How to unlock the “Moving Heat” mission

Moving Heat will only be available after you complete the main story of Phantom Liberty, it doesn’t matter who you side with during Firestarter. The side mission Run This Town must also be completed.

You’ll receive a message from Ashlay, a netrunner that you indirectly screwed over after sabotaging the transceivers and stealing the car that the twins were driving during the main job “Birds With Broken Wings”.

He wants you to erase all the data from the car, so no one will know that he was involved in, and in exchange, you’ll get to keep that very nice-looking car. It is still parked where you left it, which means that V must return to the stadium. Once there, Ashlay will grant you access to an elevator.

In the Dogtown Stadium

As you might imagine, this place is fortified and crowded with Barghest forces. Raising the alarm will make everything harder. The first thing that you’ll see after exiting the elevator will be a camera, a few meters ahead a single Barghest trooper is standing.

There’s also another camera on the left side of this area. As with every mission that requires a stealth approach, I recommend using “Her Majesty”.

Two more enemies are patrolling the area, to avoid getting spotted by the cameras on the farthest side of this storage room wait for him to be near the spot where the first enemy you defeated was standing.

Cyberpunk 2077 Moving Heat - Second wave of guards

After all cameras have been deactivated and the patrolling soldiers dealt with, eliminate the last enemy standing guard.

Sneak into the Truck

Open the metal curtain, you’ll see a truck on the far left side of your screen. Prepare to move fast and carefully.

The truck must stop for a security check, this is your best opportunity to go unnoticed.

Cyberpunk 2077 Moving Heat - Sneak into the truck

Before rushing to the truck, notice that there are three Barghest soldiers and a turret guarding. The guards are distracted and it’s unlikely that any of them spot you, but the same can’t be said about the turret, deactivate it before making any move.

Cyberpunk 2077 Moving Heat - Turrets you have to deactivate

Do not get out of the truck until it has stopped. The game may not register that you are moving and it may demand that you return to the spot where you boarded the truck. If this happens to you, just ignore it.

Cyberpunk 2077 Moving Heat - V hiding from the Barghest soldiers

There’s another security check, a turret and camera are actively looking for anything suspicious. The truck is moving at a speed that makes it hard to interact with both devices, the best one to turn off is the turret.

The camera isn’t pointing directly at your position, the mission won’t be compromised if you leave it working.

You’re now inside the garage, where all the vehicles are parked. It might look empty but this area is guarded by a decent number of guards. They’re just harder to spot. Wait until the truck has completely stopped before doing anything.

Get into the Sport R-7 “Charon” car

The truck will park next to a concrete column, there’s a camera right there. An armored Barghest trooper and a second camera can be spotted at the end of the parking lot. Deactivate the cameras and distract any nearby enemies before jumping out of the truck.

The car you’re looking for is exactly in front of your current position.

Ashlay will continue to send messages throughout the whole mission, it becomes annoying after receiving multiple of them. The only time you need to check his messages is right after getting inside the car, he will give instructions on how to delete the data.

Time to go, turn on the car, and drive as carefully as possible. No speeding or crashing into anything or anyone.

Leave the garage

Before being able to leave, a Barghest soldier will tell you to wait for a few seconds. Just wait patiently, the alarm can still get triggered at this point.

Continue driving, and remember that you’re still inside the stadium, a ton of Barghest forces are deployed on multiple points. From standard soldiers to Mechs.

After exiting the stadium, the job will be officially complete. The Sport R-7 “Charon” has been added to your vehicle list. But wait, there’s more!

This might look like just another sports car but there’s something very special about it. After reaching 50mph, a very cool flame effect will trigger, this effect is not permanent and will only occur when going above that speed.
