What Force Essences do in Jedi Survivor
While on his adventures, Cal Kestis can interact with certain light blue flashing objects that will yield a permanent increase to his Force Power meter. The flashing objects are called Force Essences and each can only be acquired once per playthrough.

Coruscant Force Essence Upgrade Location
This section will show you where you can find Force Essences on Coruscant.
Undercity Meats Freezer Room
In the freezer past the Purge Trooper near the Undercity Meats Meditation Point, you’ll find a Force Essence to the left of the frozen meat slabs.
Green Barrier in Undercity Meats
There is another Force essence on Coruscant. It is in the Freight Handling Depot, Undercity Industry zone.
To access this one, you need to first unlock the ability to pass through green barriers. By that time, you will already have Merrin by your side and be able to return to Coruscant to collect any items you have missed during the tutorial mission.
From the Freight Handling Depot Meditation Point, turn back and drop down to the lower level. Go through the door and into the area with the automated freight crane.
Grapple onto one of the moving boxes and when it passes near the green barrier, jump off and slide through it. The Force Essence is at the end of an L-shaped corridor.
Koboh Force Essence Upgrade Locations
The following Force Essence locations are found on the planet Koboh.
Derelict Dam
Go near the workbench where you’ll find a destructible wall. Lure a roller miner to the wall, drop it down to the lower level then toss it at the wall. At the end of the path is a rope you can climb. Follow the trail and find the Force Essence near the lift.
Winding Ravine
You can find this Force Essence up a ledge after moving some metal boxes into place. To learn more about this Force Essence, check out our guide on how to Find the Gorge’s Secret (Koboh Rumor).
Devastated Settlement
In the far corner of the devastated settlement, you’ll find some battle droids near an orb amplifier. Go inside the ruins and jump across the platforms to reach the Force Essence.
Diagnostics Corridor
Get into the spinning chamber with the two MagnaGuards. Defeat them and activate the chamber with BD-1’s Electro-Dart. Defeat the group of raiders and activate the chamber again. Defeat the next group of raiders and bring a balloon outside where it’s too bright to see clearly. There’s a balloon spawner on the right wall close to where the Bedlam Smasher was.
Hook onto the balloon you placed outside with your ascension cable and jump to another balloon then go through a green barrier. Jump dash to the platform with the Skill Point Essence.
Jedha Force Essence Upgrade Locations
The following Force Essence locations are found on the planet Jedha.
Halls of Ranvell
In the large room with the red light below, there’s a wall running segment that leads to a platform up or down. Wall run to the lower platform to enter a tower full of Hardshells and walk down the ram to find a broken wall. Go inside this broken wall to find the Force Essence.
You go through this route during your first visit to Jedha when you have to find Cere.
Penitent Chambers
Go to the area where Merrin’s Speeder was destroyed by the Stormtroopers. Go to the wall running segment with your ascension cable past the speeder and reach the first ledge.
Turn around to find another hook you can use your ascension cable on. Wall run to the wall ledges, climb up, follow the path past some more wall running segments and reach the Force Essence.
Shattered Moon Force Essence Upgrade Location
In the Assembly Staging, above a pit full of shiverpedes is a Force Essence you can access by hooking onto some flying droids with your ascension cable.
