What are Iconic Weapons in Cyberpunk
Iconic weapons are special, unique versions of the regular weapons you can find in the base game that are upgradeable using crafting materials and feature completely unique effects.
You’ll almost always find them during main story missions and they typically have some relevance to the story or characters in that mission. Since many mission areas are only accessible during their associated mission, you can miss out on a lot of Iconic weapons.
The only way to acquire Iconic weapons if you didn’t pick them up before is by purchasing them from the Black Market Vendor in EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown. They only show up there after you’ve finished the mission.
While Iconic weapons are typically better than standard ones thanks to their powerful effects and upgradeability, most are completely unmoddable and the rest only let you add a scope and/or muzzle.
There is a subset of Iconic weapons that all share the xMOD-2 name that are slightly better than the standard version baseline but can be upgraded while still retaining their modifiability. Almost all of the xMOD-2 weapons are located in Dogtown.
You aren’t meant to sell Iconic weapons and can’t disasemble them for crafting materials. Instead, you just store them in your Stash and most will show up in custom foam inserts on the walls of your apartments.
All Iconic Weapons
Below, you’ll find a complete list of all Iconic Weapons in the base game in Cyberpunk 2077 along with their locations. None of these weapons require you to purchase the Phantom Liberty expansion. All weapons are depicted as being upgraded to Tier 5++ without any buffs from skill points.
You can customize, search and filter the table. Click or tap on the Weapon Icon or name to see its details in the full catalog below.

Amnesty (Power Revolver)
You receive Cassidy’s Amnesty Revolver by shooting enough bottles in the time allotted, similar to how you get the Lexington xMOD-2 from Wilson.
This challenge is only available past the point of no return at the end of the game if you choose to enlist the help of Panam and the Aldecaldos during the mission “We Gotta Live Together”. There is no quest marker for this gun.
Apparition (Tech Pistol)
You can loot Apparition from the corpse of Frank Nostra at the end of the Corpo-exclusive quest “War Pigs”.
Frank Nostra is a former colleague from your time at Arasaka Counterintelligence who contacts you in the middle of the game, around the time you gain access to Dogtown.
If you aren’t a Corpo, you can purchase this weapon from the Black Market dealer in Dogtown.
Archangel (Power Revolver)
Kerry Eurodyne gives you his gun (the same one he pointed at you when you first met) after you participate in the reunion concert during the mission “A Like Supreme” near the end of Johnny and Kerry’s questline.
Ba Xing Chong (Smart Shotgun)
You can pick up the schematic for Ba Xing Chong from a locked room on the Ebunike after obtaining the Access Token from Adam Smasher. You can only get this weapon after you have beaten the game.
The schematic is in a case on the ground behind the desk.
BFC 9000 (One-Handed Club, Dildo)
The BFC 9000 is yet another dildo weapon in Cyberpunk 2077. It drops from an NPC that crash-landed in an AV on the cliffs near the Petrochem Dam at the southern edge of Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo.
The AV and its passenger do not always seem to be at the crash site, and it is unclear what triggers any of it to appear.
You can easily check if the goods have arrived at their intended destination by driving along the Petrochem Dam, heading towards everyone’s favorite fixer fashionista, Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes, and looking down at the cliffside.
You can’t actually reach him safely from this vantage point. Instead, you need to head over to the parking lot on the curvy road, yes, the same one that has the WORST vehicle mission dropoff point in the game.
Head over to the edge of the parking lot by the sign and hop onto the terrain.
Keep going, remain at the same elevation, and you’ll eventually reach the man holding the Bucket of Fried Chicken 9000 (that’s gotta be what BFC stands for, right?).
If you want the ultimate experience, I highly recommend fighting this man while wielding Sir John Phallustiff and listening to either Duel of Fates or Battle of the Heroes.
Black Unicorn (Katana)
The Black Unicorn is one of the rewards you get for making a CDPR account or linking an existing one to your copy of Cyberpunk 2077 in the game’s launcher.
You will find the Black Unicorn in your storage alongside other rewards.
Bloody Maria (Power Shotgun)
Muamar “El Capitan” Reyes sends Bloody Maria to your storage as the reward for completing all Gigs in Santo Domingo.
