Learn how to unlock and complete the Miyuki Trade League contracts from the Star Wars Outlaws DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune and what rewards you can earn from them.

What is the Miyuki Trade League

The Miyuki Trade League is a faction of smugglers known for their reliability. Kay Vess can get the opportunity to work for them and their clients while earning some great rewards.

The contracts offered by the Miyuki Trade League are all space missions with levels of difficulty determined by you. The more difficult the contract, the more rewards you’ll reap.

To unlock the Miyuki Trade League contract broker, you’ll need to complete the third quest of A Pirate’s Fortune, No Prey, No Pay. Once you complete this quest, Reess Passik will become a new contract broker after you talk to him in Hauler’s Keep.

How Miyuki Contracts Work

When you select a contract, you’ll get your choice to smuggle for the Ashiga Clan, Crimson Dawn, the Hutt Cartel, and the Pyke Syndicate.

While the rewards seem small, those are merely the base rewards. You can increase the rewards by taking on more cargo.

Select Cargo

Each faction has favored cargo, but you can bring them cargo of any type to complete the contract. If you have the appropriate upgrades, you can haul different types of cargo.

When you start the contract, you can choose how much of each cargo type you’ll want to transport. You can transport up to three of each cargo type. This will increase your rewards, but provide more negative effects.

Cargo Types and Hazards

There are four types of cargo you can haul, each with their own unique effect which will make the job harder. If you carry multiple types of cargo, you’ll have to deal with multiple negative effects at the same time.

Ion Cargo

Ion Cargo is the preferred cargo of the Ashiga Clan. This will convert damage you take into ion damage which can eat away at your shields rather easily. The effects of carrying Ion Cargo are as follows:

of CargoEffects
1Periodically converts all damage taken into ion damage.
2Damage conversion periods last longer.
3Damage conversion periods occur more frequently. If the Trailblazer is ever fully, ionized, the cargo starts to deteriorate and needs to be delivered before the timer runs out.

Volatile Cargo

Volatile Cargo is the preferred cargo of Crimson Dawn. If you receive too much damage while carrying this cargo, you risk having the cargo destroyed. The effects of carrying Volatile Cargo are as follows:

of CargoEffects
1Cargo has a damage threshold, and once that threshold is reached the cargo is destroyed.
2Cargo has a reduced damage threshold before being destroyed.
3Reduces damage threshold even further. When the hold is fully loaded, cargo cannot be repaired during transport.

Timed Cargo

Timed cargo is the preferred cargo of the Hutt Cartel. When you pick up this cargo, you’ll have a limited amount of time to deliver the goods before they’re rendered unusable. The effects of carrying Timed Cargo are as follows:

of CargoEffects
1Timed cargo needs to be delivered before the timer runs out.
2Reduces the timer.
3Reduces the timer further. When fully loaded, taking damage reduces the timer.

Suspicious Cargo

Suspicious Cargo is the preferred cargo of the Pyke Syndicate. This cargo attracts a lot of attention other syndicates. Expect tougher fights when you carry this. The effects of carrying Suspicious Cargo are as follows:

of CargoEffects
1Syndicate enemies will appear along the smuggling route.
2Increase enemy presence.
3Enemies will pilot stronger ships. When fully loaded, enemies will already have taken the shipment and will need to be hunted down.

Contract Rewards

The base pay for the Miyuki Contracts is 375 Credits, 4 Cargo Signature Scramblers, and a small amount of reputation for the faction you’re working for. Depending on the cargo you choose to smuggle, you’ll gain differing amounts of increased rewards.

Favored Cargo Rewards

These are the total amount of rewards you’ll receive for transporting favored cargo for the client:

of CargoStar Wars Outlaws Credits IconReputation Gain
14256Medium
25258Medium
372512Medium

Non-favored Cargo Rewards

These are the total amount of rewards you’ll receive for transporting non-favored cargo for the client:

of CargoStar Wars Outlaws Credits IconReputation Gain
14005Small
24506Small
35508Small

Stacking Rewards

If you’re confident or feeling lucky, you can carry more than one type of cargo for the client. This combines the rewards you’ll gain from the contract.

For example, if you were to have all four types of cargo fully loaded, you would receive the following rewards for completing one contract:

Star Wars Outlaws Credits IconReputation Gain
1,25024Large

Retrieve the Cargo

Once you have selected your client and once you’re transporting, retrieve the cargo located on your map. You’ll encounter some hostiles at the location, destroy them before picking up the cargo.

If you used any cooldowns, wait a moment to let them recharge before picking up the cargo. When you’re ready, pick up the cargo and jump to the destination system. Don’t stick around too long as more enemy ships will spawn in and start attacking you.

Hazardous Cargo will have electricity arcing around it.

Deliver the Cargo

When you make the jump to hyperspace, only jump to your target destination. If you jump to any other system, you will fail the contract.

The moment you reach the destination, you’ll be attacked by hostiles. You’ll have the choice to Defeat or Escape all enemies.

Fighting your enemies risks damaging your cargo, but if you’re skilled and upgraded then this won’t be an issue.

