Ultron makes a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

The untitled Marvel show featuring White Vision will feature James Spader’s voice of Ultron.

James Spader returns as Ultron

Spader reprises his role as Ultron, the nemesis of The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. He was seemingly destroyed by Vision at the end of the 2015 movie so that leaves the question of how he will make a return.

This can be done through either flashback, although if you use the Age of Ultron movie, then it would wear pretty thin because Vision and Ultron barely had any interaction.

In the movie, Ultron was created as a defense mechanism to protect Earth from extraterrestrial threats, instead, Ultron turned on humanity and created Vision’s body with the intent to inhabit it himself before the Avengers stole the body and Stark uploaded JARVIS’s AI into it.

Vision was born but was neither JARVIS nor Ultron, he was his own person and helped The Avengers to stop Ultron from wiping out humanity from the face of the planet. It was Vision who destroyed Ultron’s last body.

White Vision will see closure

Fans of the show Wandavision will finally have closure after the events of Westview in the Wandavision TV show.

After Vision died during the Battle of Wakanda, his body was reassembled by SWORD and his memory was wiped. He was turned into a weapon to stop the Hex Magic of Wanda who created Westview. A place where everything in her life was perfect because she couldn’t cope with the loss of Vision.

White Vision was resurrected by Tyler Hayward, the director of SWORD, who was trying to kill Wanda to cover up his crimes.

He used traces of Wanda’s Hex Magic to resurrect Vision’s body. He succeeded but his plan to cover up his crimes was stopped by Jimmy Woo and Darcy Lewis.

In the end, Wanda used her Hex Magic to make White Vision remember who he was. All he said was “I am Vision” and flew away.

Agatha All Along

The upcoming TV show, Agatha All Along, dives deeper into what happened to White Vision after he left Westview. Agatha All Along is the second show of the trilogy that will end with the, still, untitled Marvel’s Vision TV show.

In Agatha All Along, we find Agatha All Along, down and powerless from a distorted spell. With the help of a Goth Teen, they find out about the witch trials that will, if they pass, give them what they desire the most. And together they will go down the road further and further.

Agatha All Along is named after the song that was first heard in WandaVision and is the second character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to have her spinoff show. The first show to do that was Echo.

Agatha All Along will premiere on September 18, 2024, while the Vision mini-series will start shooting in early 2025.

The Vision Quest storyline is a must for the Vision TV show

Back in the 1990s, John Byrne wrote a comic book story for the West Coast Avengers named Vision Quest. Much like the WandaVision TV show, it featured Wanda and Vision trying to live a normal life.

In the comics, we also see a few rogue agents believe that Vision is a threat to national security and try to take him down. They succeed and disassemble him. He is reassembled as The White Vision. This is also the case in the TV show.

We saw some events of the comics happen in the TV show but what we haven’t seen yet is Vision trying to reconnect with his emotions and memories, that were given back to him by Wanda at the end of the TV show.

The comic book did do that and we see a Vision that is on a quest looking for his humanity and empathy. While Wanda descended into darkness by finding out the truth about her children. That’s something we saw in WandaVision and later in Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness.

It would be nice to have Miles Lipton, the man who gave upgraded Vision and gave him the ability to appear human. Vision named himself Victor Shade while disguised as a human being.

The big question is of course, will they bring back Wanda? This is a delicate question because Wanda died after the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

So if they do resurrect her then how would they do it? You can theorize that it will be either a memory or that they will use an alternative timeline version of Wanda.

You can only watch and see for yourself. I can’t wait for White Vision to be on the small screen.
