Desert Nomad Outfit for Kay
A quick reminder of how outfits work in Star Wars Outlaws. Each piece of clothing falls into one of three quality tiers that determines how much of an impact it will have in combat.
Tier | Number of Buff Effects | Set Bonus? |
---|---|---|
Cosmetic | 0 | No |
Standard | 1 | No |
Superior | 2 | Yes |
Kay’s outfit is comprised of three pieces: jacket, belt and legs. As cosmetic items, they do not have any perks attached to them. You should use Transmog to change an actual outfit to look like this one if you like its aesthetics.
The outfit features yellow-brownish colors. The material is mostly Bantha leather for the jacket, pants and boots.
Desert Nomad Nix Appearance
Sandstorm Ship Paint Finish
Desert Nomad Ship Fuel
Dune Sea Paint Job
The Dune Sea Paint job can be applied to Kay’s Speeder.
Survival Canisters
The Survival Canisters is a trophy for Kay’s Speeder.
Scout Canteen Trinket
The Scout Canteen Trinket can be displayed both on the Speeder as well as in the cockpit of the Trailblazer.
Is this pack worth it
The Desert Nomad outfit is cool and has a couple of special elements such as Kay’s pants and boots. Plus, it fits perfectly for any desert adventures.
The Desert Nomad pack’s retail price is cheaper than the previous two packs, which are currently discounted to the same price as the Desert Pack. I have a feeling they will permanently remain discounted.
For 9 bucks, this is not bad. Depending on your gamaplay, you may get the full benefit of everything, but if you are like me and have completed the game several times when it released and then a couple more times for each major patch to see the changes and improvements, you likely don’t have a big desire to go back and play the same content again.
The new story DLC A Pirate’s Fortune is ~3 hours long and spending an extra 9 dollars to make your character, companion and vehicles look different may not be worth the price.
I personally like a lot Kay’s outfit, but I’ve almost never changed the appearance of the Trailblazer and very rarely the one of my Speeder. So, the price of the bundle is a bit too high for just one outfit for Kay.
If you purchase the Season Pass, the four bundles included with it will have a greater value than purchasing them separately.
The Season Pass at its retail price is way too expensive for the amount of content it offers. When discounted (as it currently is), it is worth it. Maybe not compared to giants like the expansions for The Witcher 3 or Cyberpunk 2077.
In my opinion, the Desert Nomad pack is the better choice over the Naboo Nobility pack, which is also available at the same price and is also included in the Season Pass.
