This guide will show you how to solve the door puzzle at The Bolthead on Akiva to obtain a Trans-Accelerator Blaster key part and unlock the final Power Pulse Maximum Charge upgrade.
Requirements to get to The Bolthead Hideout
The Bolthead treasure is only accessible if you have unlocked the Hydrorepulsor and the Fusioncutter. You are hunting for a Power mode upgrade, so naturally, you have already this mode for your blaster, which you will also need to blow up a rock.
You unlock the Fusioncutter during the main quest Legacy where you visit an abandoned Droid Factory on Akiva.
You automatically unlock the Hydrorepulsor ability when you complete Temmin’s expert quest The Scavenger on Akiva.
Allows the speeder to soar over water, enhancing its traversal capabilities.
Requirements:
– Unlocked after completing the quest “The Scavenger”.
The final upgrade for the Power Pulse mode of your Blaster is called Maximum Charge. It increases further the damage you deal when firing the blaster fully charged. The other requirements to unlock this upgrade include common materials:
Chalcopyrite
Cryo-Coil
You can purchase those from merchants, loot them from Treasure Chests and Smuggler Caches or find them as loot from containers.
How to reach the Trans-Accelerator treasure chest
To access the area, head for the southernmost part of The Great Basin on Akiva. Look for old ruins and among them, a smoking Landspeeder.
When you approach it, two bandits. Then look across from the Landspeeder to the other side of the water. There is a Grapple Hook you can use to climb up.
Continue climbing the stone wall. At the top, you will see a metal fence. Cut it with the Fusioncutter tool.
A double swinging segment follows and you will find yourself on the other side, on the side where the Landingspeeder is on the ground. When you land on the broken column in the middle, turn around. There are a few valuables you can swing back to pick up.
After the second swing, go to the right to pick up a few valuables, then turn around and go to the left.
Stick to the wall on your right and follow it through until you arrive at the puzzle door. Midway thgrough this climb, you should get a notification that you have discovered The Bolthead treasure location.
The Boldhead Door Puzzle Walkthrough
The door is locked and you see three red lights above it with three cables extending to a different location in the area. You haveto shoot at the power conduits at the end of the cables almost at the same time to unlock the door. Behind it is treasure containing the Trans-Accelerator.
When facing the door, turn left and use your Grapple Hook to get around to the other side where you will be able to shoot the first power conduit. through the crack in the stone wall
This one stays on the longest, so you start with it. Through the grapple hook again return to the door. Now, turn with your back against the door and walk forward and down to the edge of the stone floor. The second power conduit is below next to a small island on the water.
The third and final power conduit is hiden behind a rock above the door. Blow up the rock, then shoot the power conduit. If you did these steps quick enough, all three lights above the door would be green and the door will open.
Now you can enter the hideout and loot the treasure to obtain the Trans-Accelerator Blaser Key Part and upgrade your Power Pulse mode with the final Maximum Charge.
