Find out where you can play Star Wars Outlaws, which editions are sold at what digital or physical stores and what exclusive bundles you might get.
Star Wars Outlaws is one of the most anticipated games of the year. Playing Kay Vess, a cunning smuggler who tries to make a reputation in the underworld, is refreshing.
If done right, it could open many possibilities for future Star Wars games. But before getting ahead of yourself, you should learn if the game will be available on a platform you own.
Where you can play Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws is available on three of the major platforms: PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 5. You can purchase it in physical (consoles only), digital format, or via streaming service.
You can play Star Wars Outlaws in both Xbox S and X series. It won’t look as good on the Series S but that is expected for any modern and recently released AAA title.
Both the Xbox and PlayStation stores have all editions of the game available for direct purchase. In case you were wondering, Outlaws won’t be playable on PlayStation 4.
PC is where you’ll be able to get the most out of the game, in terms of performance and visuals, but this is not news. However, keep in mind that this is a demanding game.
The PC requirements for Star Wars Outlaws should give you a rough idea of what to expect in terms of overall performance.
You can also subscribe to a streaming service to have access to it. This is a good option if you’re skeptical about the game but would like to give it a try nonetheless.+
The Ubisoft + subscription service costs (at the time of this publication) $18. You would need the Premium tier if you want to play Star Wars Outlaws.
If you pre-ordered the game or if you have an active Ubisoft + Premium subscription, you will be able to pre-load starting from 26th of August and start playing the game three days eaely – on August 27th.
Which stores sell Star Wars Outlaws
Before you purchase the game you must know that there are different editions that vary in price and benefits so it would be a good idea for you to check out the differences between all editions and decide which one is the best for you.
You can buy Star Wars Outlaws from Ubisoft directly or via the Epic Games Launcher. The Standard, Gold, and Ultimate Editions are available in both stores so it’s a matter of personal preference.
So far, Outlaws is not available on Steam, and considering the history of the past Assassin’s Creed games it is unlikely that it will be on Steam anytime soon. I will update this article if this changes in the future.
With the physical stores availability, you would have to check for yourself if your favorite local store will have a copy and when. All big ones, like Amazon, Target and Best Buy, are offering it, of course.
When it comes to streaming services, Star Wars Outlaws is currently available exclusively on Ubisoft+. There have not been any announcements about the game coming to Game Pass or PlayStation Plus.
Bundle Deals
There might be more bundle offers from other manufactures and retailers. This is not an exhaustive list.
Intel Bundle
A similar offer comes from Intel. The game is promoting Intel CPUs and is said to be optimized for them, so it’s logical that they partnered up and are offering a bundle if you buy a 14th gen CPU.
Nvidia Bundle
Nvidia has a partnership with Ubisoft as well and have recently announced a GeForce RTX 40 Series Bundle, available until September 19. Buying a new eligible product such as GPU, full PC or laptop from a select retailers and e-tailers, will grant you a Standard edition digital copy of the game.
They have gone even further and offer an exclusive reward for this bundle – the Forrest Commando Character pack, which offers outfit for your main character Kay and a skin for her companion Nix.
Amazon Exclusive Bonus
Amazon also has an exclusive deal. If you purchase Star Wars Outlaws from Amazon (this is an affiliate link), you will unlock the Rogue Infiltrator Character pack, which includes an outfit for Kay and a skin for Nix.
Game Stop Exclusive Bonus
Getting the game from Game Stop comes with the Sabacc Shark Character pack, which includes a Lando-inspired outfit for Kay and a skin for Nix to match hers.
Note that there is no guarantee these character packs will be forever exclusive for those stores. It is possible that Ubisoft may offer them on their in-game store or as a part of another promotion in the future.
