Star Wars toys and collectibles are amongst the most popular in the world. Figures, statues, lightsabers, helmets, ships, you name it. In recent years we have been getting new and exciting releases for fans of different Star Wars projects; comics, movies, videogames & books. This time, via livestream, Hasbro announced the upcoming releases for their Star Wars lineup. Here’s what they showed us.
Figrin D’an, the band leader of Figrin D’an and the Modal Nodes is the first figure showcased even though he was revealed a day prior to this livestream. This male Bith and his band has given us hours of fun moments with his catchy and memorable music. This could be a good moment to consider recreating a cantina scene! It comes with his iconic Kloo Horn, a Fizzz (Dorenian Beshniquel) and Fanfar.
The first reveal on this live stream was Saw Gerrera, the leader of the Onderon Rebels. The accessories included are his breathing apparatus, walking staff and blaster pistol. As you can see there are many details and deco on this figure, the scars on the face or the sandal are examples of it. Saw Gerrera is the first Deluxe in the Rogue lineup. Pre-orders starting on April 7th (US, UK & Canada) Available on shelves in winter 2022.
Gaming Greats line is a series that brings back characters from beloved Star Wars videogames. To join the previously announced RC-1140 “Fixer”, comes Delta Squad sniper expert RC-1207 “Sev”. His unusual red paint job will make him stand out from the rest of your collection. Sev comes with his favorite weapon, the sniper rifle attachment for the DC-17m. Pre-orders starting on April 7th (US,UK, Canada) Available on shelves in Winter 2022.
Gaming Greats has been brought to the Vintage Collection. From Star Wars: The Old Republic, the badass and deadly Shae Vizla. Her accessories are flamethrowers, blaster pistols, and her Mandalorian helmet. I’m very happy SWTOR fans like myself are getting some love from Hasbro!
From Battlefront II, a legendary unlockable aspect for Lando Calrissian makes its debut on the Gaming Greats/Vintage Collection series. With his unmistakable yellow shirt and cape, Lando’s young version brings a lot of style to the Gaming Greats/Vintage Collection. Both, Lando and Shae Vizla are available for pre-order starting April 7th and will arrive at your local stores in Fall 2022.
Also for the Vintage Collection, Arc Trooper CT-5597 aka Jesse joins the lineup with his Clone Wars season 7 armor. This is the last re-release of the trooper figures from the 501st legion ARC Trooper three-pack convention exclusive (2020). His removable accessories include a blaster rifle, blaster pistols and helmet.
Under the command of Bo-Katan, the Mandalorian Death Watch Airborn Troopers fought to regain control of Mandalore in the last season of The Clone Wars. Weathered armor, the Death Watch emblem & the classic dark-blue color make this a perfect figure for your Mandalorian collection. It comes with two blaster pistols, a carbine rifle and a jetpack.
Another Mandalorian character from the Clone Wars, the Mandalorian Super Commando Captain. His armor was inspired by his master, Darth Maul. The red paint is perfect to establish a difference from his Death Watch counterpart. It comes with a carbine rifle and two blaster pistols. All of these 3 figures will be on shelves in Spring 2023. Preorders start April 7th, 2022 (US, UK, Canada).
The last Vintage Collection release is a trooper pack. As seen in Rogue One & The Mandalorian, the Imperial Deathtrooper troop-builder pack will help you recreate your favorite scene. The pack includes one captain and three basic troopers, as well as 6 different weapons. Available for preorder April 7th,2022 (US,UK,Canada, Germany). Coming out Fall, 2022.
A new prototype edition Chewbacca joins the roster of retro figures. These figures are distinguished by the bright colors on them. The prototype edition Chewbacca is produced in the same colors as the previous figures; purple, red, orange, blue, yellow and green randomly assigned to legs, arms, body and Chewie’s Bowcaster. A total of six different variants will be released. Preorder starts April 7th, available on shelves Summer 2022.
Comics are a very important part of Star Wars; this one is a reinterpretation of what would happen if Darth Vader redeemed himself. Infinities Darth Vader displays a stunning white suit and his signature red lightsaber makes a perfect contrast.
The head of the Rebel Alliance, Princess Leia Organa now wears an outfit that matches her brave & heroic side. Equipped with her E-11 blaster and blaster pistol, Leia is suited to fight on the frontlines against the Empire.
Sergeant Kreel, one of the most memorable Stormtroopers ever. Fighting Luke Skywalker in a lightsaber battle isn’t a simple feat, despite having his lightsaber destroyed in the duel, this gained him the love of many fans. A unique pauldron, a green lightsaber and the E-11 blaster rifle are the accessories included. Darth Vader, Princess Leia Organa and Sergeant Kreel are available for preorder April 7th,2022 (US, UK, Canada), the release date is Spring, 2023.
Finally, a Black Series helmet that will make a fine addition to your collection. Roleplay as a New Republic X-Wing pilot with the Trapper Wolf electronic helmet. This helmet has a very different vibe from the rest of the helmets, green paint with yellow stripes, the Wolfpack emblem on the sides is unmistakable. Dave Filoni plays him in The Mandalorian so it makes sense to have the emblem of the legion that served under Plo Koon, Filoni’s favorite character. Available for preorder April 7th,2022 (US, UK, Canada) with the release date being Spring of 2023.
Which of these figures are you getting? I’m definitely getting my hands on the Delta Squad figures. Are you waiting for a specific figure, helmet or lightsaber? If so, which one?
