Should you give the weapons to Ashiga or Hutts: Star Wars Outlaws Gunrunner Quest Walkthrough

Siow by Siow|

This guide will show you how to complete the Star Wars Outlaws side quest, Gunrunner and what is the outcome of the decision you have to make at the end – give the weapons to the Ashiga Clan or return them to the Hutts.

How to get the Gunrunner Side Quest

The Gunrunner side quest becomes available after beating the story mission, The Safecracker. After completing the safecracker, upgrade your blaster with the Power modification during The Safecracker’s subsequent quest, Gunsmith.

When you complete both of these story quests, you’ll get a call from the lone myrmitrix asking you to complete a job for the Ashiga Clan.

Meeting the Lone Myrmitrix

Travel to Tatooine and go to Mos Eisley. You’ll get to your destination more quickly if you go through the south end of Mos Eisley. She will be inside a building guarded by a single Ashiga guard.

Talk to the myrmitrix inside and she’ll inform you that she needs you to steal weapons from the Hutts for the Ashiga Clan.

You must enter the Hutt District in Mos Eisley to find a computer with sales records to learn the location of the weapons. Once you accomplish this, you can track down and take the weapons.

Access the Hutt Cartel’s Sales Records

This will be easy or tricky depending on your reputation with the Hutt Cartel. We’ll start off with the tricky method assuming you have poor or worse reputation with the Hutts.

Sneaking into the Mos Eisley Hutt District

There are two entrances to the Hutt District on Mos Eisley, go to the unguarded south entrance. Send Nix to push a button above you that will deploy a ladder.

Climb up the ladder and jump down into the Hutt District. To the west, you’ll see a path that leads to a landing bay, guarded by a single guard at the entrance.

Knock out the guard and head forward carefully. There will be a Gamorrean Guard near a locked door ahead of you. Knock him out with the Electro-Shock Prod or distract him while you unlock the door.

Once you’re inside, close the door behind you and you’ll find the computer with the sales records. Use it to find the location of the weapons stash.

Walking into the Hutt District

If you have good or excellent reputation with the Hutts, accessing the records is far easier. Walk through the north entrance of the Hutt District and go inside the main building.

Stick to the right wall within the main building and you’ll run into a vent. Go inside and when you’re out, make a left and you’ll access the sales records computer.

Leaving the Mos Eisley Hutt District

If you want to get some large chests on your way out, go south of the sales records computer and go through the big red door. Otherwise, leave the way you came in.

There will be a Gamorrean Guard outside the door. Knock him out with your Electro-shock Prod if you have it. If you don’t have it, use Nix to distract him to slip by.

Aside from the Gamorrean guard upstairs, there are two regular guards downstairs. One of them is guarding a large chest behind the shuttle while the other patrols the landing bay.

Sneak down and knock out the guards. Loot the large chest to pick up the Boonta Brawler Fuel. This will make the Trailblazer’s engines glow magenta.

Lockpick the small door to the south to exit the restricted area. When you run into a ray shield, you can slice into a nearby data port with an advanced slicing kit to bring the shield down.

Inside Sosappa’s Stash is a chest that contains the Arda Explorer Speeder Paint Job. You can also find a Kowaikan Monkey Lizard in the room but they don’t really do anything.

Follow the path out and when you’re back on the dirt roads, summon your speeder and reach the destination pointed out by your compass marker.

Intercept the Weapons Shipment

When you reach the large building, look for a shipment crate on the side of the building you can climb up. Jump over the wall and you’ll be inside only to be greeted by a massacre.

Go through the hole in the wall past the rubble and corpses. Inside you’ll find the weapon shipment, or at least some empty weapon cases.

After you interact with the shipment, 4 Hutt Cartel Guards will start investigating the area outside. Sneak out or take them out quietly to not lose reputation with the Hutts. Use the door to the north in the patio to get outside.

Following the Scent with Nix

This next part is very straightforward as you just need to follow Nix as he follows the scent. Nix may bug out here and stop following the scent. If that happens, just reload the most recent checkpoint and try again.

When you reach the dewbacks, talk to the dewback herder to have him clear the road. Once Nix is no longer trembling in fear of the dewbacks, he’ll start following the trail again.

When you reach the dead end guarded by two stormtroopers, have Nix pull a level that’ll open a nearby door. Keep following Nix and you’ll reach the Hutt Cartel droid.

While the Hutt droid is here, the weapons are not. Go down the stairs to your left and lockpick the door to enter a landing bay.

The Landing Bay

The Landing Bay is full of Zerek Besh agents, so taking them on through combat can be tough if you’re not prepared.

You can take them all out quietly or blast them all away. I recommend a “half and half” approch by sneaking around the bay counter-clockwise until you run into some Z-6 Rotary Cannons.

From there, you mop up the mess and get to the weapons. Keep in mind you can only use the Z-6 Cannons if you have heavy weapons training from the Mercenary Expert.

Should you give the weapons to Ashiga or Hutts

When the dust settles, go to the weapons shipment. You can give the weaons to the Ashiga Clan or return them to the Hutts.

  • Giving the weapons to the Ashiga Clan will greatly increase your reputation with them, but greatly reduces your reputation with the Hutts.
  • Giving the weapons back to the Hutts doubles your payment to 2,000 credits, greatly increases your reputation with the Hutts, but greatly lowers your reputation with the Ashiga Clan.