Blue Fang (Knife)
You can purchase the Blue Fang from the Melee Weapons Vendor in the middle of nowhere. Her trailer is in the Badlands east of the Biotechnica protein farms.
Breakthrough (Tech Sniper Rifle)
You can loot the schematic for Breakthrough from the corpse of the mini-boss at the NCPD Alert behind the house next to the power substation in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo.
Butcher’s Cleaver (Knife)
You can grab the cleaver from the counter after Placide uses it to decapitate the chicken at the butcher shop during the mission “M’ap Tann Pèlen” at Coastview, Pacifica. You’re only in the room briefly, and it becomes inaccessible once you leave.
Buzzsaw (Power SMG)
You can loot the schematic for the Buzzsaw from the miniboss at the NCPD alert behind the Ripperdoc in Northside, Watson.
Byakko (Katana)
Wakako sends Byakko to your storage as the reward for completing all Gigs in Westbrook.
Caretaker’s Spade (Hammer)
You can pick up the Caretaker’s Spade from the rainforest meeting room in Arasaka Tower during the final mission, past the point of no return.
This weapon is an Easter Egg reference to The Caretaker boss from The Witcher 3.
Walking away from the conference table, leave the path and turn right into the foliage as soon as the landscape edging ends.
Chaos (Tech Pistol)
Chaos is Royce’s gun, you can only loot it from his corpse at All Foods during the mission “The Pickup”, though when that happens depends on the choices you make.
Option 1
If you choose to side with Militech and run from Royce, you can loot it from Royce’s corpse there.
Option 2
If you shoot Royce in the face while he’s actively threatening you during your initial encounter with him, it will be on the ground near his corpse.
Cocktail Stick (Katana)
You can find the Cocktail Stick on the vanity near Evelyn Parker’s jacket on the VIP level at Clouds. This area is only accessible during the mission “Automatic Love”, which is part of Judy and Evelyn’s storyline.
Comrade’s Hammer (Tech Revolver)
You can loot the schematic for Comrade’s Hammer from the miniboss at an NCPD alert near the Drop Point and Red Dirt Bar in Arroyo, Santo Domingo.
Cottonmouth (One-Handed Club)
You can pick up the Cottonmouth from a table in Fingers’ bedroom connected to his surgical practice on Jig-Jig Street. This room is inaccessible until you go on the mission “The Space In Between” with Judy.
Crash (Power Revolver)
River Ward gives you Crash at the end of his questline while the two of you are taking in the view of Night City from the trailer park
Death and Taxes (Power Pistol)
You can grab Death and Taxes from a chair in Maiko’s office at Clouds in Westbrook. This room is only accessible during the mission “Ex-Factor”.
Divided We Stand (Smart Assault Rifle)
You get Divided We Stand from the 6th Street Gang at their party next to the Ripperdoc in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo, either by massacring them and taking it, or winning it after participating in their competition.
Dying Night (Power Pistol)
You can buy Dying Night from Wilson at his Weapon Shop in Megabuilding H10 after he texts you that it’s ready. The text will grant the mission “The Gun”, and it will be available for free alongside his regular inventory.
Errata (Thermal Katana)
You can find Errata resting inside a furnace toward the end of the mission “Disasterpiece”, where you infiltrate a Scav hideout with Judy in order to rescue Evelyn Parker.
This area remains accessible even after completing the mission.
The devs mistakenly forgot to include a Katana that dealt Thermal damage when the game was initially released, so they added it with Game Update 2.0.
Fenrir (Power SMG)
You can loot Fenrir from a medical table inside a Maelstrom hideout near NID: Docks in Northside, Watson. You’ll be sent here by the monk at the docks to help rescue his friend.
Genjiroh (Smart Pistol)
Despite not having any synergy or way to dual wield, you can get 2 Genjirohs from separate quests.
Location 1
During the mission “Play It Safe”, you can get Genjiroh from inside a locked room accessible while you’re dealing with the 3 snipers. You can get into the room if you have met one of several Attribute checks, but the door code is 2906.
