There are ten Smuggler Cache Locations on Akiva in Star Wars Outlaws and we will show you how to reach and loot each one of them!
What are Smuggler Caches
Smuggler Caches are half-buried treasure chests. They are available on Toshara, Tatooine and Akiva. The locations are not marked on the map. Some of them have intel quests that will lead you to them.
Smuggler Caches never contain any major loot. They offer upgrade materials, credits, and valuables to sell. The treasures do count towards the total number of undiscovered treasures, though.
If you are a completionist or just want to have some treasure hunting fun, you will definitely want to find all of them.
The list below contains all Smuggler Caches on Akiva, chronologically ordered, based on the number included in the title of the chest as you reveal its location. You can track and find them in any order you wish.
How to track Smuggler Caches
The in-game mechanic that allows you to track and search for Smuggler Caches, is the Holotracker tool. You obtain this on Toshara, on the Trailblazer.
The first Holotracker quest is an introduction to Jet Kordo’s Legacy Vaults. It also teaches you how to use the Holotracker to find Smuggler Caches.

Smuggler Cache 02 Location
The cache is on the western border of the Mount Selasa area on Akiva, near the shores of Lake Amari, south of the Research Station 57. Find the grapple hook and start climbing.
After a short climb with the help of some conveniently placed metal bars, you will see another branch that you can grapple to. Reel in a bit higher to be able to reach the edge of the cliff on the other side of the gap.
The cache is on this platform. You can use the grapple hook next to it to get back down to the ground.
Smuggler Cache 32 Location
The smuggler cache is in Myrra Valley, southeast of the Imperial Tower. From the “roundabout”, turn south and the holotracker will soon start beeping. The cache is on the ground level, in the shadow of the mountain.
Smuggler Cache 34 Location
A little further west fro mthe previous smuggler cache, past the Imperial tower, before the bridge, on th south side, you will find the smuggler cache 34.
You will have to climb up a little bit to reach it. Right before the bridge, turn south and hop onto the rocks. From there use your grapple hook to get to the higher platform where the treasure is waiting for you.
Smuggler Cache 36 Location
This smuggler cache is next to the Tree Tunnel landmark west of the Pyke Crystal Mine in the Stormhollow region. You can access it from the water. you will need the Hydrorepulsor installed onto your speeder from The Mechanit Expert.
Hook to the branch above you on the edge of the river to get up to the higher level. A couple of quick climbs later you will find the chest in the ground.
Smuggler Cache 38 Location
In the Great Basin, south of Excavatoin Site 12 and west of Hutt Poaching Outpost, on a small island, you can find smuggler cache 38. If you get to the island from the north side, go around on the right of the brick wall. Don’t climb up the stairs, instead follow the path going round on the right.
Climb onto the next ledge and on your left, there will be a branch you can grapple hook onto to get up on the higher level.
From there just follow the path. You will see another edge you can use your hook to climb and up. Keep climbing up the stone steps of the ruin until you reach the top where you will see a small camp.
Blow up the wall using the Power Module of your blaster. Behind it, there is a branch you can use to climb down. As soon as you get down, you will stumble onto the half-burried cache.
Smuggler Cache 51 Location
Things rarely are as easy to acces as this one. The smuggler cache is on the ground level, just south of the main road leading west from the Sashin settlement, in Karaba Foothills region.
Smuggler Cache 70 Location
This one is located on the eastern shores of Lake Amari – on the Witch’s Fingers cliff, in the The Great Basin region. It’s southwest of the fast travel point in the Mount Selasa region.
Go to the rigth of the small camp. Use your grapple hook to get to the ledge above. At the end of a short trail, on your left, there is a wall segment you must climb. When you reach the end, drop down to the lower ledge to reach the smuggler cache.
Smuggler Cache 72 Location
You may have aquired intel about this Pyke Bribe treasure chest. Regardless if you have or not, to get to the chest you have to visit southernmost part of the Stormhollow.
The cache is on an island south of the Pyke Crystal Mine. This is Pyke territory. You can reach the island with speeder equipped with the Hydrorepulsor, which you unlock by completing The Mechanic quest.
Get to the flat area on the east side of the island where you can jump off your speeder safely and follow the holotracker’s beeping and the straight path ahead.
At the end of the trail, climb up the rock using the metal bars and then the climable wall segment.
When you are at the top, use your hook to get over the gap to the next ledge. Two short climbs later, you will finally reach the cache.
Smuggler Cache 83 Location
As you walk the main road going north (as shown on the image below), north of the Hutt Poaching Station and a short way south of Smuggler Cache 70, you will find a bent tree on the east side of the road. Behind it, in the shadow of the mountain, lies smuggler cache 83,
Smuggler Cache 87 Location
Near the border between Myrra Valley, but actually located inside the Karaba Foothills region, to the left from the giant weird pillar ruin, you will find smuggler cache 87.
As you cross the stone “bridge” over the river and go on the north side of the river, turn northwest and walk in a straight line. A few meters later you will reach the ledge. Drop down to find the cache.
Nearby is the marked stone for the Overgrown Vault, one of wo of Jet Kordo’s Vaults on Akiva. The marked stone is to the right after you cross the stone “bridge”.
