This guide will show you what to do and where to go to obtain the two new gear sets for level 7 and level `11 in The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update, available to all players!
The Witcher 3 just got a massive Next Gen update that comes with new content, enhanced visuals and more. Some would assume that the updates would stop for a decent period of time, but that’s not the case.
A few weeks ago, CD PROJEK TRED announced that Korean and Simplified Chinese voiceovers were coming with the Next-Gen update. To commemorate this event, they released the Thousand Flowers and White Tiger of the West gear sets, inspired by Korea and China’s traditions respectively.
There’s a reason why it can be tricky to get them both but don’t worry, I’ll explain what you have to do and how.
The White Tiger to the West is a 100% free gear set containing four armor pieces and two katana swords. You can simply pick it up as described below. To get the Thousand Flowers gear set, which also contains four armor pieces and two swords, you have to sign up on GOG.
How to Sign up on GOG
In order to get the Thousand Flowers armor set, you have to sign up on GOG.com. This is a requirement to get the White Tiger of the West armor and katanas. It is the only way.

With any version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in your library, simply Launch the game via GOG GALAXY 2.0 and start playing.

After installing the game, log in to your REDlauncher account.
Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5
From the main menu of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt open MY REWARDS and log in to your account. For GWENT-associated rewards, make sure to use the same account you use to play GWENT on PC or mobile. You can only register to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt MY REWARDS with a single GOG.COM account once.
Once you do this you can log into the game. On the My Rewards page, available from the main in-game menu (before you start playing a save), you can check to see and confirm that the Thousand Flowers set is added to your account.
Where to find the two new Gear Sets
Open your inventory, you’ll notice that there’s a letter from Yennefer. It’s located in the “Other” tab in your Inventory.
As the instructions state, you have to travel to the Royal Palace in Vizima. You can access this place as part of the story very early on. Right after you complete the main quest in White Orchard.
You can pick up the contents of the chest at any point later on. Even if you load up an old save from before the Next-Gen, the chest will be there and the gear sets will be waiting for you. There is nothing you can do in the game to prevent you from obtaining these sets if you followed the instructions above about signing up to GOG as per CDPR’s instructions.
When you get into the Palace, from the Sign Post take a left and follow the path to the room in the west end.
When you enter the room, there’s going to be a fireplace, walk past it and turn right. Walk a few more steps and you’ll see a chest below the window on the left-hand side. It contains both armor sets and weapons. If you don’t sign to GOG.com you’ll only find the White Tiger of the West armor set.
Unlike the Witcher armor sets, you can’t upgrade them. However, these sets are very good options for you to use at lower levels. Great filler between your starter gear and and the first real Witcher sets you can get later on.
Thousand Flowers Gear set overview
The Thousand Flowers gear requires Level 7. It is a Medium Armor Set. The Steel Sword provides bonuses to Armor Piercing and Aard Sign Intensity. The Silver Sword boosts Igni. This armor set is actually inspired by Dol Blathanna armor designs, according to the Witcher lore.
White Tiger of the West Gear set overview
The White Tiger of the West is a medium armor set for a level 11 character (or higher). The Nine-Tailed Vixen Steel and Silver Swords boost Crit Chance and Bleeding. They look like Katanas.
