Star Wars Visions returns to its roots with multiple anime studios working on the third edition that is set to release in 2025!
Originally, we got nine shorts made by seven Japanese studios infusing their own style into Star Wars stories. The result was a mesmerizing compilation of brief but extremely fun and compelling shorts.
Volume 2 was made by studios from South Africa, the United States, Chile, France, Japan, India, UK, Ireland, Spain and South Korea. The result was something very different but equally interesting with something good for all tastes.
At the 2024 Disney APAC Content Showcase, the company officially confirmed that Star Wars: Visions will debut a third volume in 2025. No specific release date is available at this time.
For the third volume, Japanese anime studios are once again taking on the challenge to create new Star Wars-inspired stories combined with the artistic approach of their respective studios. These are the studios involved in Star Wars Visions Volume 3.

As you might have noticed, there are some heavy hitters on the roster. I have enjoyed Visions because of how different they are to what we are used to while also retaining the familiarity element. I can’t wait to see what they have for us!
