Disney and Webtoon join forces, Darth Revan to appear in new show, and everything that happened in the week of August 9 – August 15, 2025.
Revan joins LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy
Darth Revan became a fan-favorite more than twenty years ago when Knights of the Old Republic first came out. Since then, we have received a few items of this iconic character, but many of us have been eagerly awaiting his reintroduction in modern Star Wars media.
Well, our prayers have been answered (kind of), as Revan is appearing in LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past. The trailer shows dozens of characters while being very sneaky about Revan’s appearance.
He appears for less than a second, but that is enough time for us to slow it down and see the mythical Jedi wielding his red and purple lightsabers. Having an Old Republic series would be amazing, but I seriously doubt something like that will ever happen. At least he’s appearing in a show that doesn’t care much about canon or continuity. This way, we get to see him without it being disruptive to his lore.
Revan’s appearance isn’t the only exciting thing about this show. We will have many people reprising their characters, with my personal highlights being Cameron Monaghan as Cal Kestis, Nika Futterman as Asajj Ventress, and a special appearance of Mark Hamill.
Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past will also feature Alan Tudyk as K-2SO, Ben Schwartz as Jaxxon, Ahmed Best as Darth Jar Jar, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Sam Witwer as Maul, Matthew Wood as General Grievous, Kelly Marie Tran as Darth Rose Tico, Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka Tano, and James Arnold Taylor as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – Pieces of the Past is coming on September 19, 2025. You can watch the official trailer on YouTube.
Star Wars Trilogy gets inspiration from Andor
Simon Kinberg, who is currently writing his own Star Wars trilogy, has stated that he was deeply inspired by Tony Gilroy’s work in Andor. In an interview for Nerdtropolis, Kinberg stated how much he liked Andor:
“I was super inspired and just sort of awestruck by what Tony Gilroy did with Andor. I thought that was about as good of science fiction storytelling as you can do in any franchise.”
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Kinberg’s work will be derivative from Andor, but it’s nice to see that people who are working on future Star Wars projects praise what Tony Gilroy, Diego Luna, and everyone else involved managed to do with Andor.
Simon Kinberg has worked as a writer on the X-Men franchise, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Sherlock Holmes, The Twilight Zone, and Invasion. We are probably still many years away from learning anything about his trilogy, but at least we know
