Should you take Tizlak to Gorak or Take his Bribe: Star Wars Outlaws The Traitor Quest Walkthrough

Siow by Siow|

This guide will show you how to complete the Star Wars Outlaws side quest, The Traitor. Someone within the Pyke Syndicate is plotting to remove Gorak from power, Kay must find out who and bring them to the Pykes.

How to get The Traitor Side Quest

The Traitor side quest becomes available after you complete the story mission, False Flag. You’ll get a call from Gorak where he’ll say he wants to talk to Kay in person.

To meet up with Gorak, you’ll need to go to Makal’s Gambling Parlor in Mirogana City on Toshara. The lift will be through the large door in the back of the parlor.

When you go in the elevator, a cutscene with Gorak will start. He’ll let Kay know that Governor Thorden and Crimson Dawn are trying to remove him from power, and someone within the Pyke Syndicate is working with them.

Kay will need to figure out who the traitor is and bring them to him. After discussing the mission details, he’ll want something of his returned to him.

Should you return Gorak’s Ring

During the events of the story quest Underworld, Kay was removed from Gorak’s VIP room after bringing up Waka. Nix would then steal Gorak’s ring and present it to Kay.

Gorak wants you to return his ring after telling you about the traitor. The question is, should you give him the ring or sell it for some credits?

Should you return Gorak's Ring - Choice and Concequences
  • Returning Gorak’s ring will give you a small amount of reputation with the Pyke Syndicate.
  • Keeping the ring will not affect your reputation with the Pykes, and you can sell it for 500 credits.

If you’re doing this quest early on in the game, I recommend keeping and selling the ring. Since there’s no consequence and you don’t gain much reputation from returning it. The early credits are very nice to have for ship or speeder upgrades.

Searching the Market for Clues

You’ll need to search the Mirogana Market for clues as to where the traitor might be. Look for the Pantoran woman near a bar and listen in on a nearby seat.

When she’s done talking on her comlink, she’ll walk away. Send Nix to pickpocket her to steal her comlink. Go back to the Trailblazer and go into orbit.

Searching Renpalli Station

Once you’re in Toshara’s orbit, follow your quest marker to Renpalli Station. When you step inside, Kay will mutter to herself that she should check if the bartender has seen anything.

Talking to the bartender is useless, but I will tell you what can happen if you do talk to her. She will tell you that she saw a Pyke with two bodyguards go into the lower levels of the station and that only employees can go down there.

She can give you her keycard to the lower level, but you’ll need to bribe her with 150 credits. This is useless as the door can be unlocked with your data spike and no one will care if they see you do it.

Searching Renpalli Station

Instead, you should just go through the door to the right of the elevator that leads into the bar. You can then follow the halls to find two Crimson Dawn guards and the Pyke traitor, Tizlak Sharr.

Walk inside the room past the two Crimson Dawn guards and look for a large chest to east wall. Open it for some upgrade materials, then go into the next room to meet up with Tizlak.

Should you take Tizlak to Gorak or Take his Bribe

Tizlak begs that you don’t turn him in to the Pyke Syndicate. You are then presented with a choice, you can take him to Gorak or take his bribe to leave him with Crimson Dawn.

Should you take Tizlak to Gorak or Take his Bribe

Taking Tizlak to Gorak

If you decide to honor your deal, Tizlak will call for help and you’ll need to take out the two Crimson Dawn guards outside the hall. Once they’re defeated, escort Tizlak back to your ship.

Taking Tizlak to Gorak

When you leave Renpalli Station, you’ll be attacked by a squad of Crimson Dawn fighters. Defeat the fighters then return to Mirogana.

When you make it planetside, travel to Makal’s Gambling Parlor and enter the VIP room to meet with Gorak.

He’ll send someone to pick up Tizlak and you’ll get your pay of 500 credits and gain a lot of reputation with the Pykes. You will lose a lot of reputation with Crimson Dawn by turning in Tizlak.

On the bright side, you can see a Pyke enforcer escorting Tizlak to Gorak’s room as you leave the gambling parlor. The moral of the story? Don’t ask a mob boss for trips to casino cruise ships.

Taking Tizlak’s Bribe

Tizlak is offering double what Gorak is paying if you leave him with the Crimson Dawn. If you take his bribe of 500 credits, you’ll leave Renpalli Station without any hassle from those two Crimson Dawn guards in the hall.

Return to the Trailblazer and take off. When you exit the station, you’ll be attacked by a small squad of pirates that Tizlak hired. Defeat the pirates and return to Mirogana.

Taking Tizlak's Bribe

Return to Makal’s Gambling Parlor and talk to Gorak. Since you only got half the job done, you’ll get half the pay of 250 credits.

You’ll also lose a lot of reputation with the Pykes while gaining a lot of reputation with Crimson Dawn by taking Tizlak’s bribe.

Which Choice Should You Make

If you’re doing this early on in the game, then this really depends on whether you got on the bad side with the Pykes or Crimson Dawn previously.

Choose the option that’ll increase a bad reputation, even if it means turning a good reputation poor. You don’t want too many enemies early on in the game. There’s no need to be on a “shoot on sight” list just yet.

Which Choice Should You Make

If you don’t care about reputation and only want credits, the most profitable option is to sell Gorak’s ring and take Tizlak’s Bribe. You’ll get a total of 1,250 credits from the quest.

Just remember that if you end up getting hunted down by either syndicate because you got on their bad side, Waka isn’t paying for your funeral.
