This guide will show you all four valuable treasure chests located at the Shipjacker Workshiop on Toshara in Star Wars Outlaws, including Zafi’s Vault Card and the Code Breaker Chip.

What is the Shipjacker Workshop
The Shipjacker Workshop is a small area in the eastern end of The Lost Steppe region on Toshara. It is home to non-faction pirates. This means you can freely engage in open combat without the fear of damaging your reputation with the Syndicates.
There are four treasure chests in this area and two of them contain important loot for progressing other quests.
Requirements to fully explore the area
To be able to access all rooms and open all treasure chests in the area, you need to have a few key abilities and blaster upgrades:
- Slicing Kit ability from Aila
- Ion Blaster mode unlocked
- Power Blaster mode unlocked
How to access the Shipjacker Workshop
The Shipjacker Workshop is part of the open world of Toshara. You can access it at any time. It has one guarded main entrance and additional stealth-friendly paths for you to explore and sneak in unnoticed.
If you are here just for the Vaule Keycard, you may prefer a more stealthy approach as at this point in the story when you get this Intel from the Pyke Syndicate restricted area in Mirogana, Kay isn’t very strong and you haven’t unlocked many abilities yet
As soon as you are close enough, you will see this notification on your screen:
The main entrance with a couple of guards in front of the cave is located on the south side. Two additional sneaky tunnels are also available west from the entrance.
When facing the entrance, look to your left. Two additional entry points are available. The first one will lead you behind the guards at the entrance. The second one will take you in through a narrow gap in the wall (Jedi Survivor comes to mind!) via a different tunnel.
Because this is a neutral faction, I will not give you strict instructions for a stealth approach. There are a lot of canisters and other objects you can ask Nix to blow up or break to help you thin the opponents’ numbers. Or you can go with a blaster in hand and take what is yours.
Treasure Chest Contents and Locations
There are four big treasure chests in the Shipjacker Workshop area on Toshara. You can get two of them pretty easily, for the third you will need the Ion Blaster mode and for the final chest you will need the Power mode to blow up a wall.
Illegal Buzz Droids +2
The first treasure chest is accessible with no extra tools or skills required and is thus not offering loof of great value. Just two items you can sell to a vendor for credits.
The chest is in a room behind a metal sliding door on the north wall.
Code Breaker Chip
The adjacent room contains the second treasure chest. To access it, you need the Slicing Kit, which is obtained after you complete The Slicer quest and unlock Aila, The Slicer as an expert.
Approach the door and use the Slicing Kit. If you need help, our Slicing Guide for Star Wars Outlaws will explain how both the basic and advanced versions of Slicing work in the game.
After you remove the energy barrier, you will find several small items and the second treasure chest, which contains the Code Breaker Chip. This is a unique Expert Key part, used to unlock the Slice Kit Upgrade ability from Aila.
Zafi’s Vault Keycard
On the circular platform in the middle, there is a control box. Use it to call one cranes carrying a crate next to you.
When the crate arrives to you, ask Nix to activate the crane again and jump and hold onto the crate.
When it arrives to the platform with the red energy barrier on tyhe east wall, jump down. Ask Nix to hold the shutter open. Shoot the power conduit with the Ion blaster to turn off the barrier.
Inside the room is the third treasure chest containing Shipjacker Fuel. Next to it is the Zafi’s Vault Keycard. This card is one of three you will need to obtain before you can unlock the Crimson Dawn Vault on Toshara.

The fourth treasure chest is behind a wall you can blow up using your Power Blaster mode. The place is marked with an “X”. It is on the west wall of the cave. If you use Nix mode, ithe stone wall will glow blue.
