Star Wars Outlaws Editions Differences and Season Pass Guide

Adrian by Adrian|

This guide explains what’s offered by each Star Wars Outlaws Edition to help you decide what’s the best option for you.

Star Wars Outlawswas released on August 30th,2024, or August 27th for those with Early Access. You have the option to get the Standard, Gold, and Ultimate Editions. It’s worth noting that players who buy a physical copy of Star Wars Outlaws will require an internet connection to install it.

The editions for Star Wars Outlaw are named in a familiar fashion for Assassin’s Creed fans: Standard, Gold and Ultimate.

Pre-Order Bonus – no longer available

If you pre-order any edition of Star Wars Outlaws, you’ll receive the Kessel Runner Bonus Pack. Which includes an exclusive paint job for Kay Vess’ speeder and ship. You can see every cosmetic item from the game in our detailed Catalogs.

Standard Edition

Star Wars Outlaws’ Standard Edition costs 70 USD (retail) and includes just the base game and pre-order bonus (while available). This is the only edition that doesn’t grant Early Access.

Gold Edition

Star Wars Outlaws’ Gold Edition costs 110 USD (retail) and in addition to the contents of the Standard Edition, the Gold Edition includes:

  • Pre-Order Bonus, while available
  • 3 days of early access.
  • Season Pass which includes 2 upcoming story pack DLCs.

Both Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla had extensive post-launch support with fresh new content releases and game fixes for a long time after the game’s launch. This is a good sign that the new Star Wars game will get the same or similar treatment, but there’s always a risk.

Ultimate Edition

Star Wars Outlaws’ Ultimate Edition costs 130 USD (retail). In addition to the contents of the standard edition, the Ultimate Edition includes the following items:

  • Pre-Order Bonus, while available
  • 3 days of early access.
  • The Rogue Infiltrator and Sabacc Shark Bundles which come with cosmetics for Kay Vess, Nix, Kay’s Speeder, and the Trailblazer.
  • A Digital Art Book.
  • Season Pass which includes 2 upcoming story pack DLCs.

Getting the game via Ubisoft+

Ubisoft+ is a subscription service that gives access to multiple Ubisoft games. Some of them are available on day 1 and Star Wars Outlaws is one of them. This subscription service costs 18 USD per month.

If you decide to get the subscription instead of directly buying the game, you will get the Ultimate Edition and all of its contents. Keep in mind that canceling the subscription would remove access to Star Wars Outlaws and every other game in the Ubisoft+ catalog.

Season Pass Details

The Season Pass includes two DLCs that will be released after launch. There are three release times for the content part of the Season Pass.

At launch, you will get an exclusive mission and a cosmetic pack. Later in the Fall of 2024 and Sprint of 2025 you will get access to two more story packs.

We have a more in-depth overview of the contents of the Season Pack in our news article published as soon as Ubisoft revealed what’s included.

Which Star Wars Outlaws Edition should you get

If you’re already a subscriber of Ubisoft+ then you shouldn’t spend additional money on the game. This service provides access to multiple games and you’ll get all the content of the most complete (and expensive) Ultimate Edition. It’s also a cheap way to try the game and play it at least once if you’re not sure about owning it.

If you don’t care about cosmetics, subscription services are not your thing, and just want to play the game without spending too much money, the Standard Edition is the clear winner.

If money isn’t a concern, or you just simply want to get the Edition of the game with the most content then get the Ultimate Edition.

Discounts

Ubisoft is known to be offering discounts for their new games sooner than other companies tend to do. Star Wars Outlaws did not have to wait long for that to happen to it.

The first discounted price for all editions of the game was during the Black Friday in November 2024, right around the release window of the first DLC Story Pack and Update 1.4.

This may not be actual price when you decide to read the article, but if you are patient and don’t want to spend the asked retail price for the game, you can wait a bit longer and catch the next promotion.
