Update 1.7 of Star Wars Outlaws has landed. It is mainly bug fixes and quality of life changes. Sadly, it also comes with new bugs.

Below is a list of the download sizes and version numbers in brackets:

- PC (Ubisoft Connect): 3.38GB
- Steam: 3.38GB
Update 1.7 Changes Highlights
This update fixes some bugs but introduces a couple of new ones as well.
Kay’s eternal struggle to master the pick-up weapons continues with a new twist. The Raider Ship’s HUD is no longer disappearing.
To compensate for this. some enemies appear to have received extra training as snipers and can detect you at a very great distance.
Let’s take a closer look.
Old bug gone, new bug arrived
There was an issue where pick-up weapons would have no ammo after a save. This was “fixed” and replaced with a bug that now drops your pick-up weapon, and you are no longer able to use it.
This isn’t consistent. Sometimes you can use the pick-up weapon, change to the blaster, and switch back without issues.
Other times, you can’t even switch to it right away, and after a few tries, it will drop off Kay’s waist.
Rokana Raider ship HUD no longer disappears
Using the raider ship could cause the HUD to disappear. I didn’t encounter that bug, but to test if it truly was gone, I spent a good amount of time flying casually between asteroids, Mynock swarms, and other ships.
Hopefully, this issue is solved. In case you still encounter this bug, you can quit to the main menu and then load your last save.
Stormtroopers with eagle eyes
A previous bug prevented Kay from going into low cover in specific areas. That no longer happens. However, I noticed that Stormtroopers were spotting me from a ridiculous distance when I got cover.
So far, I have only experienced this on Akiva, but it’s really frustrating, especially when you want to get inside an Imperial base without triggering the alarms.
The screenshot below shows the distance between me and the Stormtroopers that spotted me before calling for backup.
I have never experienced this before, and while it would be a good feature for higher difficulties, it’s definitely not an intended interaction.
In case you were wondering, no Scout Troopers were on the roof of the Imperial Outpost. Just three Stormtroopers standing near the door.
