Visual Preview
The Armor of Solitude set in Elden Ring is available exclusively in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. It has all four pieces (helm, chest, gauntlets and greaves) and comes with a Greatsword. It’s also associated with the Repeating Crossbow. We have previews of both weapons along with the altered version of the chestpiece.

Armor of Solitude, Greatsword of Solitude, and Repeating Crossbow Stats
The Armor of Solitude set has a combined weight of 57.1 (not including the weapons), meaning it deserves to be in the heaviest weight class alongside the obesity costumes.
However, was placed in the 2nd heaviest weight class instead, despite being 25-50% heavier than everything else there, perhaps because of its more reserved silhouette.
The Greatsword of Solitude features a Unique Skill called Solitary Moon Slash that’s reminiscent of Vacuum Slice. You were probably murdered by it several times.
The Repeating Crossbow (AKA Elden Machine Gun) can fire a sustained volley of shots before needing to be reloaded, similar to the High Pages.
Where to find the Armor of Solitude set, Greatsword of Solitude, and Repeating Crossbow
You receive the Armor of Solitude set and Greatsword of Solitude after defeating the Blackgaol Knight at the Western Nameless Mausoleum, due west of the Scorched Ruins.
He’s got enough Poise that he could be knee-deep in his own BS and you still couldn’t interrupt one of his attacks.
While it’s hardly the most annoying thing he does, you can just side-step his machine-crossbow barrage attack while drinking from your flask or casting something on the move, so long as you avoided the first shot.
Despite him whipping it out every so often, the Repeating Crossbow does not drop from the Blackgaol Knight. Instead, you’ll find it on a corpse at one of Messmer’s Forces’ war camps on Scadu Altus north of the Fort of Reprimand.
Said war camp is being ravaged by a Ghostflame Dragon, and the soldiers are actively trying to fend it off. This particular dragon has more health than the rest to compensate for the damage dealt to it by the platoon.
I recommend only attacking the specific soldiers that train their sights on you, or you might run out of Flasks before the dragon runs out of health.
If you haven’t unlocked yet the new expansion area, we have two guides and a great bleed build to help you do that easily and efficiently, even on a new playthrough!
