Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Bounty Hunters Guide: Locations and How to Beat Each One

Adrian by Adrian|

This guide will show you where to find every Haxion Brood Bounty Hunter in Jedi Survivor and one or two tips on how to defeat them.

What is the Haxion Brood

The Haxion Brood is a crime syndicate that operates in the Outer Rim during the time of the Galactic Empire. Cal Kestis first encounter with them happened during Jedi Fallen Order when he was kidnapped due to the gambling debts that Greez had with the Haxion Brood. Cal was forced to fight in the arena to entertain the Haxion Brood head, Sorc Tomo.

After escaping, the Haxion Brood sends endless waves of bounty hunters after Cal. Since then, they have been a constant problem for the young Jedi and the rest of the Mantis Crew. They might not be as powerful as the Hutt Cartel but they’re still a resourceful group.

Different types of units form the Haxion Broo. There are Commandos, Brawler Bounty Droids, Bounty Droids, Gunslingers, Bounty Hunters, Grenadiers, and Shock Commandos. Hunters of different types work together to cover for each other’s weaknesses, making them very annoying enemies to deal with.

Where to find and how to defeat Kip Ostar

Kip Ostar is one of the first Haxion Brood Shock Commandos that you’ll find. Kip carries a small shield and will try to hit you with it. Before doing damage, you must break his guard.

After talking to Caij for the first time on Pyloon’s Saloon, you’ll receive a rumor. Go to the Dredger Gorge at the Derelict Dam (Koboh). Fast travel to the Derelict Dam meditation point to make things quicker.

Once there, go inside the cave with the mine droids and walk until Kip ambushes you.

Kip Ostar is not a challenging enemy. Dodge Kip’s unblockable charges and you’ll be fine.

Where to find and how to defeat Raz

Raz is a Haxion Brood Bounty Droid that, unlike its colleagues, hunts alone. The former lifting droid has been turned into a deadly killing machine with parts from other droids.

You can find Raz at the Basalt Forest on the Forest Array (Koboh). Next to the bridge where you see a Mogu for the first time.

As I mentioned above, Raz hunts alone. This makes it one of the easiest Haxion Brood enemies to defeat since you don’t have to worry about getting shot from a distance while Raz charges at you.

If you want to make things a little more entertaining, confuse the Mogu to fight Raz. The Mogu will be defeated but your main enemy will be left with very little health, you just have to hit the final blow.

Where to find and how to defeat Meyen Corr

Meyen Corr is a Haxion Brood Gunslinger and one of the first Bounty Hunters you’ll face. Meyen doesn’t hunt with another Haxion Brood member, making her a very easy objective.

Go to the Boiling Bluff meditation point on Koboh. From there, walk towards the Untamed Dows. Meyen Corr will be between these to areas.

She’s a Gunslinger, meaning that there are no shields or powerful melee attacks to worry about. Try to corner and overwhelm with fast lightsaber strikes.

Where to find and how to defeat Mash

Mash is a Haxion Brood Brawler Bounty Droid. It might not look like much but in close spaces, it can be a true menace. Especially since he’s paired with a Haxion Brood Commando.

Mash can be found at the Abandoned Foundry at the Automated Forge (Shattered Moon).

The area where the fight takes place is very small, use abilities that can damage more than one enemy. Both of them will be attacking you non-stop and it’s not going to be pretty if they manage to stun-lock you. The Double Bladed Stance is ideal for these situations.

Where to find and how to defeat Kili Oso

Kili Oso is the first big shot on the bounty list. This Haxion Brood Commando is accompanied by a small army of Haxion Brood Bounty Bunters, all of them are armed to the teeth and work in pairs to cover each other’s weaknesses. In order to be able to find and fight Kili Oso, you must have already located Brother Armias on Jedha.

Kili Oso is deep inside the Sanctuary Temple on Pilgrim’s Sanctuary.

As soon as you get close to the temple, multiple Bounty Hunters will try to stop you. They work in pairs and have different types of weapons. Most of them consist of a jetpack hunter and another that is armed with a shield. The last one will try to be as close as possible to you while the other shoots you from a distance.

