There are four Battlefield Priest Cookbooks in the Realm of Shadow. We’ll tell you what recipes you get and where to find each one.
The Battlefield Priest’s Cookbooks contain some of the most valuable crafting recipes released with Shadow of the Erdtree, most notably a consumable item version of Golden Vow.
All of the Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook recipes call for a Blessed Bone Shard, which are pretty rare. You can typically only find them in holy places like churches and near Erdtrees or the Scadutree.
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook 1 Location and Recipe
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [1] contains the recipes that let you craft (Drawstring) Golden Grease, which is a superior version of (Drawstring) Holy Grease. The recipe calls for a Knot Resin and a Shadow Sunflower (and a String).

You can loot the Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [1] from a corpse on the balcony at the Tree Worship Church in the drained Church District at the Shadow Keep.
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook 2 Location and Recipe
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [2] provides the recipe for Festive Grease, which grants 25 Runes per hit and adds +100 Holy Damage for 60s. The recipe calls for 1 Knot Resin and 1 Blessed Bone Shard.
Since the Rune generation does not scale with damage, it’s best used on a weapon with a high hit rate, like a Dagger or Twinblade.
You can loot the Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [2] from a chest atop the tallest tower at the Fort of Reprimand. The stairs to the tower are in the room with Black Knight Eldredd, who drops Ash of War: Aspects of the Crucible: Wings.
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook 3 Location and Recipe
The Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [3] gives you the recipe to craft a consumable item version of the Golden Vow. Its duration is roughly half that of the Incantation, but it’s strictly better than the Ash of War. The recipe calls for 1 Blessed Bone Shard and 2 Shadow Sunflowers.
You can loot the Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [3] from a corpse in a large tent at the war camp for Messmer’s Forces in front of the Shadow Keep. The tent is very close to the Keep, near the Black Knight Archer.
Not sure why you need a campsite directly in front of your massive, heavily fortified headquarters…
Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook 4 Location and Recipe
The Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [4] gives you the recipe to craft the Sunwarmth Stone, which is a superior version of the Warming Stone and Frenzyflame Stone. The recipe calls for a Spiritgrave Stone, a Black Pyrefly, and a Blessed Bone Shard.
You can loot the Battlefield Priest’s Cookbook [4] from a corpse behind an illusion wall in the Living Jar infirmary at the Shadow Keep. The illusion wall conceals the same room where you get ambushed by a Warrior Jar in the opposite wing.