Alternatively, you can run away by hitting the boosters until you reach the destination planet and land. Be sure to only land at your target destination or you’ll fail the contract.

When you deliver cargo to Hauler’s Keep or any other space station, you’ll often have hostiles restricting access to the landing pads. You can also lure hostiles away from a space station, run away, then land at the station to secure the cargo.

Collect your Rewards

When you land at the target destination, you can rest easy and you’ll collect your rewards when you load in. If you completed any Miyuki Objectives, you’ll gain special rewards in your ship’s delivery crate.

Cargo Support and Upgrades

Once you complete contracts, you’ll get Cargo Signature Scramblers that you can use to unlock new Cargo Supports and their upgrades. You can view these in the Trailblazer menu, by talking to Reess Passik, or using the holoprojector in the Trailblazer.

By default, you’ll have the Ion Dampening Hold installed when you talk to Reess Passik after completing the quest No Prey, No Pay.

Unlike other modules, you don’t need to choose which upgrade you want active. You can have all Cargo Support options active a the same time along with their upgrades. Upgrade your ship’s cargo support at a ship mechanic.

It’s definitely worth investing in these upgrades as they’ll make it easier to carry more cargo and beat those Miyuki Trade League objectives. Here are the modules and their upgrade requirements:

Miyuki Trade League Signet Upgrade

After completing a Miyuki contract with at least 6 cargo loaded, you’ll earn this upgrade which opens up new deals at the Miyuki Trade League vendors.

You can purchase new upgrade materials such as Cargo Signature Scramblers, a Blaster Recirculator, an X-FP-C28 Ship Computer, and the P421 Ion Actuator.

This upgrade is necessary to achieve the final upgrade for the Ion Blaster’s Shock Configuration. This is the blaster configuration Hondo Ohnaka gives you after completing Brave the Unknown in A Pirate’s Fortune.

Miyuki Trade League Signet Trinket

Not to be confused with the previously mentioned upgrade, this signet acts as a trinket you can hang in the Trailblazer or on your speeder.

Ion Flare Fuel

The Ion Flare Fuel gives your thrusters a nice teal color. It’s very similar in color to the Megonite-Laden Fuel, only this is a tad more blue.

Fortune Hunter Finish

The most difficult reward to achieve, this paint job has the Trailblazer painted half yellow and half teal. Despite what the description implies, it’s anything but subtle.

Tips for completing Miyuki Contracts

Even though these are among the most difficult contracts in Star Wars Outlaws, they aren’t too bad if you have skill and upgraded components. Here are some tips you can use for completing the Miyuki Contracts.

Unlock all Ship Maneuvers

You’ll need to be more slippery than a greased Hutt to pull off these contracts. Ship maneuvers are a great way to do that, so be sure to unlock them through the Mercenary Expert and the High Roller Expert.

Upgrade your Ion Shield

After completing Brave the Unknown, you’ll unlock the Ion Shield for the Trailblazer. Be sure to visit a ship mechanic to upgrade this component as the increased ion resistance helps you get started when you transport ionized cargo.

Unlock Two Passive System Slots

Purchase the Miyuki Splice Core from a Miyuki Trade League Vendor to unlock a second passive systems slot. You’re going to need both passives to more easily complete contracts.

Land on a Planet for Challenging Objectives

If you’re trying to get the cosmetic items, you’ll want to take on contracts that have you land on a planet and not on a space station.

With all four cargo types loaded, you’re a ticking time bomb with a lot of hostiles on top of you. Your best bet is to avoid combat and book it to the planet. If a cruiser spawns near the planet, simply go to the side to lose it, then land.

Be sure to get at least the second upgrade for all cargo support options to comfortably take on a full load on all cargo types to get that paint job.

The best build for Miyuki Contracts is a highly offensive one. Time is not on your side and you’ll often encounter small fighters trying to stop you. The sooner you can destroy enemies while going from point A to point B, the better.

  1. Rapid Fire Cannons
Since most hostiles you’ll face are nimble starfighters, make it easy on yourself with the Rapid Fire Cannon’s auto-lock feature. If you’re skilled enough, use the Plasburst Cannons.
  2. Cluster Missiles
These are great for finishing off starfighters without any shields. Spread them out and try to not use multiple missiles on one target unless it’s a cruiser.
  3. Laser Turret
Take the laser turret over the ion turret to deal as much damage as possible. Most starfighters you’ll encounter on these contracts are unshielded, so the laser turret can quickly dispatch them.
  4. Power Flux Emitter
It’s on demand heat ventilation, reloaded missile launches, and cooldown resets on the repair system and turret. This works wonders during Miyuki contracts for the majority of situations you’ll encounter.
  5. Precision Optics
These are for the cruisers you’ll encounter before your destination. When the starfighters are down and it’s just the cruiser left, switch to the Laser Cannons and the Heat Sink active system to quickly burn through weak points.
If you don’t have this yet, you can substitute it with the Enriched Coolant to lower the cooldown of your active system.
  6. Over-Clocked Fire Control
This is a great buff for your turret and it’ll help you feel less overwhelmed when fighting multiple starfighters. Be sure to position your turret in a way that allows it to fire on enemy ships.
