A complete catalog of all Outfits in Star Wars Outlaws. A gunslinger, a thief, a brawler, or a survivor, you can make Kay look cool while also supporting and boosting your preferred playstyle.
What are Outfits in Star Wars Outlaws
Star Wars Outlaws’s Loadouts tab has three slots for clothing gear pieces. All pieces of clothing modify your appearance and are part of a full set. Over half of them have a Set Bonus, which gives you an additional effect for wearing all 3 pieces of the same set.
Each piece of clothing falls into one of three quality tiers that determines how much of an impact it will have in combat.
Tier | Number of Buff Effects | Set Bonus? |
---|---|---|
Cosmetic | 0 | No |
Standard | 1 | No |
Superior | 2 | Yes |
Each quality tier is strictly better than the one above it. The Superior version only recolors the outfit and reuses the buff effect on the Standard version. Outfit pieces within a given tier are balanced to provide roughly equivalent buffs. Those that provide the same Set Bonus synergize strongly with each other and allow you to specialize your playstyle around a specific element of gameplay, like stealth or explosives.
You can find outfit gear pieces as loot from chests, purchase them from vendors, receive them as mission rewards, or for fully maxing out your reputation with a Syndicate. All of the sets you obtain as individual pieces from chests and vendors come in 2 variants with different buffs and colors but contribute to the same Set Bonus, if applicable.
You can replace the visual appearance of any outfit item with another one. This feature is commonly known as transmog, though it’s only referred to as Appearance in Star Wars Outlaws. This game doesn’t allow you any specific modifications beyond the simple swap of one item’s appearance with another.
Each Outfit listed in the catalogs below has its own dedicated guide with high-quality preview images from front and back as well as detailed instructions how and where to get all individual items – jacket, belt and pants.
We also provide recommendations for best pairing with Charms for optimized builds and what other cosmetics match well for a complete ensemble.

Cosmetic Outfits
Apart from Kay’s default clothes, there are three full purely cosmetic outfits granted for pre-ordering and/or for purchasing the most expensive Ultimate Edition of Star Wars Outlaws.
Additional cosmetic outfits are available for stand-alone purchase or as part of the Season Pass. The Hunter’s Legacy outfit is modeled after the iconic bounty hunter Boba Fett, the Cartel Ronin outfit draws inspiration from the Japanese culture, and the Forest Commando pack offers you a chance to look like Princess Leia on Endor.
Stealth-Oriented Outfits and the Thief Sets
These outfits all improve your ability to be stealthy. Guards are less likely to notice you, and your stealth tools, like the Smoke Bomb and Stun Shot will be available far more often.
However, you’ll have a harder time if a firefight breaks out as your survivability is more limited and reliant on stealth takedowns, and you’re less effective with your blaster and explosives.
Blaster-Focused Outfits and the Gunslinger Sets
These outfits improve your capabilities with your blaster pistol. Individual shots aren’t typically stronger, but you’ll be able to shoot for longer periods often thanks to improved cooling and Adrenaline buildup.
That said, you are more reliant on Adrenaline Rush to take down larger groups of enemies, as it’s harder to sneak past them, and you can’t rely on explosives to the same degree
Close-Quarters Combat Outfits and the Ruffian Sets
These sets offer less of a cohesive playstyle than the others but remain bound together by improving the effectiveness and usability of grenades and pick-up weapons. You’ll also have some substantial damage reduction, so you won’t have to worry if you get caught in the blast of your explosives or be as cautious about fist fights.
Keep in mind that while you can be an incredibly capable fighter, the playstyle enhanced by the Ruffian and Boonta Brawler Outfits is chaotic and imprecise, and while you do have some damage reduction, you aren’t immortal.
Tanky Outfits and the Survivalist Sets
These outfits eschew damage output for survivability. You won’t be able to defeat enemies as quickly as you can with the other sets, but you’ll definitely win the battle of attrition thanks to significant damage reduction and vastly superior health regeneration.
These sets are great if you want to minimize the complexity of the game, but combat will take longer, and you’ll have to rely on that survivability to get you through some of the tougher situations.
Unique Outfits
These Outfits don’t belong to a tiered progression in quality like the others because they are each obtained in a special way.
The Scoundrel set is an all-rounder, while the Outlaw and Disruptor sets are hyperspecialized in Adrenaline and Ion damage, respectively. The Gambler outfit is specifically used for playing Sabacc, it has no value in combat scenarios.
Kay’s Default Clothes
The two versions shown below are the same outfit. When you start the game, Kay is wearing just a shirt. You pick up the Jacket shortly after the start of the game and you keep the shirt as an alternative.
When you wear the jacket, you can still see the same shirt underneath. Neither of these items provide stats or perks. They are purely for cosmetic purposes.
You can use them to change the appearance of other, more valuable, gear you find later in the game. This is done via the simple transmog feature that allows you replace the visual looks of one outfit item with another item you own.
