How to get the Legendary Media Set in Cyberpunk 2077

Vulkk by Vulkk|

This is a detailed guide showing you where and how to obtain all parts of the Legendary Media Set in Cyberpunk 2077.

This guide is up-to-date for Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.3

Please note that with Update 2.0 CD Projekt RED removed stats and armor from almost all clothing pieces. The images showing the clothes in this guide are from before 2.0. The method of obtaining them has not changed, though!

Clothes, Armor and Outfit Sets in Cyberpunk 2077

The game doesn’t have armor sets with set bonuses like other traditional RPGs have. work in such games. Here in Cyberpunk, you can still get a full set of clothing, but they will each serve their own purpose while at least looking super cool put together as a whole outfit. There are six slots for clothes you can put on your character.

  • Head
  • Face
  • Outer Torso
  • Inner Torso
  • Legs
  • Feet

There is also one additional outfit slot in your inventory. Wearing outfits doesn’t really have an impact on your stats, but it does override all other clothing slots’ visuals.

Cyberpunk 2077 patch 1.6 added the Wardrobe feature, which allows you to wear outfits and look the way you want, while still getting the best stats from the (often) ugly clothes you equip in your gear slots.

Who are the Media in the Cyberpunk universe?
The original universe of Cyberpunk is designed as world from the future, but as seen from the eyes of the people from the 80s. In the Cyberpunk 2077 game the media are more or less what our real-life media today is. Reporters, who often serve someone rather than their audience. Representatives of the Media can be anything from desperate, attention-loving drama-seekers to demagogues. It doesn’t matter what they report, as long as they can make the reader, listener, viewer believe them, they keep their jobs, and often their lives.

When can you get the Media Clothing Set in Cyberpunk 2077?
You can get these before or after you complete the main storyline of the game. Each item is available in a different place/spot and sometimes they are gated behind a job (mission) you need to complete to obtain them. The relationship between the item and the job that you need to finish to make it spawn may not be direct, but the items may not spawn in the designated location until you complete a certain job. All items from this set are located in the free world and are not directly related to a job. The last two pieces of the Media set were added to the game with Patches 1.52 and 1.6 – nearly two years after the game’s release.

Media Set Overview

Below you can take a closer look at the visual style of the Media set in Cyberpunk 2077. Thanks to Miss Luckii for sharing with us the images of the female V outfit.

How to get the Media Armor Set

You can get different visual types of clothes based on your gender. This applies mostly to the legs, shoes and inner torso items, but not only. The item will have the same name, but the last word would be different sometimes based on that what gender your V is.

There is a chance sometimes some items to spawn as Epic, not as Legendary. Usually, that happens to items that are located on the bodies of enemies you have just defeated or in containers and boxes. Items found on bodies of NPCs that you did not defeat yourself, but found like this, will always spawn as Legendary.

Note: All of these items are included in the massive Cyberpunk 2077 Legendary and Iconic Items Locations List and Locations Guide. You can find there more unique and fantastic-looking items for your taste and needs.

Armored Media Occuset with Camera (Face)

This legendary face clothing item is available for loot inside an abandoned RV.

The RV is parked near the road and the container with the item is on your left as you enter. This location is south of Pacifica in the Badlands. The nearest fast travel terminal is the Regional Airport to the northeast.
Thanks to emrwinnnna for this location.

Laminate-Armor Media Ballistic Vest (Outer Torso)

This item was added to the game with Patch 1.52, long after Cyberpunk 2077 was released. You can find it in Japantown, Westbrook, near the Crescent and Broad fast travel terminal.

The image below shows the location of the terminal, which is a starting point, because showing the item’s location on the map might be misleading for some of you.

As you face the terminal, turn right and cross the street, then cross the street on the right again. Take a right turn again and enter the alley.

Climb the stairs at the end of the alley.

Anti-Piercing Tactical Media Cargo Pants (Legs)

If you don’t have a double jump, you can easily climb up using the umbrellas in front of the restaurant.

How to jump onto the roof

The body is on the top. It contains the pants as well as the shoes.

Note that this is a new location after Update 1.6. Or at least we were able to find the pants in two different locations before this patch with one of them still yielding the item if you go there. I have listed it below if you want to check it out.

A second location is available for the pants in Charter Hill, Westbrook.

Lightweight Hardened-Rubber Media Steel-Toes (shoes)

The shoes is the final item that completes the media set. This item was added to the game with the release of Update 1.6 and you can find it at the same location as the media pants. If you have been following the guide, you already have this item, but if you skipped the previous steps, here is the information to help you find the Lightweight Hardened-Rubber Media Steel-Toes.

The Lightweight Hardened-Rubber Media Steel-Toes is on the tool of a fast-food restaurant chain, this one is located in Charter Hill, Westbrook. Below is the path from Longshore South fast travel terminal. It’s just two crossroads away from there.

If you start from the Lele Park fast travel terminal, head to your left and cross the street. The restaurant is right behind the corner.

Climb up with a double jump or by using the umbrellas and you will find the remains of a person with the two legendary media items on it.
