Rakshasa Armor Set and Great Katana Description and Stats

The Rakshasa armor set has a combined weight of 30.5 (excluding the weapon). It’s part of the 9th heaviest weight class in the game, shared by sets like Hoslow, Raging Wolf, and Royal Remains. Each piece of the Rakshasa set increases damage dealt and damage taken by the wearer.

Rather than by applying a percentage debuff, the Rakshasa set increases damage taken by having significantly worse Damage Negation stats compared to other armor in its weight class. It does not seem to affect Resistance, only Damage Negation.

The damage negation is debuff is pretty small, roughly equivalent to what you get from other armor sets that weigh about 30% less per piece, like the rank-and-file soldiers wearing Tabards and Surcoats.

The percentage damage boost is granted additively per armor piece appears to be roughly +8.5% combined, so approximately +2.125% per piece, meaning it’s similar to what casters get with the Graven-Mass and Flock’s Canvas Talismans.

Rakshasa’s Great Katana is part of the new Great Katana weapon class, and features a Unique Skill that allows you to spam a horizontal swings like you’re reaping what others have sewn. You can spam the Unique Skill as long as you have Stamina.

This Great Katana also makes you less likely to get interrupted while attacking, but increases the damage you’ll take by roughly 8.5%. The interrupt protection is not represented through stats.

I want to emphasize that seeing TWO Daedicar’s Woe debuffs is pretty spooky, but the actual damage taken increase is not as significant as it might seem at first glance. You will take a fair bit more damage wearing something like wizard robes for a light equip load than you will with Rakshasa’s set.

Where to find Rakshasa Armor Set and Great Katana

You receive the Rakshasa Armor Set and Great Katana after defeating the mini-boss Rakshasa at the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum at Scadu Altus along the Recluses’ River.

The only way to reach here is from the Ruins of Unte. You can’t drop down from Bonny Village.
