CD Projekt Red just released a new patch for Cyberpunk 2077. It’s labeled 2.12 and fixes many bugs while adding some quality-of-life changes to the game!
Update 2.1 was the last major update for Cyberpunk 2077 (for now) but CD Projekt Red has been releasing patches on an almost monthly basis. However, the size and impact of all the changes have been smaller. Most of them target a very specific issue inside a mission, interaction, or feature.
This patch is about 2.53GB in size on GOG. It addresses issues with quests, gameplay, and performance issues.
Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 2.12 Highlights
Here are some important changes and improvements. The full list of changes is at the bottom of this article for those who want to learn about absolutely every change.
Improved cursor visibility
The cursor wasn’t as visible as it should be for players who use controllers when using computers or navigating menus. Steam Deck, PC, and console players will all benefit from the improved cursor visibility in 2.12.
No need to be that strong when completing “I Can See Clearly Now”
“I can see clearly now” is a very particular mission, a strange vending machine named Brendan asks V for help. To help Brendan, V must move a dumpster. Originally, the Body requirement was 4 but it was increased later to 7. With 2.12 the new Body requirement is 3.
Sasquatch’s now attacks properly
Sasquatch’s boss fight is one of the most deceptively difficult fights in the game. Especially after the changes implemented in update 2.0 that made it more challenging. Her jump attack wasn’t interacting how CD Projekt Red intended and as a result, she wasn’t dealing damage. This has been fixed.
No more immortal enemies
Occasionally, random enemies would not take damage from any source. In the best case, it’s something funny but for players who play on higher difficulties, this is certainly extremely frustrating. These encounters with invincible enemies are a thing of the past.
Fixed an issue with Colorblind Mode
Colorblind Mode allows many people to enjoy games even if they’re not able to see as the rest of us.
BioDyne Berserk properly increases stats
There was an issue with the BioDyne Berserk implant that prevented the Crit Chance from the Reflexes Attuned (pictured at the bottom of the following image). Single digits of Crit Chance might appear insignificant but in tough battles, it can be the difference between victory or ending up flatlined.
