This guide will show you what the High Priest armor set, Finger Robe, and Maternal Staff look like, what stats they provide, and how to get them in Elden Ring’s DLC Shadow of the Erdtree!
Visual Overview
The High Priest armor set, Finger Robe, and Maternal Staff in Elden Ring are available exclusively in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The armor set has all 4 pieces (helm, chest, gauntlets and greaves). Also pictured is the Maternal Staff.
Some helmets remove the gold collar. You can alter the High Priest Robe (chestpiece) to transform it into the Finger Robe, which adds a cape and exposes the wriggling underneath.
Unfortunately, you cannot remove the cape. This is one of the few times where it would have made sense to offer the Finger Robe as a separate piece of armor.
High Priest Armor Set, Finger Robe, and Maternal Staff Descriptions and Stats
Count Ymir’s garb consists of the High Priest Armor Set, and later the Finger Robe and Maternal Staff.
High Priest Outfit
The High Priest outfit has a combined weight of 9.8 | 10.7 with the High Priest Robe | Finger Robe and is part of the 2nd lightest weight class in the game, alongside all of the other wizard robes.
The High Priest Hat grants +1 Intelligence and Arcane, but unless you’re going for fashion, there are objectively better hats to use from a stat perspective.
Don’t sleep on those fantastic High Priest Undergarments. They’ll make you look like an unwilling participant in the French Revolution.
Finger Robe
The Finger Robe is the altered version of the High Priest Robe. It weighs only 0.9 more despite adding that massive woolly cape, offering slightly better stats. The bigger benefit of the Finger Robe over the High Priest Robe is the 8% damage boost it offers to Finger Sorceries. The High Priest Robe does not offer any boost to Finger Sorceries.
Radahn’s Gauntlets match the set perfectly if you want something that looks a bit heavier.
Maternal Staff
The Maternal Staff features A scaling with both Intelligence and Arcane. At 80 of both, it has identical Sorcery Scaling to Lusat’s Glintstone Staff, without the FP cost increase, though it is slightly weaker than the Prince of Death’s Staff. The Maternal Staff boosts the damage dealt by Finger Sorceries by 15%.
It is meant to look similar to the Staff of the Great Beyond, but it is a completely different weapon.
Where to find the High Priest Armor Set, Finger Robe, and Maternal Staff
You receive the High Priest Armor Set and Maternal Staff for defeating Count Ymir at the end of his Finger Ruins Quest at the Cathedral of Manus Metyr on Scadu Altus.
You can alter the High Priest Robe to the Finger Robe at any Site of Grace or with Boc the Seamster.
