How to unlock “Prototype in the scraper”

“Prototype in the scraper” is a gig in Cyberpunk 2077′ expansion Phantom Liberty. It can only be unlocked after completing the main quest “The Spider and the Fly “. It is located on the West side of Dogtown, the closest travel point is Longshore Stacks.

How to unlock "Prototype in the scraper"

As usual, Mr. Hands will call and give specific instructions to retrieve a priceless prototype that was stolen from Zetatech. The Scavs ambushed the convoy that carried it, they don’t know what’s in their power, being fast and precise is vital.

Infiltrate the scav’s hideout

As soon as you get close to the area you’ll notice that there are many Scavs around this area. This zone is on a lower level so before going down the ramp you’ll have vision from enemies on the first and second levels.

Those on the lower level are stationary while those on the second floor are patrolling, there’s also cameras on the area so make sure to scan everything.

Infiltrate the scav's hideout

The enemies you saw in the previous image are just the first line of defense. If you are discovered many more will come, especially from the upper level. Ideally you can get rid of most Scavs by performing precise headshots with a silencer but if that fails this is what will happen.

Infiltrate the scav's hideout

Before being able to enter the underground an automatic turret will be in your way. If you can be sneaky and hack it to attack your enemies then this area won’t that much of a challenge, especially when playing on higher difficulties.

Infiltrate the scav's hideout

There are two Scavs near the entrance, it’s fairly dark inside and if you’re not paying attention it might be easy to miss them but trust me, they’re there. The good news is that unless you’re extremely noisy they won’t notice your presence and the surprise factor will still be on your side.

Get in, more Scavs are guarding the area but it’s nothing compared to the forces that you wiped outside. There’s another turret around the corner, you won’t see it immediately due to the right wall blocking the view but be careful not to rush in. Once the area is clear, take the elevator located right to the turret.

Take down all remaining guards

The elevator will take you to the 24th floor of the building. You guessed it, more Scavs waiting for you! At first sight it might look like just another small room, but this is a big area with two levels and many enemies!

Just like in every previous area, there’s an automatic turret waiting to shoot you. Be mindful that many enemies will show from all sides. The easiest thing to do here is to find a good spot to hide and take every enemy one by one.

The map shows where to go, more enemies will be around but most of them are on patrol duty so where whey appear depends entirely on your timing and discretion.

One last guy will enter the room in the image below, eliminate him and walk towards the metal curtain you see at the end of the hall. Your instinct might tell you to go outside but what you have to do is go upstairs.

The last two guards are unaware of everything that happened to their chooms, they’re standard enemies so two well-placed bullets are enough to take them down.

Find and talk to Hasan

The signal of the prototype will lead you to this man locked in a cell. He’s an engineer from Zetatech and the sole survivor of the Scav ambush. It turns out that this guy decided to install the prototype into his own skull. Who would do such a dumb thing, right?

Whether you like it or not, the prototype goes where Hasan goes. Time to get out of this place before more Scavs swarm this place. A code is required to open the door (2753) but it’s even easier to simply hack the door.

V. keeps an eye on Hasan while he looks for the schematics of the prototype. Once he finds them you can both get out of the hideout. Go to the balcony that’s outside, no need to go to other rooms or search for small tunnels.

Interact with the panel that’s on the corner. This will lower a bridge that Scavs use as an emergency exit.

Cross the bridge with Hasan, he will screw the circuits so that no one can follow you. The part of the mission with lots of action is finished but the interesting will begin shortly.

Should you let Hasan go or hand him over to Zetatech

Hasan is happy to finally be free, but he just wants to walk away, and we know that’s simply not possible. This is where your choices will decide the outcome of this mission and ultimately, Hasan’s fate. For the best possible outcome, choose the first answer.

Should you let Hasan go or hand him over to Zetatech

Call Mr. Hands and decide what to do, you can help him disappear with the prototype and still deliver the schematics to Zetatech or deliver Hasan to his employers. This will likely end up in him getting tortured to death.

The best thing to do is to help him escape and deliver the schematics. This is not just because of the morals of this choice but mainly because you will get an iconic weapon if you choose this.

Should you let Hasan go or hand him over to Zetatech

Mr. Hands will agree to help Hasan as a professional courtesy, he will send one of his goons to pick up the schematics. If for any reason you decide to hand Hasan to Zetatech, the same merc is going to take him back to the megacorp.

Obtain the Iconic Weapon “Ambition”

Around a week after completing the mission, Mr. Hands is going to send a message saying that Hasan wants to contact you. He’ll provide the coordinates and this will start the (brief) mission “Go on your way”. Please note that this happens only if you decided to help Hasan.

It might have been just a few days, but Hasan is doing good, and he wants to repay what you did for him. As a former engineer for Zetatech he has some skills that many investors in Dogtown are very interested in.

To show his gratitude, Hasan hands over the first functioning prototype of a gun he’s working on. This is the Iconic Tier 5 Tech Pistol “Ambition”.
