How to unlock MT-7 the Veteran Expert In Star Wars Outlaws

Adrian by Adrian|

This guide will show you how to unlock and complete the quest The Veteran in Star Wars Outlaws. After helping MT-7, The Veteran Expert, Kay will be able to use a new range of abilities that increase her survivability, slicing capabilities, and even Nix’s battle tricks.

How to unlock The Veteran Quest

The process to unlock MT-7 is quite unique compared to the other experts. What you need to do is find at least five out of the sixteen CIS transmissions. With the first one, you’ll get an intel chain but no mission will trigger.

How to unlock The Veteran Quest

These CIS transmissions are collectibles spread across the orbits of Akiva, Kijimi, Tatooine, and Toshara. You can find the CIS Transmissions inside the small yellow containers.

How to unlock The Veteran Quest - the yellow containers

However, these containers also keep other collectibles inside them. Unlike other containers, these can’t be destroyed. Just move close to them and retrieve the collectibles.

Please keep in mind that if you are using Explorer Mode, these containers will have a light-gray color.

Once you have five of them, a new expert quest will become available but only if you have completed The Viper main quest on Akiva.

At this point, you will also have unlocked The Scavenger and the Hydro Repulsor ability. You must also unlock The Mechanic Expert, as the Speeder Boost ability is required to reach some of the main quest areas on Akiva.

Once you meet all the requirements, ND-5 is going to track a signal to a hidden location north of the Myrra Valley. The only way to get there the first time is with the Trailblazer.

This is where you’ll find MT-7, an old and barely functional BX-Commando Droid that is still trying to complete its mission, despite the Clone Wars ending twenty-five years ago.

After talking to him, Kay and ND-5 decide to help him figure out what happened to its old unit. Use the ladders to go to a lower level (not the lowest).

You’ll see two power generators that can be turned on with the Ion module, but that’s for a little later.

Get on top of the containers, then jump to the bars to reach the big hole in the wall.

This is where the third generator is located. You must shoot all three within a time period to power the door.

It’s easy to shoot all three generators from your current position. Once it’s done, the door is going to open. A B-1 Battle Droid holds a datapad. Read the report and proceed to search for the remaining two.

The gates on the lower level have opened and your speeder magically appeared.

Hop on the speeder and head for the next marked location. It’s right in the Myrra Valley. You are looking for an entrance to a cave. Be careful with the pack of Vengas that live inside.

Climb the wall on the left and turn right. Walk over the small bridge. This is a small place so you’ll be able to see another B-1 Battle Droid.

Recover the second datapad and read the report from Unit 437. Now to find the third datacard.

The third and final datacard is located east of Sashin. Look for what looks like a stone arch. Head inside and climb the walls, then continue walking forward.

Use the grappling hook on the tree and then jump to the other side.

One last B-1 Battle Droid is holding the final datapad. Read the report of Unit 416 and return to MT-7. He will inform you that something is blocking the CIS satellite.

The last stage of this expert quest takes place in the Orbit of Akiva. On the top left of the map to be precise, close to the Achra Station.

You must find and destroy a total of five jammers. Their appearance makes them stand out from anything else in this area.

A few seconds after you enter the area some pirates are going to attack. These jammers belong to them. Take them out before continuing your search.

One thing that gives out the presence of a nearby jammer is a small interference on the hud. It gets a little distorted. I confused it with a graphic bug but that’s not the case.

The next image highlights the areas where all jammers are. The top area has two jammers on it, you can see it in more detail after the next.

Identify the big antenna that’s mounted on what used to be a capital ship. There’s a jammer next to it, the second jammer in this area is located on the bottom of it. With all the jammers destroyed, the satellite is finally able to broadcast the message.

Return to MT-7. After Kay and ND-5 do a funny impersonation of CIS officials, MT-7 is finally able to rest.

You have now completed The Veteran and unlocked MT-7 as an expert. Decryption Module is your first new ability. It allows Kay to decrypt previously encrypted Separatist Datadiscs.

If you collect all 16 Separatist Datadiscs, you can also obtain the Disruptor Set near Sashin on Akiva!
