Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin are cosmetic bundles available in Star Wars Outlaws as part of the Season Pass or as separate purchase. Each of them contain a new unique outfit for Kay and a bunch of cosmetics for your ship and speeder as well as accessories for Nix.

You can purchase the Cosmetic Bundles separately or as part of the Season Pass on every platform’s store where the game is available. This includes Steam, Ubisoft Connect, PlayStation and Xbox. The retail prices are as follows:

  • The Wild Card DLC costs $14.99 USD
  • The Season Pass costs $39.99 USD
  • Hunter’s Legacy Cosmetic Bundle costs $8.99 USD
  • Cartel Ronin Cosmetic Bundle costs $8.99 USD

I imagine you are most interested in the new cosmetic outfits from these bundles. So, before we begin, a quick reminder of how outfits work in Star Wars Outlaws. Each piece of clothing falls into one of three quality tiers that determines how much of an impact it will have in combat.

Hunter’s Legacy Cosmetic Bundle Overview

In the Hunter’s Legacy bundle, you will find an outfit comprised of the three usual clothing items – jacket, belt and legs, a Nix accessory and ship and speeder accessory. None of them have any stats as they are cosmetic-only items granted for purchasing the DLC.

Everything in this bundle screams Bounty Hunter. And more precisely, Boba Fett. The Speeder Trophy is literally Boba’s helmet. How would Kay explain coming into possession of such an artefact, we will probably never know.

Cartel Ronin Cosmetic Bundle Overview

In the Cartel Ronin bundle, you will find an outfit comprised of the three usual clothing items – jacket, belt and legs, a Nix accessory and ship and speeder accessory. None of them have any stats as they are cosmetic-only items granted for purchasing the DLC.

The outfit is heavily inspired by the Japanese culture, hence the name. The speeder paint job featured bright right accents and so do Nix’s wrappings. Try and convince me that the Merqaal Carving is not the cutest of all Vehicle Trinkets in the game.

How to get the Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin Cosmetic Items

After you update to 1.4, the first time after you go to the Trailblazer, ND-5 will give you the familiar announcement -“You’ve got some items that have arrived for you, Kay.”

Open the Delivery Crate and enjoy a ton of new cosmetics for you, your best buddy, your ship and speeder.

After you have obtained the bundles, you will find the new cosmetic items in the specific sections in the menu. To check out the Outfits, open the Inventory and navigate to Loadout. You can change the jacket, belt and shirt from there.

Reminder: these are cosmetic items; they do not provide any stats or additional value in combat beyond the “cool looks”. They work in a similar way as Rogue Infiltrator, Sabaac Shark and Kessel Runner cosmetic outfits from the pre-order and Ultimate edition.

Use the built-in Transmog feature (called simply “Appearance” in this game) to change the appearance of any of Kay’s Outfits that you have earned through gameplay to achieve the new look, while retaining your optimal stats for your build. You cannot modify anything else with this system, just replace one item’s appearance with another item’s appearance.

To find and use the Nix accessory, use the Nix Accessory slot at the bottom right of the Loadout screen. Clicking on the slot, will open up all Nix Accessories you have previously earned, including the two new ones.

To use the new Speeder and Ship cosmetic items, navigate from the main menu to the first tab “Vehicles”. You can select from there which vehicle you want to modify.

For each of the categories, you have two subcategories – Upgrades and Appearance. The cosmetic items from the two new bundles will be available in the Appearance category.

Are the Cosmetic Bundles worth your money

Star Wars Outlaws has a lot of outfits you can earn through gameplay. If you have obtained all of them and are already bored of need a fresh new look, the Hunter’s Legacy outfit looks amazing. I find the short cape very entertaining to watch as it flaps around while Kay is running.

I particularly like the bright red accent in the Cartel Ronin Speeder Paint Job. Nix is cute in anything. The utility belt or the red tail wrappings will not make much of a difference. If you have spent the time to upgrade the Trailblazer and conquer space, the Hunter’s Legacy Ship Finish. It has the Mythosaur sigil on the back side of the shi[;s hangar door, so you will be staring at it every time you go to space. Awesome.

The price of $9 USD is a lot for a bunch of cosmetics if you ask me. If you purchase the Season Pass, the two bundles are included. Now, this is a much more lucrative deal. You get to play two new story packs. And you can start the Wild Card story today.
