All Legendary Armors in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

A list of all Legendary Armors for Naoe and Yasuke in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We will show you what boosts and engravings they have, a visual preview, and where to find them all.

This is a full collection of all 11 sets for Yasuke and 11 sets for Naoe, 22 in total. There are 20 sets you can earn from the game by looting chests and completing story quests. Each character gets an additional armor set from the Shadows Projects.

How Armor works in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Armor Sets in Assassin’s Creed Shadows consists of two gear pieces – an armor and a head piece. For Naoe, the armor pieces are light, for Yasuke – heavy. Naoe’s head piece is called Headgear and those are often various masks or hoods. Yasuke is wearing Helmets or Bands.

Character-specific inventory

Each character has their own unique selection of gear and you cannot mix and match them between Naoe and Yasuke.

Rarity Tiers

Each armor piece above common grade always comes with an engraving. The quality of items is defined by their level, which you can upgrade (costs resources) and rarity tier, which you cannot change.

The game makes an effort to match the gear you loot to your current level. The higher your level, the higher tier rarity items you will find. The top tier is Legendary.

What are Legendary Sets

Legendary sets are special piece of gear available only from a specific location or source, not as a random drop. They always come with a unique Legendary Engraving. Legendary armor parts usually have higher stats than the lower tiers, if compared at the same level.

How to change an item’s appearance

You can use the built-in Transmog feature to alter the appearance of any gear piece and replace it or parts of it with something else you own. This allows you to keep using lower-level gear that you outgrow quickly but love its appearance.

Naoe Headgear

Naoe’s headgear items are in the shape of hoods, masks, hats and headbands. Some of the masks are theatrical types and others are more typical for a shinobi, covering her mouth and nose.

Cerulean Guise Hood

You can earn the Cerulean Guise Hood by progressing through The Legacy Project. To progress through the Projects, complete the quests from the Animus circle on your objectives board.

Hidden Servant Hat

You can get the Hidden Servant Hat from the legendary chest in the upper floor of the main building of Takeda Castle, in western Tamba. This is one of the largest Castles in the game with 5 Samurai Daisho on its territory.

Last Dance of the Onryo Mask

You can loot Last Dance of the Onryo Mask from a legendary treasure chest at the back of the Yaobikuni Cave, in Onyu Pass, in Wakasa.

Legendary Onna-musha Headband

You will find Legendary Onna-musha Headband inside the legendary chest at Koriyama Castle, in Yamato. This castle has 4 Samurai Daisho guarding it.

The chest is on the second-from-top floor in the tenshu, the main and tallest building in the castle.

Mamushi Snake Hood

You can loot the hood from the legendary chest at Omizo Castle. It’s located in Ado River Valley, in Omi. The castle is on the western shores of Lake Biwa. It has 2 Samurai Daisho.

Master Assassin Hood

The entire Master Assassin Set is a reward for completing the main story of the game. This means that you have to finish The Shinbakufu story arc, which is the core element that binds everything in the game together, Naoe’s Journey, Yasuke’s Journey and Junjiro’s quest line.

Noh Masterstroke Mask

You can loot the Noh Masterstroke Mask from a legendary chest at the base of the Mount Koya Viewpoint, in Kinokawa Valley, in Kii.

Peasant Hat

You can get the Peasant Hat from the legendary chest at Takatsuki Castle, in Izumi Settsu. This castle has 3 Samurai Daisho.

Swift Shinobi Hood

You can loot the hood from the legendary treasure chest at Kunimiyama Fort, located in Mibuno Vale, in Iga. There is only one Samurai Daisho you have to defeat to unlock the chest.

Tools Master Mask

You will find the Tools Master Mask in the legendary treasure chest at Amagasaki Castle, in Izumi Settsu.

Yurei-Walker Hood

You can loot the hood from the legendary treasure chest at Yamazaki Castle located in Yamashiro. This is a wealthy castle with 5 Samurai Daisho within its walls.

Naoe Armor

Naoe’s armor pieces usually are robes or light armor. Most of her sets are styled to make look like the typical Shinobi, a classic assassin dwelling in the shadows.

Cerulean Guise Kosode

The Cerulean Guise Kosode is the final reward of the The Legacy Project.

