This guide will show you how to start the Scavenging Hunt quest for the Enhanced Wolven Gear from the Wolf School witcher set in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt next-gen update, where to find and obtain all the diagrams and the requirements to craft the armor and weapons!

What is the Enhanced Wolven Gear and who is it for
The Enhanced Wolven witcher set is for level 21 and is an upgrade to the basic Wolven witcher gear, which is for level 14. It’s a medium armor set that boosts Resistances, Experience, and Adrenaline Points Gain.
You need to craft the Basic weapons first as they are part of the requirements to craft the Enhanced version. More on that in the Crafting Segment later in this guide.
How to start the Scavenging Hunt quest for the Enhanced Wolven witcher set
You can purchase the two map fragments from two different merchants. These will start the following Scavenger Hunt quests:
- Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear Upgrade Diagrams – Part 1
- Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear Upgrade Diagrams – Part 2
The first one is the armorer in Hierarch Square. Talk to him and collect the Witcher’s notes.
The second one is the Blacksmith located in LindenVale. Collect the Witcher’s notes from him.
The Enhanced Wolven set requires level 21 to wear. You can start this quest as soon as you hit level 21, there are very few enemies in the diagram’s locations so you can get every diagram really quickly. You could obtain them at a lower level as well, but you will not be able to wear the gear.

Where to find the Diagrams
There are six diagrams of the Enhanced Wolven Wolf School gear. They’re distributed between Kaer Morhen, Novigrad, and Velen. The order in which you get the diagrams doesn’t matter. Finding all six will auto-complete the Scavenger Hunt quests related to them.
Enhanced Wolven Steel Sword Diagram Location
Go to the Ruined Watchtower, which is located North of Kaer Morhen. If you’ve been here before you can use quick travel.
Find the corner of the ruins, you can get there from the outside of the building.
Turn right, you’ll see two chests.
The one that’s closest to you contains the Enhanced Wolven Steel Sword Diagram.
Enhanced Wolven Silver Sword Diagram Location
Go to Crow’s Perch. Head to the garden where the Bloody Baron spends his time.
There’s a dwell there, you may have used it to get to Castle Village in Crow’s Perch the very first time. Use the ladder and go in.
Stick to the left side of the wall and go all the way down.
Be careful not to fall.
The chest is located near the stalagmites, it’s not as visible as other chests.
The Enhanced Wolven Silver Sword is inside.
Enhanced Wolven Armor Diagram Location
Go to the small island that it’s located Southwest of the Fyke Isle (Velen)
The island is very small and has big ruins on it, you can’t miss it. There are five level 4 Drowners.
After you dispatched the Drowners, go to the East side of the island. There’s a big wall that’s partially underwater, go past it to find the chest that contains the diagram.
Loot it to get the Enhanced Wolven Armor Diagram.
Enhanced Wolven Gauntlets Diagram Location
Quick Travel to Kaer Morhen, head to the Grotto located South.
Just follow the road and you won’t have any problems finding it.
Once you’re inside, head right.
Stick to the left of the wall, and climb the ledge.
Head left, and you’ll see vegetation covering a good portion of the floor. The chest is located next to it.
Open the chest and collect the Enhanced Wolven Gauntlets Diagram.
Enhanced Wolven Trousers Diagram Location
Go Northeast of Lakeside Hut, there’s a small island there.
Position yourself looking at the mountain, right in the middle.
The chest is just a few steps ahead. You don’t need to dive, just walk toward it. Loot the chest to get the Enhanced Wolven Trousers Diagram
Enhanced Wolven Boots Diagram Location
Go Northeast from Toderas where you’ll find a cave, go inside.
After a few meters, you’ll have to decide which way to go, head right.
Then pick the left tunnel.
Stick to the left side of the wall and you’ll find the chest that contains the diagram.
Open it to acquire the Enhanced Wolven Boots Diagram
How to Craft the Armor and Weapons
This is the second Tier of the Wolf School Gear, you don’t need any rare or special things to craft it. Visit any Journeyman Blacksmith to craft the swords and a Journeyman Armorer to get the armor set.
Crafting Materials Requirements
Most of the materials are relatively easy to get. You can purchase them from the merchants that you visit to craft the gear. Remember that you can also dismantle things to get materials. Here are three rare ones for this tier:
Dark Steel Plate
Can be looted, purchased, or crafted from Dark Steel Ingots. You can dismantle some gear pieces.
Monster Feather
Crafting component that can be obtained from some winged monsters or by dismantling things like Harpy Egg, Griffin’s Egg, and Ernyia Eye.
Dark Iron Ore
Can be purchased from Armorers and other craftsmen and merchants. You can also craft it yourself from Dark Steel Ingots.
Where to find an Armorer and Blacksmith
It doesn’t matter which NPCs you visit to craft the items, but if you are not sure, I will mention two easily accessible and already available to you from your previous journeys on The Continent.
The Journeyman Armorer’s shop in Novigrad is on the western side of Hierarch Square. The Journeyman Blacksmith in Novigrad can make both swords for you. He is on the northern side of the open market area. This is just west and south of Hierarch Square.
Bonus tip: If you want to be ready for later, you can complete the secondary quests to unlock the Master Armorer Yoana at Crow’s Perch and Master Blacksmith Hattori in Novigrad. Linked above are the walkthrough guides on how to unlock both of them.
Enhanced Wolven Gear Set Stats
The Enhanced Edition of the Wolf witcher gear is an improvement in any aspect compared to the previous tier. You get an additional rune slow on the Armor and one rune slot on the Trousers.
How to get the Legendary Version of the Enhanced Wolven Set
The Legendary Wolf School Wolven witcher gear set is available in New Game Plus (NG+) in The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. The Scavenging Quest and all diagrams are located in the exact same places as in the normal game.