Right at the center of the temple, you’ll see and hear Kili Oso dispatching one of his own men because he was afraid of you.

Kili will run as soon as he sees you, more of his bounty hunters will join the battle. They are pretty annoying and underestimating them might make things harder than necessary.

Just like many other Haxion Brood hunters, Kili Oso uses flash grenades that can blind you for a few seconds. If this happens, reposition yourself until you can see again.

Where to find and how to defeat Gatt Medo

Gatt Medo is the only bounty hunter that can be found on Coruscant. This Haxion Brood Gunslinger is in the company of a Shock Commando. You must defeat Rayvis before being able to fight Gatt Medo.

To find her, simply go to the Undercity Industry at the Freight Handling Depot. The Freight Handling Depot meditation point is just a few meters from your objective.

The easiest way to defeat Gatt is by pushing her off the edge. But taking her down in a “standard” way is almost as easy. Dispatching the Shock Commando is the first thing to do, after this, Gatt will be super vulnerable to any melee combos.

Where to find and how to defeat Vaslyn Martz

Vaslyn Martz is a Haxion Brood Commando that uses the environment to his favor. His repulsor blasts and shield attacks make him an annoying enemy to fight on melee range. Vaslyn Martz is available after defeating Dagan Gera.

Vaslyn is located at Prospector’s Folly on the Fogged Expanse (Koboh). Exactly at the point where the fog becomes more dense.

He’s already waiting for you so be ready to fight as soon as you enter this area.

Vaslyn brought two Haxion Brood Shock Commandos with him. Don’t let them corner you or it will be hard to break through their shields without sustaining heavy damage.

Where to find and how to defeat Selfin Jook

Selfin Jook is as Haxion Brood Bounty Hunter, his diverse arsenal makes him a difficult enemy to defeat not because he’s particularly dangerous but due to where the fight takes place. Jook can only be fought after defeating Dagan Gera.

To find Selfin Jook, head to the Mountain Observatory at the Observatory Understructure (Koboh). The Observatory Understructure meditation point is very close to him.

Jook is waiting for you with two Haxion Brood Grenadiers. Since it’s not easy to get into melee range, Blaster Stance is your best friend in this scenario. If you can’t use the Blaster Stance, move around as much as possible, and remember that they can’t fly forever. Be patient.

Do not stay in one spot, the Grenadiers will stun-lock you if you’re not careful and it can be deadly if you’re playing on higher difficulties. Move around and use the structures near you as protection. Make them go to you and not the other way around.

Where to find and how to defeat Yuhong

Yuhong is another Haxion Brood Bounty Droid. Like the rest of its kind, Yuhong is slow and its attacks are telegraphed but that doesn’t mean you should underestimate it. Before fighting Yuhong, Dagan Gera must be defeated.

To find Yuhong, go to the Narkis Desert on the Path of Restoration (Jedha). The Anchorite Base meditation point is the closest one.

A Haxion Brood Gunslinger and Bounty Hunter are also waiting for you. But don’t worry, this time you have backup.

Merrin will be by your side during this fight. She can distract one enemy while you deal with the other two. Eventually, only the droid will remain. It stands no chance against Cal Kestis and Merrin.

Where to find and how to defeat Masi Finay, Fenn Finnau, KLE-O

This is one of the hardest fights of the entire list. Fenn, Masi, and KLE-0 are a Haxion Brood Bounty Hunter, Brawler Bounty Droid, and Shock Commando respectively. They are a formidable team and it might take you more than a few attempts before defeating the powerful trio. You must have completed the story on Nova Garon before facing the brothers.

They are located near the Hangar Bay.

Behind the door at the end of this corridor, the Haxion Brood team is waiting for its Jedi Prey. There’s one Purge Trooper patrolling the area, you can use this to your advantage.

After entering the room, the doors will close and they won’t open until only one side emerges victorious. It is a reduced space so make sure to not get cornered. I made the Purge Trooper fight KLE-0 for a few seconds while I attacked the Finau brothers. This gave me enough time to leave one of them weak enough.