Hidden Servant Kosode

You can loot the Hidden Servant Kosode from the treasure chest in Kameyama Castle, in Tamba. Being one of the largest castles ever, it has 5 Samurai Daisho within its walls.

Last Dance of the Onryo Robe

You will find this robe in a legendary chest in the easternmost part of the Shattered Coast, in Wakasa. It’s behind the Grave of the Three Emperors shrine.

Legendary Onna-musha Kosode

You can loot this Kosode from the legendary chest in the tenshu of Uda Matsuyama Castle, in Yamato. To unlock it, you have to defeat the 4 Samurai Daisho in the area.

Mamushi Snake Robes

You can loot the Mamushi Snake Robes from the legendary chest inside the main (tallest) building of Nagahama Castle. The Castle is sitting on the shores of Lake Biwa in northeastern Omi.

There are 4 Samurai Daisho roaming the area you need to take out before you unlock the chest. The entire complex consists of many small artificial islands connected with bridges.

Master Assassin Gear

The Master Assassin Hood and Gear are a reward for wrapping up the main story lines in the game. This means that you have to finish The Shinbakufu story arc, which is the core element that binds everything in the game together, Naoe’s Journey, Yasuke’s Journey and Junjiro’s quest line.

Noh Masterstroke Costume

The Costume is available from a treasure chest high up in the wild rocky terrain in the northeastern parts of Sezar Oni Shores sub-region, in Kii.

The legendary treasure chest is in a small cave. You will have to do some climbing. Naoe is definitely better at this, so you should bring her for the treck.

The easiest way to get to the starting location would be to get to the top of the mountain, then head down. There is a waterfall and long stone steps leading to a broken wooden bridge.

Stand on the north side of the broken wooden bridge, right where the wooden remains are propped onto the stone wall. Jump up and grab the edge, then slide left and up. Pull up and then climb the scratched surface of the rocks to the ledge above.

Peasant Clothes

The Peasant Clothes can only be obtained after defeating all the Samurai Daisho in the Osaka Castle.

Tools Master Gear

The Tools Master Gear is in the legendary treasure chest in Katano Castle, in Izumi Settsu. It’s at the highest floor or the main building. You have to take out the Samurai Daisho first.

Swift Shinobi Robes

You can loot the armor piece from the legendary treasure chest at Hijiyama Fort, in Iga. There are 2 Samurai Daisho inside the fort that you have to take out. The chest is in the building at the southwest end.

Yurei-Walker Robes

You can loot the Yurei-Walker Robes from the legendary chest in Shoryuji Castle, in Yamashiro. The chest is on the second-fron-top floor of the main tenshu building. To unlock the chest, you need to take out the 3 Samurai Daisho in this castle.

There are four stockpiles on the ground floor of the tenshu. If you go with Yasuke andyou are not in a hurry, don’ forget your scouts.

Yasuke Helmets

Yasuke is wearing mostly Samurai helmets with the occasional hat or mask. Being the brawler type melee fighter, he relies on heavy armor. Some of his sets do resemble more stylish and elegant attire worn by Samurai out of combat.

Cerulean Guise Mask

You can earn the Cerulean Guise Mask by progressing through The Awakening Project.

Defense Master Headwrap

You will find the Defense Master Headwrap inside the legendary chest in the middle of Miki Castle, in Harima. This area is large and hosts 4 Samurai Daisho. It is also rich in resources and has no large tall buildings. It’s pretty open. A good territory for Yasuke to earn his new piece of gear.

Destroyer Samurai Helmet

You will earn the entire Destroyer Samurai set for killing Kimura Kei and completing the quest “Fighting for the Cause”, part of Yasuke’s journey and the Templar storyline. This is pretty late into the story and you will have to play quite a bit to get to it.

Elegant Samurai Hat

You can loot the hat from a large treasure chest in the Yama Camp. It’s located in Takatori, in Yamato. The location is southeast from Takatori Castle, in the forest. Ishibutai Kofun is not far to the southwest from the camp as well.

Extravagant Kabukimono Headgear

You can pick up the Extravagant Kabukimono Headgear from a legendary treasure chest behind the waterfall Narutaki Falls in The Silver Lands, in Tamba.

