How to get your Free Cyberpunk 2077 Witcher Gear (Phantom Liberty)

Adrian by Adrian|

In the guide, you will find everything about the latest batch of free Witcher-Themed gear and other items you can earn in Cyberpunk 2077 added to celebrate the release of Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion.

Every version of Cyberpunk 2077 from GOG.com comes with a package of digital goodies for you to claim in-game. This guide will show you the Witcher and Gwent-themed clothes, sword, and pistol – what they look like, how and when you can get them and how to wear them!

We have a separate guide for the first bundle of digital goodies added to the game with its launch in 2020.

How to earn the Digital Goodies

Every copy of Cyberpunk 2077 receives a bundle of cool items for V to use in the game. It doesn’t matter which edition you purchased. These items are a way of saying “thank you” by the CD Projekt RED developers.

These items are a gift. They are unobtainable through other means, no vendor or mission reward will give them to you. They are already live.

The one-of-a-kind items that you receive in-game are the following:

  • Rarog Vest
  • Wild Hunt Jacket
  • Gwynbleidd
  • Scorch
  • Gwent T-Shirt

The first thing that you have to do is sign up for “MY REWARDS” in Cyberpunk 2077 with your GOG account.

In order to receive all items you must have The Witcher 3 and GWENT: The Witcher Card Game added to your account on GOG or link your Steam account to GOG if you own any of the games there. You don’t need to have the games installed. To play Phantom Liberty you must purchase it and own the Cyberpunk 2077 base game.

Appearances and stats

This is a visual guide of what the item looks like and their stats. In case you’re not aware of it, Update 2.0 changed how many things work. As a result of this, clothes no longer have stats. They are just cosmetic items (with a few very minor exceptions).

Rarog Vest

You could tell me that this vest is used by an upcoming gang in Night City, it stands out, the logo in the back is great and while red and black are a combination of colors that some could consider cliche, it still looks very good.

The animal in the back of the vest is a Rarog. The Rarog is a firebird from Slavic mythology and part of CD Projekt Red’s logo. Pretty cool!

Wild Hunt Jacket

Based on the Wild Hunt from The Witcher, this Jacket has a military-brown color with bright red accents. It looks like the intermediate point between an armored jacket and a casual piece of clothing.

My favorite thing about it is the Wolf School logo in the back. It looks fantastic and is very subtle.

Gwynbleidd (Sword)

Geralt’s iconic silver sword is my favorite addition out of all of these items. I’ve spent many hours playing The Witcher 3 and being able to use his sword in Cyberpunk feels unreal.

If you look closely at the second photo, the sword is engraved. “Gwynbleidd” is the “White Wolf” translation from Elder Speech.

In case you’re not familiar with the game, Geralt of Rivia (the main character) is also referred to as “White Wolf” due to his physical appearance and the fact that he belongs to the Wolf School.

Scorch (Tech Pistol)

Scorch is a fitting name for any pistol but in this case, it has a deeper meaning. Gwent is a trading card game in the Witcher universe. In this game, playing the card “Scorch” allows its user to eliminate the opponent’s strongest card. If used at the right time, it can completely decimate the rival.

Just like “Gwynbleidd”, Scorch’s appearance includes some easter eggs in the form of multiple Gwent cards attached to its sides.

Gwent T-Shirt

The Gwent T-shirt is a simple short-sleeved shirt with a large logo of Gwent, the Witcher Card Game in the middle of the chest area. It is colored in a dual-tone green, reference to the colors CD Projekt RED emphasizes on with the stand-alone Gwent card game.

How to get the items in-game

You can get all these items as soon as you log into the game. If this is your first playthrough, you’ll need to complete a mission. It’s straightforward and won’t take you too much time.

It could take less than an hour to get them if you decide to skip the basic tutorials but if it’s your first first time playing the game, I wouldn’t recommend skipping. The items will not go anywhere so don’t rush.

After that, you’ll need to go to V’s apartment in Night City. Once inside, simply head to your stash to pick up all your digital goodies.

Remember that you can also access your stash through any purchased vehicle. Open your stash and you will see the items all next to each other. Click transfer on each item otherwise, you won’t see them in your inventory.

You can also access this menu from all of V’s apartments that you will be able to obtain/purchase lateron.

Three of these items are for the Upper Body while the remaining two are Weapons. For the clothes you simply need to click the upper body section and choose which clothes to equip.

For the weapons, you have to choose if you want to equip a melee weapon (Gwynbleidd) or a ranged one (Scorch).

Phantom Liberty Pre-Order Bonus

If you pre-ordered Phantom Liberty, you can get a very cool ride: Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante”. It will be completely free as a gift to you. As soon as you load up your game, you will get a message about it.

As soon as you get the message, the car will already be available in your collection and you can call it any time.

If you did not pre-order the expansion, you can still get the car, but for a price, of course. Select it in the terminal. You can find a terminal with access to the Net in V’s apartment, for example.

In the right corner, you’ll see the Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante”. For “only” eighty-six grand this bad boy can be yours.

After the eddies have been transferred, the “Vigilante” will automatically appear in your vehicle list.

I’m not too crazy about this type of car but this one sounds amazing when reaching high speeds and it is easier to drive and maneuver compared to other cars of similar price. If I decide to make a road trip around Night City, this would probably be my chosen car.
