Jet Kordo’s Vaults on Akiva: Star Wars Outlaws Guide

Endonae by Endonae|

This guide will show you how to discover Jet Kordo’s Legacy Vaults on Akiva in Star Wars Outlaws with the help of the Holotracker tool.

Requirements to unlock the Quest

To be able to start and complete this quest, you will need to have completed the main story on Toshara and be able to fly off to other planets. ND-5 recommends you go to Kijimi first, and there is a Jet Kordo vault on Kijimi just like the other planets.

Once you complete the main story quests on Toshara and have met ND-5 back on your ship, you can find the Holotracker near the Blaster worktable and side door showing a specific location on Toshara.

From there, you have to complete the Holotracker quest on Toshara. Discovering the Smuggler Caches is optional, and you can progress with Kordo’s Legacy quest chain on Kijimi and other planets.

For the vaults on Akiva, you’ll need to unlock the Hydrorepulsor that gives your speeder the ability to drive over deep water. You get this by progressing through the main story on Akiva and completing “The Scavenger” Expert quest.

How to start Jet Kordo’s Legacy Vault quest on Akiva

There is no intel or hint or anything about the whereabouts of other vaults after you leave Toshara. This walkthrough will give you the exact locations on Akiva that you have to visit and what you have to do to find the vault.

Your first objective on Akiva is to get a lead on where the holodisc might be. You’re looking for a duo of aliens who will be chatting by this beautiful water fountain in Artisan’s Row in Myrra, the capital city of Akiva.

They’ll tell you that a Miyuki Smuggler is selling a holodisc not too far away. He’s in the Market District near the Fast Travel point, right outside of the entrance to the Pyke District. You can’t miss him.

You can go directly to the smuggler merchant and purchase the holodisc for 100 Credits. This will also start the Intel quest for the vault.

How to find the Overgrown Vault on Akiva

The appearance of the smuggler may differ. It seems the devs like to play tricks on us with some things in the game. We have seen a different smuggler character on our various playthroughs. But he is always waiting at this same spot.

You need to purchase the Mysterious Holodisc from this colorful man for 100 Credits. This will update (or start) the Intel quest for the first vault.

Use the Holotracker to read the Holodisc

With another holodisc in hand, it’s time to look for the stone that lets you isolate the frequency broadcast by the vault. The hologram depicts the location of that stone.

Find the marked frequency stone at the Delma Water Tower

The landmark depicted is the Delma Water Tower, it’s a pretty distinct and shows up on the map just north of Salea’s Hand, the giant red tree. The river between them also divides their respective regions, Karaba Foothills and Myrra Valley.

There’s a little town by Salea’s Hand that’s only accessible by river using the upgraded speeder. At the back of the town, there’s a fallen log that you can use as a bridge to reach the Delma Water Tower.

If you to left after the bridge, you will find Smuggler Cache 87 on a lower level not too far ahead.

The Frequency Stone is near the tower, but not you don’t have to climb it. Just follow the lights along the main path and you’ll see the stone partially covered by moss.

Find the slot for the holodisc

Then, you’ll need to head back across the tree bridge to the area where you helped a certain High Roller and his ragtag band of freedom fighters.

The blinking yellow light will pulse faster and faster as you get closer and closer to the keypad, but really you just need to follow the main path and turn left at the plant with the giant solid green leaves.

Enter the Overgrown Vault

The vault will open when you insert the holodisc into the reader. Go through the door. Accept the invitation from the ominous white light.

Go on. You deserve this.

Annnnnd it’s just a recording telling you that there’s another vault on Akiva. No reward. Isn’t that swell?

Thankfully, you have a quest marker that will tell you where to go to get more information about the next holodisc.

How to find the Forgotten Vault on Akiva

After finding the Overgrown Vault, you’ll learn that there’s a second vault on Akiva and need to eavesdrop on a couple of folks chatting in front of the gates to Hutt Territory in Myrra.

Steal the Holodisc

They’ll tell you about someone who has the holodisc over at the Hutt Poaching Outpost. You’ll need to go there and politely request that Nix to steal it from him.

Use the Holotracker to read the Holodisc

The guard is none the wiser, so activate the Holotracker to read the holodisc. It displays a hologram that depicts the location of the Frequency Stone, a large and small island in The Great Basin, with the stone on the smaller island.

Find the marked stone at The Great Basin

Use your Hydrorepulsor-equipped speeder to glide across the water. The islands you’re looking for are just north of the Witch’s Finger and south of the Imperial Territory. You don’t need to do any climbing once you get there. The rock has been eroded by the water, so it’s hard to make out the marking, but it’s there.

Find the Holodisc slot

The vault isn’t on the island, rather it’s up north amid the craggy rocks. You can see the Vault’s Frequency area on in the map.

You’re looking for a ramp for your speeder, which will use to yeet yourself right in front of the regular locked door.

Enter the Forgotten Vault

Unlike the other vaults that featured some of the most dramatic and flamboyant surprise entrances ever witnessed, this one doesn’t try to earn any style points whatsoever. It’s not even a long speeder jump! Where’s the fireworks?

Inside, you’ll find the chest behind the counter over by the window to some deactivated B1 Battle Droids.

I think the devs were trying to confuse us with the lack of fireworks outside by setting them off inside instead. As soon as you try to open the chest, the security turret mounted to the ceiling starts blasting.

The off button is located over by the bed. You can use Nix to distract the turret, though it’s annoying to do as you need to have line of sight on the turret to be able to send Nix to distract it.

Unless you’re playing with the difficulty cranked up, I recommend just running over to the button and taking a few hits.

Forgotten Vault Rewards

Once you’ve deactivated the turret, you can go loot the chest, which contains the Jet Kordo’s Legacy 4 and the Scoundrel Pants. There’s also some lore over on the bed by the button.

Also pictured is the Scoundrel Belt, which you got from Jet Kordo’s Vault on Toshara.
