This guide will show you how to pick up the Rumor optional objective to Investigate the Roller Mine Factory on Koboh in Jedi Survivor, how to access it, and how to complete the objective!

First, what are Rumors in Star Wars Jedi Survivor? Rumors are optional objectives you can pick up that show you interesting areas you may want to visit. Sometimes they are quick and easy, other times the Rumors are like a full-scale mission and often involve solving a Puzzle. You can visit the areas and complete these Rumor objectives without talking to an NPC to start them, but why miss out on an additional conversation?

How to pick up the Rumor “Investigate the Roller Mine Factory”

On Koboh, in the Rambler’s Reach Outpost, right outside the Cantina, you will find a woman sitting on a metal container under a tent. She is right next to the door from where you return to the town after completing the Chamber of Duality.

Talk to this Prospector and she will reveal to you a bit of personal story along with a recommendation to Investigate the Roller Mine Factory, located not far from the Outpost.

The Prospector will give you directions to look for a building just off the path to Dredge Canyon. As usual, you can go on your own to the location and explore without talking to the NPC.

How to enter the Roller Mine Factory

There are two ways to enter the Roller Mine Factory. One is very easy and quick, but may not happen the way you want it (the droid throwing a grenade) and the other is what is likely the intended way (through the roof). You will find explanations of both below.

The Droid’s Grenade blowing up the door

Go to the Hunter’s Quarry in the Rambler’s Reach region on Koboh. To the right of the giant hangar door, guarded by droids, who may or may not be engaged in a fight with the local fauna, you will see a metal staircase leading to a door.

This door is blocked and you can’t enter through it. There are a couple of Collectibles in front of it, though, if you want to pick them up while you are in the area.

Two droids also guard that door. One of them will immediately drop a grenade as soon as you engage them.

Side door

This grenade will blow up the door wide open so you can enter the Roller Mine Factory.

Drop in from the roof (Intended way to enter)

If the droids do not drop a grenade, the factory can also be accessed by taking the side path up the ramp to the right.

This has you wall run to a grabbable ledge, before shimmying along it to the left and leaping to another ledge before doing it again to a set of vines.

From these vines, you’ll be able to drop down to an area below. Make your way over to the roof of the factory from here, and you’ll see a hole in the roof. This drops you into the factory safely.

Roller Mine Factory Walkthrough

After you get inside, BD-1 will prompt you to scan an object on the right side. It is the Databank “A Mechanical Touch” entry.

In the round room, there are two more Collectibles. The Databank entry for “A Gift Revoked” is on the table on the right. On the left table, you will find a Priorite Shard, which you can take to the vendor in the outpost.

On the left is a console that BD-1 can use to spawn a Roller Mine droid. You have already been through the Tar Pits on Koboh, you know what to do with the Roller Mines.

As soon as it spawns, make it follow you back outside. At the bottom of the stairs, turn left and you will see a blocked door. Force Pull and Force Push the Roller Mine droid into that door to open it.

Roller Mine Factory Blocked Door with Treasure

If you entered the Factory through the roof, you’ll need to use a Roller Mine to open the exit of the factory.

Inside this small room is a Force Essence. This is the reason you came to the Roller Mine Factory. Picking up this Force Essence will increase your Maximum Force and also complete the Rumor “Investigate the Roller Mine Factory”.