Helmet of the Legendary Samurai

You can loot Helmet of the Legendary Samurai from the legendary chest on the third floor of the main building at Tsuchibashi Fort, in Wakanoura Bay, in Kii. You have to first take out the 2 Samurai Daisho in the fort.

Kasa of the Legendary Ronin

You can loot this Kasa from the legendary chest in the main building of Fukuchiyama Castle, in Tamba. The Castle has 5 Samurai Daisho and plenty of resources to collect.

Mark of Control Helmet

This is the first reward of the Mnemosyne Project.

Master Archer Headband

You can loot the Master Archer headband from the legendary chest at Kanegasaki Castle, in Sotomo Gate, in Wakasa. It is a large castle with 4 Samurai Daisho, but is fairly linear to explore. The chest is on the middle plateau.

Protector’s Helmet

You can loot Protector’s Helmet from the legendary chest in the ruins of Hanazono Castle, in Genbu Highlands, in Yamashiro. The ruin has Samurai Daisho you need to defeat to unlock the chest.

Samurai Daimyo Helmet of Legend

You can loot the helmet from a legendary chest next to the waterfall at Nagusano Falls, in Mount Kasagata, in Harima.

Ship Captain’s Mask

You can loot this mask from the legendary chest in the main building of Azuchi Castle in Omi. The Oda Keep Viewpoint is right on top of that building, but you have to take out the 4 Samurai Daisho in the castle.

Yasuke Armor

Yasuke’s armor pieces usually resemble the armor of the Samurai. A few of them are a of a more elegant and luxurious type featuring primarily cloth with a lot less or even no armor parts at all.

Armor of the Legendary Samurai

You can loot this armor from the legendary chest at Akagi Fort, in Iseji Trails, in Kii. The fort has only 2 Samurai Daisho. The chest is out in the yard, in the area with the Jinmaku curtains.

Cerulean Guise Armor

You can earn the Cerulean Guise Armor by progressing through the Awakening Project.

Defense Master Clothing

You can loot the Defense Master Clothing from the legendary chest in Hemeji Castle, in southwestern Harima. There are 5 Samurai Daisho within the castle walls. The chest is in the keep.

Destroyer Samurai Armor

You will earn the entire Destroyer Samurai set for killing Kimura Kei and completing the quest “Fighting for the Cause”, part of Yasuke’s journey and the Templar storyline. This is pretty late into the story and you will have to play quite a bit to get to it.

Elegant Samurai Outfit

You can loot the Elegant Samurai Outfit from the large treasure chest in the Megalithic Vault Kofun. The Kofun is located north of Koriyama and west of Todaiji, in Yamato. You will easily recognize it once you approach the aream thanks to the artificial water pool surrounding the entrance. If you get the hat, you will have the full Elegant Samurai Set.

Extravagant Kabukimono Outfit

You can loot the Extravagant Kabukimono Outfit from a legendary chest on a small island on the northern edge of the map, north of Yura Fishing Village, in Fukuchiyama, in Tamba.

The island is like a volcano, the inner part is hollow, and you can climb up and in it. Or you can sneak through the narrow crack on the side.

Mark of Control Helmet

This armor is the 21st and last reward of the Mnemosyne Project.

Master Archer Outfit

You can loot the Master Archer Outfit from Tsuruga Castle, located in Sotomo Gate, in Wakasa. There are only 2 Samurai Daisho you have to take care of to unlock the chest.

Outfit of the Legendary Ronin

You can loot the Outfit of the Legendary Ronin from the legendary chest in Miyazu Castle in Tamba. There are 4 Samurai Daisho in the castle that you have to take out.

Protector’s Armor

You can loot Protector’s Armor from the legendary chest in Nijo Palace, located in Kyoto, in Yamashiro. There are 2 Samurai Daisho you have to take out before you can open the chest.

Samurai Daimyo Armor of Legend

You can find the Samurai Daimyo of Legend inside the legendary treasure chest at Kanki Castle in Harima. The castle has 2 Samurai Daisho you have to take out to unlock the chest.

Ship Captain’s Gear

You can loot Ship Captain’s Gear from the legendary chest on the third floor of the main building in Sakamoto Castle, in Omi. You have to find and take out 3 Samurai Daisho to unlock the chest.
