How to navigate the Chasuriyama Kofun in Tamba and get the Scarlet Fate Legendary Tanto for Naoe in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How to access the Chasuriyama Kofun

Chasuriyama Kofun is located in Chasuriyama, Tamba. It is west of Fukuchiyama and northeast of Takeda Castle, This Kofun requires Naoe’s skill with the hook, so Yasuke cannot explore it.

Enter the underground tomb . When you arrive in the first room, you will see a sarcophagus in the middle. Walk past it and squeeze through the crack in the wall on the other side.

Walk up to the ledge and make a leap of fate down. You will land in a pool of water. There are no treasures underwater in this Kofun, don’t waste your time checking for any. I did.

Hop onto the stone platform in the middle and from there, use your hook to get to the other side.

At the other end of the next tunnel, you will have to make another double jump through a flat stone formation protruding from a water pool. Keep following the tunnel and prone to crawl through the small hole in the wall.

Stand on the wooden scaffolding and use your hook to get to the other side. Then climb and move to the left following the scratches on the stone wall.

If you focus when you drop down, you will see a gold treasure dot on your right. Make a short detour to pick up a treasure chest in the adjacent alcove.

Use the hook to get past the large water pool and land on the other side. Follow the path leading southwest. In the next room with a water pond, you can drop down and swim or use the ropes to make it to the other end faster.

Follow the tunnel and check with Focus for the gold dot. When you see it, look for a small hole in the wall on the right. Crawl through it and pick up this treasure chest, then return to the path.

Squeeze through the narrow crack, then hop onto the flat stones, and climb the tall one and jump to the other side.

When you arrive to the ledge, look again to your right. This is yet another short detour to pick up the last optional treasure chest. Then return to the scaffolding and use your hook to get across the water. You will have to make two large jumps.

In a brightly lit area in front of you, there is a red box, much like the one Naoe lost and is trying to get back from The Shinbakufu. This one, however, belongs to someone else and you cannot pick it up.

This box is a quest item. It is part of Yagoro’s quest line after you recruit him for The League. If you are exploring this Kofun without the quest, just walk past the box. If you are on the quest, you will have a cutscene here.

Your path is to the left – through another crack in the wall. Then, a climbing segment. After it, keep following the narrow tunnel as it leads you up and toward the final chest, which contains the Legendary Tanto Scarlet Fate. This also completes the Kofun exploration and rewards you with a Knowledge Point.
