This guide will show you how to get the Monster Truck Mackinaw “Demiurge”, a completely free and one-of-a-kind vehicle in Cyberpunk 2077.
Requirements to get the car
Our guide will show you all steps, including a few that are part of the popular “Magenta” mystery puzzle or easter egg that spans across multiple games, including The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and possibly the upcoming Cyberpunk 2 and The Witcher 4.
According to comments we have encountered in various fan forums, you can skip some of the steps explained below and still get the reward.
We have tested a number of combinations from a various saves with different progress/levels, including before and after Phantom Liberty. However, we were not able to replicate that. The described steps was the method that worked for us consistently as of Update 2.21.

Travel to the Fast Travel point in the Badlands. On the map, you can see a few buildings in the middle of a square. Search for the church, there is a computer inside.
Skip time to something between 3 and 4 AM. Since you can only fast forward full hours but not minutes, you might have to wait for a little bit. When the time is exactly 4 AM, use the computer and read all messages and files on it. Then exit the computer.
A few steps to the right, you will see an Arasaka arcade machine. Turn it on and exit immediately as soon as the main menu pops up.
This may sound familiar to you. This segment is part of the popular “Magenta” mystery, also known as the “Shocking Pink FF06B5 mystery” – a massive easter egg that spans across multiple games and is yet unfinished.
Return to the closest travel point and go to the Wraith Camp, which is also in the Badlands. Call your vehicle and take the highway leading west to the spot shown on the image below.
Get out of the vehicle and turn to your left side (to the south). It can be difficult to find a specific small spot in the desert. I recommend using this massive landmark in the distance as a reference.
Once you have centered the object on the horizon, walk up in a straight line. Soon, you will find a dirty mattress.
Stand on top of it for 7 real-life minutes without moving or doing anything. V will start coughing and then faint.
A stranger will show up, but all you see are their feet. Once you wake up, the Mackinaw “Demiurge” will be in front of you.
Investigation shows that this NPC appears to be random and not specifically related to a job or a known character. It might be related somehow to another puzzle or easter egg, but that is yet undiscovered.
Your new monster truck is available in your vehicles list to call whenever you like. This is a unique vehicle as there is no other monster truck you can obtain and own in Cyberpunk 2077 currently.
As you can imagine, the Mackinaw Demiurge is the biggest vehicle available for you. It might not be fast, feel good to drive, or be the prettiest truck, but waiting in traffic feels less boring. Hey, you can even be that annoying person who creates chaos for everyone else if you wish to.
