One of the new things in the 2.1 update of Cyberpunk 2077 is the possibility of getting an awesome custom Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet! This guide will tell you how to do it.
What’s special about this car
This car is one-of-a-kind, not only because Porsche models are almost non-existent in Cyberpunk 2077 but because it’s a complete custom model with Samurai decals and a special paint job.
The Porsche 911 is also the car that Johnny Silverhand used to drive, adding that this car has all the Samurai vibe (Johnny’s band) it’s undeniable that this car is perfect for everyone who’s a fan of Johnny or Samurai.
How to unlock it
To get this car you don’t have to be super high-level, get a lot of street cred, or spend a fortune. The only thing you have to do is unlock autofixer terminals. This is done after completing the main job “The Heist”. This is where V. and Jackie infiltrate the Konpeki Plaza and attempt to steal “something” from a very important “someone”.
This is fairly early in the game and way before you can access the Phantom Liberty expansion. Once you complete this job, autofixer terminals and the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet will be available.
How to get the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet
You’ll receive a message from Muamar “El Capitan Reyes” mentioning an amazing Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. Just like any other purchasable car, it must be acquired through the Autofixer terminal. The price of this very special car is $73,000, but you can use the special Autofixer discounts to get it for a cheaper price.
Once the purchase is done, the mission “Shape of a Pony will begin”. “El Capitan” immediately sends another message explaining that the guy who was supposed to deliver the car “disappeared”.
In other words, you have to find and reclaim the car you just bought. It might sound annoying but this is probably one of the easiest missions in all of Cyberpunk 2077.
Head to the last known location of the car, it’s southeast of Dogtown. In the Badlands to be more specific. El Capitan said that you should use a fast car but sadly this mission doesn’t require it. Any car or bike will do.
Once you get there, the body of “Johnny Silverman” will be lying on the floor. Loot the poor guy, after getting the two items he’s carrying the coordinates of the car will show up on the map.
Luckily for you, the car is just a not to far away from your current location. Five Wraith members are waiting in this area. None of them are particularly strong so taking them out shouldn’t be too hard unless you’re very low-level.
Once the thieves have been taken care of, retrieve the key from the guy with long, green hair. I encountered a bug during this part, which prevented me from looting the guy even though the game highlighted him as the guy carrying the key. I had to reload the previous save a total of three times before I could get the key. Make sure to have a save near this part in case you get the same issue.
Once the key is in your hands, go to the small “garage” that’s ahead of you. Your new car is inside waiting for you to try it.
Congratulations, you’re now the official owner of the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet. As soon as you get inside the car it will be added to your vehicle list.
While this isn’t the fastest car in the game, it’s obvious that getting a good car without spending a ton of eddies and without level or street cred restrictions is fantastic.
With the 2.1 update, we can play repeatable car races. These races require different strategies depending on the course but ultimately it’s the fastest car (and driver) who wins. If you don’t have any cars that can be considered for a race then this is the perfect choice.
This isn’t the only Porsche 911 that can be acquired in Cyberpunk 2077. Johhny’s actual car is obtainable in the base game, to learn how to do so check the How to get Johnny Silverhand’s car, jacket, and gun guide.
Many other new features and improvements were part of the 2.1 update: New vehicles, changes to motorbike combat, radioport, replayable car races, improvements to boss fights (like Adam Smasher), etc! You can check out this content and more on our Cyberpunk 2077 guides master list.
