There are 13 Perk Shards you can find scattered throughout Night City and Dogtown, which can be enough Perks to fill an entire Skill Tree branch! This guide will show you where to find them all.

What are Perk Shards and how to use them
Perk Points can be spent to unlock a Perk in an Attribute’s tree. Each Perk Shard automatically grants you an additional Perk Point (yellow) when you pick it up, just like you get when you level up, minus the Attribute Point (blue).
The Perk Points from Perk Shards are no different from those gained by leveling up, and can be reallocated whenever you respec.
Base Game Perk Shard Locations
There are 10 Perk Shards accessible in the base game, outside of Dogtown, so you can get them whenever you want. I’ve tried to list these in order of proximity to each other, so you should be able to drive from one to the next without needing to do too much backtracking.
Empty Warehouse in Watson
This Perk Shard is located at the back of an abandoned warehouse in the middle of Watson, Northside.
The Warehouse has 3 open garages, lettered A, B, and C. Unfortunately, it’s somewhat far from any Fast Travel Points.
Japantown NCPD Alert
This Perk Shard is stashed in the back of a trunk at an NCPD alert in Westbrook, Japantown.
Roadside Assistance in the Badlands
This Perk Shard is located on a corpse beside a car in the Badlands a little ways off the road halfway between Dakota and Edgewood Farms. Look for a billboard on the road, and then look past it, scanning for a drone.
Suspected Organized Crime in the Middle of Nowhere
In the heart of the Badlands, also near Edgewood Farms and Dakota, you’ll see a Suspected Organized Crime NCPD alert. The Perk Shard is your main reward for clearing it.
Memorial Park NCART Station
This Perk Shard is located at an NCPD alert in Corpo Plaza, City Center, at the entrance to the Metro: Memorial Park NCART Station. Head toward that station, and you’ll pass by it.
Corpo Plaza Maintenance Worker
You can find this Perk Shard clutched by a maintenance worker who appears to be sleeping on the job.
The delinquent employee is supposed to be servicing a piece of utility infrastructure at the northern edge of Corpo Plaza in City Center, right across the street from the nearest Dropbox.
Gang Activity in the Glen
This Perk Shard is located at an NCPD alert beneath the freeway that takes you out of Corpo Plaza heading southwest, though it’s not near Corpo Plaza.
The NCPD alert is in The Glen, Heywood. It’s kind of a pain to get to because the Valentinos like to live in a maze for some reason. The closest Fast Travel Point is Megabuilding H2.
Riverside Garage NCPD Alert in Arroyo
This Perk Shard is located at an NCPD event at a garage in Arroyo, near one of the bridges between Santo Domingo and Heywood.
Arasaka Industrial Park
This Perk Shard is located at the parade float warehouse at Arasaka Industrial Park in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. Specifically, it’s on the third floor of the dedicated security that connects to the underground passageways.
You infiltrate this facility with Goro during the mission Gimme Danger, though you can procure this Perk Shard at any time, along with the Iconic Prototype: Shingen MK.V Smart SMG.
Reported Crime at Garage in Rancho Coronado
This Perk Shard is located inside a garage near the Petrochem Dam and Ripperdoc in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo. Don’t go straight here yet, because you need to do the associated Reported Crime NCPD alert first.
The garage door is locked until you pick up the mission from the nearby Reported Crime NCPD alert in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo, which will then send you to the garage for Part 2.
Phantom Liberty-Exclusive Shard Locations
There are 3 Perk Shards in Dogtown, so you’ll need to have the Phantom Liberty expansion and access to Dogtown to obtain them.
Dog Eat Dog Mission
This Perk Shard is located inside the walls of EBM Petrochem Stadium. As far as I can tell, it’s only accessible during the mission Dog Eat Dog, so this Perk Shard is missable. It’s in the trunk of a blue Villefort, right at the beginning of the platforming section as you step off the elevator.
EBM Petrochem Stadium Junk Shop
You can purchase a Perk Shard from the Junk Shop at EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown for 17k eddies. This vendor also sells a Tier 4 Progression Shard for each Skill, and its owners are an easter egg. The BD shop is run by CDPR founders Michal Kicinsky and Marcin Iwinski.
Longshore Stacks
This Perk Shard is hidden behind some destructible cardboard boxes at the Longshore Stacks. It’s in a narrow corridor right below the Junk Shop run by a former Media and behind Ronald “Ronnie” “The Ronster”, who lies about selling things like his locally-sourced PREEM STIMS.
