This weekend we got exciting news about two new Star Wars LEGO sets, the classic AT-TE walker from the Galactic Republic and Cad Bane’s ship, The Justifier.
Star Wars LEGO sets are some of the most collected products by Star Wars fans. When the partnership started more than 20 years ago, the sets were very simple compared to today’s standards. Now, we have all types of ships, vehicles, battle scenarios, droids, helmets, and the top-of-the-line Ultimate Collector Series.
AT-TE Walker LEGO Set preview
The All Terrain Tactical Enforcer, commonly known as AT-TE is a versatile ground walker used by the Galactic Republic throughout the Clone Wars. Armed with laser cannon turrets and a heavy projectile mass-driver cannon mounted on top of it, the AT-TE became one of the main vehicles used in the conflict with the CIS.
The AT-TE is seen in almost every Clone Wars battle: Geonosis, Utapau, Ryloth, Umbara, and many more. Knowing the importance of this vehicle, LEGO has released a new set of the AT-TE.
This set comes with 5 LEGO minifigures; Commander Cody, three 212th Clone Troopers, and a 212th Clone Gunner. Of course, these clones need to fight something, which is why 3 Battle Droid figures and a buildable Dwarf Spider Droid are also included.
Unlike the Ultimate Collector Series sets, this is made to play and recreate your favorite battles. A 360-degree-rotating heavy blaster cannon with two stud shooters, 6 blaster cannons, posable legs, a detachable cockpit, two detailed cabins, and two thermal detonator elements are features that will make your playtime a lot more enjoyable.
With its 1082 pieces, this LEGO set will be a super fun experience for all kids and adults to build. When I was a small kid, step-by-step illustrated instructions were the only thing available, but the app-assisted building is certainly going to improve the experience even for the inexperienced fan.
The AT-TE Walker will be available on August 1, 2022, for $139.99 USD. You can pre-order it here.
Cad Bane’s The Justifier LEGO Set Preview
Cad Bane is one of the best bounty hunters of its era. He’s discrete, lethal, and extremely effective. He’s a character that was introduced in the Clone Wars animated show, the feats he pulled off in that series earned him an unmatchable reputation. Crime Lords, politicians, and Jedi, everyone knew who’s Cad Bane.
This is why the fan base was so amused to see him return in The Bad Batch and The Book of Boba Fett. Even if his appearances were brief, it was such a joy to see him again after many years. I’d have never guessed that he would get his own LEGO set!
Originally, The Justifier was created for an unfinished episode of The Clone Wars prior to the series cancellation, but it debuted in The Bad Batch. This is why it’s more surprising to me that this ship is being released as a LEGO set.
The Justifier LEGO set is made of 1022 pieces and includes 4 LEGO minifigures; Cad Bane, Omega, Hunter, and Fennec Shand plus a Todo 360 droid figure.
The ship features an easy-access cockpit, two thermal detonator elements, a jail cell for Omega, spring-loaded shooters, and even spare ammo!
Just like the AT-TE, The Justifier set is built to play and spend hours recreating your favorite scenes or making new ones. You can fold up the rear engine for flight mode and fold down to deploy the landing gear.
The Justifier will also be available on August 1, 2022, for $169.99 USD. Pre-order it here.
I consider us Star Wars fans to be very lucky because we’re able to get merchandise from almost any important moment of the franchise. And that isn’t limited to movies, at least not anymore. Videogames and animated series are also getting the love they deserve and The Justifier is the best proof of it. I can’t wait to see what else we get in the upcoming months!