Location 2
The second Genjiroh is located on a desk on the first floor of the house at the Arasaka Estate in North Oak, Westbook. You go here if you choose to contact Hanako and work with her at the end of the game past the point of no return, but it’s possible to jump the fence with Fortified Ankles and get it early.
Gold-Plated Baseball Bat (Two-Handed Club)
You can grab the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat after Denny finishes threatening Henry and sets it down near the cement-filled pool during the mission “Second Conflict”, part of Kerry and Johnny’s questline.
Gwynbleidd (Sword)
The Gwynbleidd is given to players who also have The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt registered with their CDPR account.
You will find the Gwynbleidd in your storage alongside other rewards.
Headhunter (Knife)
You can purchase the Headhunter from the Melee Weapon Vendor at West Wind Estate in Pacifica.
Hypercritical (Power Precision Rifle)
You can grab Hypercritical from the bathroom counter when helping Tiny Mike during the Gig: Concrete Cage Trap at Kabuki in Watson.
Jinchu-Maru (Katana)
You can loot Jinchu-Maru from Oda’s unconscious body after defeating him during the mission Play It Safe. You do not have to kill him to get this weapon.
Kongou (Power Pistol)
You can loot Kongou from the right night stand in the bedroom Yorinobu Arasaka’s penthouse at Konpeki Plaza during the mission The Heist.
La Chingona Dorada (Power Pistols)
La Chingona Dorada means “The Golden Badass” in Spanish. The pistols reward you for landing headshots and swap between both to get the ammo refund.
You can pick up a pair of Jackie’s pistols, Las Chingonas Doradas, from the ofrenda in his honor after the service has concluded at El Coyote Cojo in The Glen, Heywood.
Mama Welles will invite you to his funeral following the mission The Heist.
Lexington x-MOD2 (Power Pistol)
The Lexington x-MOD2 is a more patriotic and modifiable version of the M-10AF Lexington. Other weapons with the X-MOD2 designation work the same way.
You receive the Lexington xMOD-2 for winning Wilson’s shooting competition at his shop in Megabuilding H10 in Little China, Watson. He’ll contact you about it early in the game.
Be sure to save the game beforehand so you can try again if you fail and consider equipping Sandevistan if you’re having trouble.
Lizzie (Tech Pistol)
It seems that Lizzie was not a real person, but rather the personification of the workers’ decision to take up arms.
You can pick up Lizzie from a vacant room in the basement of Lizzie’s Bar during the mission Automatic Love.
Malorian Arms 3516 (Power Pistol)
You take the Malorian Arms 3516 from Grayson aboard the Ebunike during the mission Chippin’ In, which is part of Johnny’s quest line.
Moron Labe (Power Assault Rifle)
You can loot the schematic for Moron Labe from Anton Kolev, the miniboss at the NCPD Alert near a warehouse on the western edge of West Wind Estate in Pacifica.
Mox (Power Shotgun)
Judy leaves the Mox behind on the kitchen counter in her apartment after leaving Night City at the end of her questline.
You must remain on good terms with Judy to get keys to her apartment on Charter St. between Kabuki and Northside in Watson.

You can loot Nehan from Saburo Arasaka’s corpse during the mission The Heist at Konpeki Plaza. Don’t forget to grab Satori from his AV on the roof!

Problem Solver (Power SMG)
You can loot Problem Solver from one of the Raffen Shiv at near the main entrance to the Wraith Camp in the Badlands. It’s not a particularly special enemy like one would expect would drop an Iconic.
You have to visit the Wraith Camp as part of the mission “Riders on the Storm”, which is part of Panam’s questline.
Prototype: Shingen Mark V (Smart SMG)
You can loot Prototype: Shingen Mark V from a shipping container OUTSIDE the warehouse at Arasaka Industrial Park in Arroyo, Santo Domingo. Beware the mine on the floor.
You’ll have to infiltrate this facility with Takemura and hack into one of the parade floats during the mission “Gimme Danger”.
The name Shingen likely refers to Takeda Shingen, a prominent Japanese warlord during the late Sengoku period.
Psalm 11:6 (Power Assault Rifle)
You can loot the schematic for Psalm 11:6 from the corpse of the miniboss at the NCPD alert near the megabuilding and docks in Northside, Watson.