My suggestion is to leave KLE-0 at the end, it’s slow and can’t attack from a distance. In my experience, taking down Fenn is the highest priority. Once he’s down, defeating the other two will be much easier.

Where to find and how to defeat Corde The Half, PR-85T The Other Half

Corde The Half and PR-85T (The Other Half) are a tight team that heavily rely on each other to dispatch their prey. PR-85T is a Brawler Bounty Droid while Corde is a Gunslinger. Their strategy is simple but effective, PR-85T will try to hit punch you while Corde shoots from a distance. They can only be faced after completing the story on Nova Garon.

The Bounty Hunting pair location is at the Ancient Ruins on the Halls of Ranvell (Jedha). The Halls of Ranvell meditation point is very close to it.

You can take the zipline that’s just a few meters ahead of the meditation point. As soon as you drop, Corde and PR-85T will be waiting for you.

At this point, you’re probably not thrilled about having to fight another Brawler Bounty Droid. If this is the case you can simply get close to the edge and Force Push PR-85T. Once the droid is down, Corde will be super easy to defeat.

Where to find and how to defeat Jo the Cannibal

Along with Vaslyn Martz, Jo the Cannibal is considered one of the top Haxion Brood Hunters. This Bounty Droid made its reputation by taking parts of its victims and incorporating them into its arsenal. You must complete the story in Nova Garon before being able to fight Jo the Cannibal.

This enemy is located at the Yurt Barracks inside the Lucrehulk.

This Haxion Brood Bounty Droid made a deal with the remaining Bedlam Raiders, you’ll have to face and defeat multiple groups formed by units of both factions.

This is one of the hardest fights on this list, make sure to rest before engaging in combat. Not only you’ll have to fight Jo the Cannibal, but also a Bedlam Smasher and a Magnaguard. Jo won’t join the fight immediately, it will wait for a few seconds before attacking. I suggest focusing on the Bedlam Smasher first, as it is the most dangerous enemy out of all three.

After defeating the Magnaguard and Bedlam Smasher, Jo the Cannibal is super easy. Its attacks are powerful but slow punches and kicks that are super easy to dodge thanks to Cal’s speed and agility. You shouldn’t have major problems defeating it once it’s the only remaining enemy.

Where to find and how to defeat Final Bounty Hunter

This is the final bounty you will collect. After defeating every other Haxion Brood hunter, return to Pyloon Saloon and look for Caij Vanda. You’ll notice that her seat is empty. She left you a message and tells you to meet her for a surprise.

Go to the Stone Spires at the Devastated Settlement on Koboh.

The following paragraphs contain spoilers about one of the coolest moments of the game. In case you want to experience it for yourself, I’d suggest that you stop right here. You already have all the information you need.

Caij Vanda is patiently waiting for you, talking to her is going to trigger a cutscene. She reveals that you’re her bounty to collect. Everything was just a ruse to eliminate the competition until no one else was left.

Caij Vanda is a very sharp shooter and has very high mobility thanks to her propulsion boots. Unlike most ranged units she doesn’t move physically before shooting, making it a little harder to react. She can also shoot two unblockable shots in succession, be careful with this attack.

The best way to defeat Caij is to overwhelm her with multiple strikes. You can practically lock her if you do it correctly. The Dual Wield Stance is the best one for this.

After defeating Caij, another cutscene will trigger. Cal and Caij will be right in the middle of a “friendly chat” when an unidentified person shoots at their feet.

The best bounty hunter in the galaxy himself, Boba Fett appears to collect a bounty. But it’s not what you think, he’s here to collect Caij.

She attempts to pull the thermal detonator trick but Boba and Cal end up teaming up (kind of) to disarm and capture the Nautolan lady.

Things remain tense for a few moments but the situation de-escalates and both walk away without engaging in combat. This is by far one of my favorite easter eggs of the entire game. It doesn’t matter that it lasts just a few minutes, hearing Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett never gets old.

Congratulations! You have now officially defeated all Haxion Brood Bounty Hunters!

Defeating Caij Vanda will grant you the “Caij Match” achievement.
