Endonae by Endonae|

This guide will show you what the Swordhand of Night armor set and Sword, Shield, and Claws of Night look like, what stats they provide, and how to get them in Elden Ring’s DLC Shadow of the Erdtree!

Visual Overview

The Swordhand of Night armor set and Weapons of Night in Elden Ring is available exclusively in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. The set has all 4 pieces (helm, chest, gauntlets and greaves) and you’ll see the Sword and Shield of Night previewed.

Unfortunately, you cannot alter the chestpiece to add a cape jacket, and when you two-hand your weapon, the Shield of Night hangs on your back sideways and floats noticeably above many armors. You’ll need to do this frequently if you use it alongside the other Weapons of Night.

Swordhand of Night Armor and Weapons of Night Descriptions and Stats

The Swordhands of Night Jolán and Anna both wear the Armor of Night. Jolán uses the Sword and Shield of Night while Anna uses the Claws of Night. The coloration is different, but the Sellian Sorceries like Night Comet and Staff of Loss fit well.

Swordhand of Night Armor Description and Stats

The Swordhand of Night armor set has a combined weight of 16.9 (not including armaments) and is part of the 5th lightest weight class alongside other elite soldiers. It has no special effects other than making you look like Sauron.

Weapons of Night Descriptions and Stats

There are 3 Weapons of Night, a Small Shield, a Katana, and some Claws. All of them deal partial Magic damage but scale exclusively with Dexterity. Much like the quest associated with Swordhands of Night Jolán and Anna, these weapons are unfinished.

Shield of Night Description and Stats

The Shield of Night is a Small Shield that has a Unique Skill: Revenge of the Night. The Skill makes the shield shoot out a bolt of darkness, basically a dark Glintstone Shard. Revenge of the Night deals more damage if you time it as a counterattack, though you need to have enough Stamina and HP left over to survive the hit and activate the skill.

Sword of Night Description and Stats

The Sword of Night is an edgy Katana. Despite dealing 25% of its damage as Magic, it exclusively scales with Dexterity. However, B scaling isn’t enough to make it remotely competitive with the alternatives.

The Unique Skill: Sword of Night recycles the Ash of War: Wing Stance animation and Waterfowl Dance VFX to give a cool-looking unblockable attack. However, non-Physical damage is only ever partially unblockable, and you can drain your target’s stamina with something like Waterfowl Dance or Wing Stance anyway, so it’s kind of pointless.

Claws of Night Description and Stats

The Claws of Night is the best weapon of the bunch with a powerful, effectively Unique, Skill: Scattershot Throw that applies a bunch of Bleed.
