Should you save the Archive for Mayiu or Delete it: Star Wars Outlaws Hidden Archive Walkthrough

Siow by Siow|

This guide will show you how to complete the Star Wars Outlaws side quest, Hidden Archive. An Ashiga Clan myrmitrix needs Kay to find a hidden Crimson Dawn archive in outer space.

How to get the Hidden Archive Side Quest

Hidden Archive becomes available after completing the Kijimi story mission, Breakout. An Ashiga Clan myrmitrix named Mayiu will call Kay to offer a job.

You can find Mayiu on the south side of Kijimi City, right outside the Ashiga Clan stronghold. She’ll be accompanied by another myrmitrix standing behind her.

Talk to her and you’ll learn that this is her first job, so she’s a bit nervous. She needs Kay to dig up details as to where in space a Crimson Dawn archive is so it can be turned in to Ashiga Queen.

After talking to her, you’ll need to investigate the Thieves’ Quarter and look for Imperials to spy on. The Empire is also after the archive, so a confrontation with the Empire is inevitable.

The Thieves’ Quarter and the Empire

A group of stormtroopers can be found in the northeast corner of the Thieves’ Quarter. Listen in on them and you’ll learn that their captain is investigating the Crimson Dawn district.

If you look at the northeast wall near the stormtroopers, you’ll see a small hole you can crawl through. Go under here and stay crouched if you’re not on good terms with Crimson Dawn.

There will be two Crimson Dawn agents ahead, one of which is looking over the body of the stormtrooper captain. Send Nix to steal his datapad to learn the location of the Crimson Dawn archive.

The datapad will tell you that the archive is hidden within Kijimi’s nebula. Return to the Trailblazer and launch into Kijimi’s orbit.

Searching the Nebula for the Hidden Archive

Fly through the clear stretch of the nebula until a path on your right is available. Go right and you’ll reach the hidden archive. There’s a problem though, the archive is protected by a shield.

Three quest markers will appear that’ll lead you to the generators powering the shields. When you blow up one of them, you’ll be attacked by pirates.

Be mindful of your shots as there are TIE fighters in the area. You might hit one of them and cause the whole TIE squad to attack you.

Once all generators are down, go to the archive and retrieve the info. You are then presented with a choice you must make.

Should you save the Archive for Mayiu or Delete the Archive

The Crimson Dawn archive had an alarm that alerted them that someone was downloading the contents. You’ll be contacted by Dart Subterra (who you might remember from the Passenger side quest) and he’ll ask you to delete the data.

Should you save the Archive for Mayiu or Delete the Archive
  • Saving the archive for Mayiu will grant you 1,000 credits, greatly increase your reputation with the Ashiga Clan, but greatly reduce your reputation with Crimson Dawn.
  • Deleting the archive will grant you 2,000 credits, greatly increase your reputation with Crimson Dawn, but greatly reduce your reputation with the Ashiga Clan.

There is no definitive right or wrong answer here, choose whichever one you want to gain reputation with or delete the archive if you’re just in it for the credits.

When you make your choice, you’ll become wanted by the Empire. Pick a direction and book it out of the nebula. Once you get far out enough, the Empire will abandon their search for you.

Should you save the Archive for Mayiu or Delete the Archive - result

Mayiu will contact you once you’re free from the Imperials. After you’re done talking, the quest will end and you’ll get your rewards.
