1 Ubisoft added two more.

What are the Tombs of the Fallen

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Update 1.4.0 was released earlier today on November 9. It brought a free content update for all players, who own the base game – Tombs of the Fallen. You can explore them by solving puzzles and find a piece of new armor as a reward at the end of each one, among many other valuable rewards.

The Tombs of the Fallen are new hidden dungeons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla update 1.4.0. Scattered in various places in England they offer tons of lore, parkour, puzzles and a pieces of a brand new armor set. With the release of update 1.4.0, there are three tombs (not counting the starting one) available.

Each one of the Tombs of the Fallen contains several puzzles and at the end of it, you will find one or two chests containing a piece of gear from the new Fallen Hero armor set.

The puzzles are not too complicated and there are no enemies in the tombs. There might be an occasional snake hidden in a vase, but you don’t have to break everything on your path to eventually stumble on any of these rare occasions.

How to get started with the first Tomb – Manius’s Sanctum

The first tomb that the game will give you to explore is just south of your settlement Ravensthorpe. It is called Manius’ Sanctum and its entrance lies on the cliff on the other banks of the Nene River, which runs south from your settlement.

The main requirement to get access to the intro mission and the tombs is to have landed in England and have built your settlement. There are no other level or previously completed quests requirements.

As soon as you log in to the game after you have patched to at least 1.4.0 or higher patch, you will see a welcome screen letting you know of the addition of this new free content.

Head to the western corner of Ravensthorpe’s docks and talk to the few settlers there to start the intro for the Tombs of the Fallen. The four NPCs at the docks are currently staring at a strange phenomenon – all animals are acting strangely in the area.

How to get started with the first Tomb

A short cinematic will play in which you will order your Raven to scout the area. Through the eyes of the bird, you will be able to see the magically hidden entrance to the first tomb.

Entrance to the first tomb - Manius's Sanctum

Here is the exact location of Manius’s Sanctum:

When you go to the marked spot, look for a big rune carved in the rock. To spot it from further away use your Sight and it will glow in a brighter blue-ish color.

A very cool animation will play out as the entrance is uncovered.

As you enter into the tunnel, you will receive a notification on your screen and the entrance to the tomb has been marked on your map.

From this point on it is all about your skills to solve typical Assassin’s Creed Valhalla puzzles by playing parkour, shooting at breakable walls, carrying or pushing objects and so on.

How to find the next three Tombs of the Fallen

There are four tombs in total available with the release of Update 1.4.0. The other three’s locations are hidden, but while you explore Manius’s Sanctum, you will find clues to help you pinpoint the exact locations of the other three tombs.

There is a giant map at the end of Manius’s Sanctum. On it, there are four pillars sticking out from the stone marking the locations of the other three Tombs of the Fallen.

Tips and Tricks to help you solve the puzzles quicker

The Tombs of the Fallen feature similar puzzles in terms of mechanics. They all have some kind of traversing, jumping, parkour and carrying or pushing objects.

In the next few paragraphs I want to give you a few helpful tips if you need some help, but don’t want to follow my step-by-step guides available for each Tomb.

Discovering the Tombs of the Fallen may not be very easy, but this is the moment for your bird to shine brighter than ever before!

If you have been wondering why the bird exists in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, well wonder no more. It finally has a clear and useful purpose! To show you the locations of the Tombs of the Fallen!

Using the Bird to mark the Tombs of the Fallen

The Tombs are clearly visible when you fly with the bird and you can mark these locations that will then show up as landscape markers on your map to follow.

Each one of the three tombs past the first one has the same requirements to get to the chest with the armor piece – place four objects in four dedicated slots. Usually, these objects are heavy obelisk-like and are movable or they are small items you can carry and toss and throw around.

You will find the objects you can carry around in locations marked with this square and lever next to it:

How to find the objects you need to carry to the spots in Tombs of the Fallen

You can also pull the lever as many times as you want to spawn a new object if you lose or break yours. Be careful when and how you toss or throw these. Aim precisely. These objects fit into the circle-shaped markers.

The heavy movable objects look like this:

You need to find a way to push and pull these to the square-shaped markers. There are other more traditional movable objects like obelisks and boulders, but they serve their usual purpose – to allow you to traverse from one spot to another.

At the end of each Tomb, you will see a short cinematic that reveals whose tomb this is and tells the legend of that character. You also get to open one or two of the classic chests containing an armor piece inside – all five parts of the Fallen Hero armor set are available in the tombs.

Each one of the five Tombs of the Fallen has a unique item available in the areas after the chest with the armor. These items are “Tomb Artifacts” and once you obtain them, you can see them in the Quest Items section in your Inventory.

AC Valhalla Tomb Artifacts

In my individual guides to each one of the tombs I have instructions on how to find these Artifacts.

What to do with the Tomb Artifacts

When you collect all five of the Tomb Artifacts, you can go back to the first Tomb, south from Ravensthorpe, the Manius’ Sanctum. If you remember, in it, on the floor in the big room with the stone map, there is a giant round door that is locked with an ancient and mysterious mechanism.

You can now use the five Tomb Artifacts to unlock that door and explore Eden Station. It’s a giant collection of puzzles related to light beams and other tricks you have to perform.

At the very end of Eden Station, you will finally unlock an incredibly powerful new short sword – The Blazing Sword.

That concludes my guide and tips on how to start and complete the Tombs of the Fallen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
